Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
I forgot to label one of the albums I was listening to. It was Peter Gabriel, "Passion", which is the soundtrack to the movie "The Last Temptation of Christ". Amazing album if you like middle eastern music. Surprising that it's by Peter Gabriel since it's so completely different from his pop songs. And for anyone wondering why I didn't go to Changu Lake, considering the weather I decided it wasn't worth spending a day driving there and back just to see a fogged in lake. I was also looking into heading to north Sikkim, but it's complicated. You need a special permit, you can't go alone and it's higher elevation so riskier traveling in the middle of winter. Unfortunately the weather didn't turn sunny today, but it's supposed to be clear on Monday. Hoping that turns out to be the case. I've been in the Himalayas for nine days now without seeing the mountains. I'm going to hang in there for another couple days and hope that the skies clear up. Either way I'll plan to get out of the mountains soon and head somewhere warmer. It's about time for a beer on the beach.
PG has new stuff that's out. ..1st new stuff in 20 yrs I think
my best bro looking handsome thank you for your huge respect against cpec friendship countries lot of love from your best bro viki 💙
The architecture is awesome as is Mr. Brahman Bull all done up at 00:05.
Back to Maldives !!!
Visit chaar dhaams in odisha Gujarat uttrakhand Tamil Nadu ...... in odisha nd Gujarat you will find beaches
So much mystery, such intricate architecture, never knew of such places existed. Utterly impressive.
As someone who is more a fan of mountains than beaches, this Sikkim series is AMAZING. You always find a way to balance things out and scratch the itch for all kinds of climates and cultures. Thank you!
I love a sunny day, but the misty overcast day works for me. Viewing these mystical temples and sacred effigies shrouded in mist and fog is a great way to see them for the first time.
I wonder how many people out there decided to quit their boring jobs and go OUT THERE and travel because of all of Gabriels videos and adventures. I bet many!
If I knew how to do it $$$ I would!!!
@@PJL7095 it’s a great idea, instead of “Where’s Waldo, we’d have “Where’s Gabriel”. Lol
@@PJL7095 maybe you can be the first. 🤷♀️
@@PJL7095 🤣🤣🤣 he likes beer. Maybe you can still pull it off. I watch too from the couch, but I’m a teetotaler
I feel sorry for all you folks with boring jobs
Gabriel, Am really impressed by the Temple Complex.
It was a significant feat to even get the construction materials there. Beautifully designed & realised.
Did familiarise myself with Uttarakhand, you were correct - those Temples are near 600Miles away from quick inspection.
Stay safe with best wishes & thanks for your work behind the Camera.
Awesome place! What an adventure! Nothing like discovering something that you didn't expect! Happy for you and thank you for sharing 😉
The Char Dhams and other temples in that complex were made to detail. Very minute things like the designs inside and outside the temples were matching to the original one. Definately worth a visit. I didn't know such place existed. Adding this to my bucket list during my Sikkim trip (whenever it happens)
Sikkim is spiritual!
Your facination and the quest for adventure is seeping through these videos.
Namaskar Gabriel. I have really enjoyed many of your videos. You bring out the essence of the places you visit with your exploration of every nook and cranny. These videos from Darjeeling and Sikkim are no exception. Your research and the background knowledge on religions and cultures make the details you provide spot on. You certainly bring a sense of excitement and adventure in travel. Thank you Gabe ! 🙏
Glad you got a roadtrip in - clean country with recycling too!
Although fog was a major hindrance in your Sikkim series, the sights of the temples and bridges were truly magnificent.
Nailed this one Gabriel ! Gr8 content ! To me, the sight of the huge Shiva statue hiding behind the fog, barely visible was like a dream sequence. Loved it.
Truly Epic Gabe, Thank You! Loved it!
That ManU headliner really tops it all @27:00 I'd really like one of those now too. I'm so glad to see all the official Organic local markets, even though the hours might not be around the clock 247. Thanks for getting there and taking the punishments of rides and weather. Happy trails! 🌲😎🌲
The char dham temples visited are replicas of the original temples in different places in Indian
Yes, I eventually figured that out, pretty cool.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos The other like the Sirdi Sai temple, Balaji temple of Tirupati, The Somnath temple of Somnath and all the rest are also of the same ilk.
Nice! Videos have been epic, looking forward to this one.
Beyond my imagining! Love it! Thanks for the daily transport to a fond time and place in ,my heart.
This was an amazing day! This is up there with all your videos! Enjoy the moments of Sikkim!
You’re handling this crappy weather situation really well.
The stuff on the ground is interesting too.
Keep the faith.
Hi Gabriel. Just want to say my favorite part of your videos are the "driving" scenes (by car, bus, rickshaw, jeep etc) backed by some cool ethnic music. REALLY takes me there and SO SO much to see. LOVE it. Thank you again for posting so much! Fog or no fog, your vids are spectacular. stay safe.
Lovely! The Dham looked magnificent with all that fog around....
