I'm am electrician, all my tools are Bosch, anyway, 18v and 12v, this light is great for working in kitchens, inside cupboards and under top cupboards, for fitting sockets and pelmet lighting. I've got a 12v bosch drill and impact driver, the batteries in those seem to last forever, I use them for drilling out the back of light fittings and light duty fixing.
I don’t think you mentioned the female threading bore for a tripod mount. It has that as well. And I own a Bosch laser tripod, so that’s versatile. But any older camera tripod should accept it as well. Only negative I can add is that the “carabiner” / lanyard but has gotten a touch wonky; the hinge on it isn’t fantastic. But it still works as a hook. Great light

Thanks for this review you really got to the point. I like that you've got several reasons to buy the Bosch light not just reading the box and showing the features. I'm considering getting into the Bosch 12v line.

@@campbellbuilt What do you think about the Bosch 12v line? I am interested in getting some 12v Bosch tools for my landscaping business.
What exactly would you be using it for? We are heavily invested in the Bosch 12v tool line up because their more inline with fine carpentry than other tool manufacturers. I’m more inclined to recommend DeWALTs 12v line for their new impacts. Harley runs the DeWALT 12v tools and I believe it would be better tools for landscaping. They have a pretty excellent light as well, not as nice as Bosch’s lights but still nice.
@@campbellbuilt I just needed something for quick fixes and maintenance. Sometimes I have to do a quick fix on a fence or put screws in my yard tools. Nothing really where I would push the tools too hard. Maybe cut a small tree branch here or there. I figure 12v would store easier in my van.
Bosch would work just fine then.

Cool light good ideas on different ways to use.
You can also reduce the brightness by doing a long-press. So this device has only 2 brightness levels. 330lm is not bad, but note eg Brennenstuhl PF 1000 MA has 1000lm with USB charge and powerbank capacity for half the price incl batteries. The Bosch is more solid/flexible and has replaceable batteries of course. The Brennenstuhl needs some accessories for magnetic clamping.
I forgot to mention the dimmer setting. Thanks for pointing that out.

We’ve never used the Milwaukee. Some of our subs have had them on the job but no first hand experience.
I don't care what people say. I think Milwaukee has a lot of useless lights that don't work very well. I also don't like their rechargeable personal light collection especially when you compare it against the competitors. Makita is also up there with some of the worst lights I have ever tried.
