This is likely the last catch and cook to avoid any potential spread of the virus until things start getting better. It's highly unlikely that I'm spreading the virus when I'm out because I'm going from point A to B without coming into contact with others BUT I'm thinking more about the influence I have on others. Some people may not be as careful when they go out and that can potentially lead to the spread.
Banned here in WA ridiculous. Fishermen are on the verge of civil disobedience because you can fish without spreading it

Hey taku, I am 71 yrs old. I recently broke my back and have been recovering. I have been watching your videos. As a child living in Colorado we always fished for trout in the brooks. When we went camping that fish was all we had to eat along with fried potatoes in the iron skillet. We slept under the stars.
We all need to find our Jocelyn in life, who likes our cooking and drinks beer with us.

Not just eat and drinks beers with us ALSO share, enjoy, and support the hobbies we love. Haven't found one like it in over 20yrs!! All I've encountered are arguments and complaints about my hobbies. Lol. Oh well. Jocelyn and a few are a dime in a dozen. If you find one, marry her!!

Funny, every time I charter a boat and my wife and daughter joins us, I have to get one with the toilet on board!
Kinda hard to pee on the sea, when you're fishing on a boat in the middle of a lake.
Usually means they need more than pee. Change out or what not...
I guarantee he has made a tent for her to pee numerous times.

@JD Rome It happens all the time. Every region in every country has varying ingredients for traditional recipes. If you're such a purist, then what the hell are you doing on this channel? Taku's channel pretty much embodies the best of both worlds with american and japanese ingredients here.
You obviously dont watch his stuff. go back and watch all of them and hopefully you'll have a better appreciation for food and people.
@JD Rome imagine GATEKEEPING food culture and calling people idiots because they want to mix different cultures which is something that happens all the damn time and the results are often amazing. Most recipes can be adapted depending on what you have on hand, and since the techniques are the same and the ingredients are similar, it's still the same food and will be recognised as such.
During corona it's been hard to find good content, I've only recently discovered your channel but it has quickly become my favourite, thanks for putting as much effort as you do and being yourself during these videos. Cheers and stay safe.

pretty late comment on this particular video but I really want to compliment you for how you act as a fisherman!! I believe showing respect (and being grateful) to the fish you catch is super important as well as dispatching it properly (kind of a part of showing respect imo) and you are one of the few (sadly) that do this consistantly.