➡️ I love the fog! It's very spooky and atmospheric ❤️
I never knew anything about Sikkim therefore Thank you Gabe for all the videos
Fabulous. No other word for it. A truly wonderful part of the world.
Amazing temple complex - almost worth all that dang fog! Thanks Gabe.
loving your adventures in Sikkim and todays temple visits were amazing and interesting! the scenery is superb and the car journey looked dangerous in places. Looking forward to seeing more. travel safe Gabe.
Great video! Good job on getting out and seeing the local sights despite the unagreeable weather. Thanks for taking us along!
I think you are in your happy place in the Himalayas ~ even in the fog.
Awesome video as per usual. I appreciate your kindness to the locals. You are always very respectful.
M.g. Marc you showed previously and the entire Himalayas region just seem amazing. ~
The Himalayas is a mysterious area indeed. The contrast of the beautiful adorned temples and shrines, and then the very humble towns. But they adore their imagery.
Gabriel and India, a magical combination.
Pelling is beautiful, we got some breathtaking views there but we went in Oct. Hopefully you have some luck tomorrow!
A fascinating story of your continuing journey. Great images despite the mist. Good music too. Very interesting.
Beautiful! Thanks Gabriel.
I truly enjoy your videos Gabriel... great stuff!
Thank you for sharing, your travels. Very inspired to travel to India.
Thank you Gabriel ! I never knew anything about Sikkim. Just that it exists and that one needs a special permit . I really enjoy your videos about this part of India.
Thank you, that was highly enjoyable. 🙏
Seems like such a relaxing place to be. I'm liking this India series.
“While my sitar gently weeps”, something special about specially the fusion of western chords
This Chardham looks like the religious Las Vegas (with the replicas) of Sikkim🤩🤣
I did a road trip in India from Jammu to Srinagar. Never again 😧 It was horrendous in terms of the driver looking as if he wanted to kill all of us because of driving fast and overtaking on blind corners on steep mountain roads. Every mile of that route reminded you of relics of destroyed vehicles down the steep roads and photographs and names of those who died on the route. I was forced to be awake and looking at the driver rather than the scenery. On the way back I took a plane ✈️ from Srinagar to Delhi. Unfortunately that journey was quite bad because there was a big turbulence on the plane and my wife was grabbing my hands as if this would be our last journey in life.
I saw two accidents on the road to Srinigar. I guess there's a train now, which sounds a lot better. Here's my video of that trip: ua-cam.com/video/ktzrPaFrq84/v-deo.html
@@GabrielTravelerVideos At present there is no direct train from Jammu to Srinagar, From Jammu you have to go to Banihal by bus and then you will get a direct train from Banihal to Srinagar.
We face this on a day to day basis that is how India and most countries in the east are life moves on
@@dee74raz I see.
travelling in Himalayas is not for everyone
What a beautiful place! Gabe! 🙏 I like to go back to India
As always top of the like when you look at Gabes epis trips….
UA-camr #1 for sure🙏👌💥
Nice cloudy weather. It's relaxing.
I just finished the video you made in the rain. Drank a glass of wine at the Taste of India. I loved the vibe of that one. Walking in the rain can be fun. The musician on the street was awesome. Keep up the great work, Gabe.
Maybe not in sandals, though. 😀
Killer content as always. Beats the Mall video hands down
Thanks!
Thanks a lot man!
Just amazing, thank you for sharing with us your beautiful spiritual journey. Namaste
Good job 👏😁Thanks for sharing and take care 😁✌
so cool to be there almost alone.
The legend... Fantastic journey
That was beautiful and peaceful.
Pelling is a remote village. Close to Yuksom from where trek to Kanchanjunga starts(Goechela trek). One can see left peaks of Kanchanjunga(Mount Pandim) and parts of main Kanchanjunga from Pelling. A silent remote place where there is no medical shops and only one ATM(when I was there..).
Stunning!
Another great content. Tha ks for sharing
Dude, I don't care that it's foggy all the time and can't see the mountains. You make great content no matter what. I always watch every from start to full finish. I like all your videos as well. I love helping you out all I can. Much love. Have fun! The skies will clear soon! 🤙
Cool man, glad to hear it. ✌
Its like you have been teleported onto another planet.
As always great video.
great job keep it up!
I love your Himalaya videos! Gabriel Great work! 😀 👍🤝 🇸🇪
Mus admit, thats a pretty freaking amazing place you found.
Stunning sights!!! and they keep them so neat!! amazing Gabe...✨✌
Da Man Wid A Plan 👏🏽👍
this is the main 4 dham , one in dwarka (Gujrat) , Puri ( Odisha), Rameshwaram ( Tamil Nadu ) & Badrinath ( Uttarakhand) all put together in this majestic place in Namachi as replicas though the Pujas here takes place as it happens in the original temples. Also in Namchi u have the 12 Jyotirlingas , 12 main shiva pligrimage sites , thats why this place among the mountains is a must visit .
Thanks for the info.
