I have had this happen to me; a short scifi story I once wrote ended up (long story) bein analyzed by a professional, and their analysis talked about stuff like how the society is seen as uncaring utopia (I hadn't even mentioned the society or civilization beyond some scientific interest on the phenomenon at hand), how an individual has no value (a short story with a single character and their POV of the event) and went off from that. I was like "did you confuse my story for someone else's by any chance?" Everyone I know who writes, has had that happen. Literary analyzers make all of it up 99% of the time, often missing the actual themes actually written into the story. (In my story's case of alien life existing but viewing us as animals, and so not reacting to our doings any more than we react to the doings of wildlife when they don't inconvenience us.) And yes they were specifically scifi story analyst.
I can't believe it someone made it the equivalent of a main character just doing their thing, and everyone thinks its all part of their plan in a space setting i love it so much.

John's not even playing a game and he's still beating out the other two, one of whom is four layers deep in the iceberg, overthinking everything while trying to determine her next move, and the other is playing just below the surface, and enjoying the game.

got to love this series. Humans are beyond what everyone in the galaxy's, except for one other species, to understand because we are too different. And durring a simple "hey I'd like to see your homeworld" conversation the only other species that even has a shred of understanding for Humans and Varg are trying to read between the lines into things that don't exist is just pure comedy.
