Also got this a week or so ago, very versatile light. SO much better than the old one and besides being a great companion it takes up very little extra space when I pack out my Bosch gear in a larger Systainer. Well done Bosch.

Couldn't agree more. I was excited when mine first arrived when it was released a few weeks ago as well! Bosch listened to some of the improvements they could make on the gen1 and flawlessly executed with this new gen2.

i just picked up this same light to replace a M12 ROVER Service & Repair Flood Light from Milwaukee. the milwaukee is a nice light but i could never get it in the right angle while underneath a truck cause the light is fixed besides the small amount of pivoting. i havent had a chance to use this bosch on anything automotive yet but just from using it while fixing up the house i can say that its a much better light than the milwaukee

100% agree you have endless options with this Bosch light. The 10 hr runtime with the brightest setting is also impressive on a small 4ah battery!

I use this light’s 12V alternative for years (GLI 12V-330) and I’m happy that Bosch released this model for 18V platform. I’m going to add this & 1200 lumen model to my arsenal :)
    Thanks for video.

Bosch released a similar style model but with 2100lm for home and garden line. could've done at least 1,000lm for professional lineups.

I am sorry to say that Milwaukee has the worst selection of LEDs despite being heavily invested. Bosch does put more thought when it comes to designing their lights.

I agree Bosch has done a good job designing their work lights to do more than just produce lumens. The other thing I really like about Bosch LEDs is the color temperature which is 5000k vs the warm/dull 3000k that Milwaukee uses. Personally, I like the day light 5000k much better as it produces better visibility.

I have many Bosch work lights, ranging from 12VDC to 18V 10000 lumen lights.
My favorite is my first one, 12V 300 lumens, for it provides the functionality and reliability I'm looking for in work lights. For many years, I used 12V light nearly every day, been abused beyond Bosch's specs, still works like new, but always looking to extend the 6-hour light output with provided 2ah battery.
The worst Bosch light I have is an 18V 420-lumen light, which almost functions like ultra junk-grade and completely useless Chiness-designed flashlight, works like a spotlight to irritate people nearby.
I hope Bosch engineers got this right this time as their highly versatile and useful 12VDC worklight. Hopefully, this will sufficiently, and more importantly, evenly illuminate the work area without needlessly draining the battery.
I don't believe run-time with 4AH battery at 800 lumen output will be nearly as much as 10 hours. I hope it's an honest mistake by marketing department. We're so fedup by Amazon junk that's all over-exaggerated specifications that is why I pay more to buy products with reputable brand names.

I agree the 12v 300 has been one of my favorite Bosch lights as well. For the 18v 420 light, I personally liked it over the years because of the small size. With that said, you're right that spotlight vs flood option doesn't work so I never used that cheap plastic dial on the front. This new 18v 800 lumen light is definitely an improvement over the 420 lumen.

I have them both but the 800 lumen one is much more versatile.

100% agree! This gen2 can be used at nearly any angle.