Very nice state.I visited Namchi few month ago .👍 keep it up bro
Great road trip, rain and wet socks and all🤣I heard some Indian monks say- when in the USA they build amusement parks in the middle of nowhere in India we build temples, that was amazing to see that char Dham complex, especially the money that went into it considering modest living conditions of locals
Puri being one of original 4 Dham, I too second the motion of another commentator to visit that superb little sea town, ( it’s said that it’s outlines resemble the conch shel, I spent several months there way back in the late 90’s early 2000, in a small hotel right on the ocean, it was an authentic heaven for foreigners ( unlike Kovalam or Goa) on the Chakra Thirta rd, on my last visit in 2016 it has changed and foreigners were nowhere to be seen replaced by Indian tourist that used to stay further up the coast closer to the temple, one of the most gorgeous structures in India by the way,
Gabriel I would love to see you go further east instead of west. I’ve always been curious about the extreme north east of India,it’s called the Scotland of India.love your channel safe travels.
Ooh new Gabriel.
Exceptional and very informative video. It disabuses my impression of India as being terribly chaotic and disorganized. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is a very beautiful place, one which I would love to visit one day and trace your footsteps.
Well there are places like you said and there are places like these too.
India is the most diverse country in the world in terms of literally everything
Please avoid the northern cities and hit either the southern Indian coastal areas if you love the sea or either Himachal Pradesh or Uttarakhand if you love the mountains. All the chaos in the world is in the high populated and unorganised north indian cities.
@@alokm1233318 Come on, cities of the north have their own charm. Places like Kaashi and Prayagraj have very deep spiritual vibes. Madhya Pradesh has awesome sites, natural as well as historical. Punjab Haryana too have hidden gems and so much to offer in terms of food and culture.
@@parulsinha3092 it works for indians who can navigate these cities. For foreigners these places are full of scammers, unsafe for single women travellers and unscrupulous pushy touts at every corner near tourist places. Just avoid - this is my advice for first time tourists. Anyways indian govt scams foreign tourists by charging 10x prices without any commensurate facilities at famous buildings etc
Nice One. captured the atmosphere entirely plus the drab weather.
Hi Gabriel, your videos are fascinating. We watched all of them. I would like to know if you plan to back to the beginning now that you have better equipment. I am referring to countries like Guatemala and Belize. I remember you mentioning in one of your previous videos that those videos have a special place because they set the way to where you are now.
Yes, I'd love to return to a lot of places and make better videos. Thanks for watching, glad you're enjoying the vids.
Wow the scenery is beautiful even in the fog the roads look rough though
sikkim is really beautiful, thanks for showing the place, will make a plan soon, the fog is making the place look more beautiful
What an amazing place.
Don’t know if you addressed this but the bells 🔔 are to awaken or get the attention of the deities beforeyou prey??
All ( old and new) installations are religion based. Expected modern tourist based development. The new nation-state stuck into age old tradition. Natural beauty unquestionably splendid. Thanks for your effort to have in-depth information on different temples. Shiva in the foggy background gave a mysterious atmosphere.
No one wants to see the same modern installations wherever they go. A place of natural beauty should remain as such. There's Mumbai and Delhi for modern things to see.
@@parulsinha3092 Missed the point.
Love the vids and I must say you have the SANE taste n music as I do. lol lol Cheers
Real bummer that it's raining all this time, hope things clear up soon. ✌️
From NYC, TIMES SQUARE, SALUTE to you Gabe , watching these amazing videos captured in this kind of weather. just Brilliant Gabe. Where are you heading for warm weather?
Epic traveling, I went to Namchi last Aug and that temple is truly majestic. I am not sure, but if u get permit for North Sikkim and Natula(Indo-China border) /Tsomgo lake u must visit that.
Shiva through fog...well that was amazing
Great video
Go to south Coimbatore and attend the biggest ceremony in India called Mahashivaratri in Isha Yoga Centre.
Tremendous video thanks saludos
Hi Gabriel, that was quite a surprise even you were surprised by what you saw these temples had a nature retreat feel to it. They must offer that to visitors looking for an alternative to traveling in the conventional sense. A meditative retreat for people looking for something different for those seeking spiritual guidance. I don't see why not.
Hi Wilfredo, have you been to such a place in india or elsewhere?
Usually there is no tickets for visiting a temple including Golden Temple, Meenakshi temple (Madurai) etc. Since this is a replica of different temples st one place that's why ₹50 ticket I think.
Sikkim is definitely a one time visit for me.. public transport is limited; in Himachal they run public buses till Tibet border - insane connectivity
I love my hometown Namchi 🙏🙏
Very interesting videos, stay safe
Very nice Capture ❤
Thanks for sharing...
Good News to hear that realistic price on your room in Pelling. IF you ever find an expertly made and classically designed umbrella (it is a good addition to travel)
31:41 Beautiful people.
Epic
too bad about the weather - but you sure are doing your best with what you are dealing with G. ~ JDS/CT be safe
Yeah trying to make the most of it.
The video Pause Tricks is really Amazing because it Arouse everyone that much.
