Colour histogram is pretty similar to the normal histrogram the only difference is that the normal histogram gives you the overall exposure reading and the colour one gives you red green and blue. And tell you which colour is how exposed. If you know how to red the normal one you will understand the colour one. If your colour histogram is further to the left means is darker/under exposed further to the right then it’s at some point over exposed. Easy test take a correct exposure of the sky when you have blue sky with clouds and then over expose and you should see the difference in the blues of the histogram
