I think Michael Morrissey is arrogant enough, delusional enough, vindictive enough, and just evil enough to retry Karen Read even if the vote was 10-2 in favor of not guilty. (I hope it was lopsided like that, but I don't know yet.) I really could see him doing that. Just an awful office. It's so sad to witness because our society needs good moral ethical intelligent and conscientious prosecutors offices.

IF! A second trial happens, the defense will and should not allow , the prosecutor to call the State Police as so-called experts in Medical, Technical or Accident reconstruction

The defense can’t decide who the prosecutor calls as a witness. They can object but it’s the judge who decides. And. The witness you are talking about did not do the prosecutor any favors….
@@josefinasoderholm6488 yes you are correct, still the defense should strongly object!! The prosecutor called in too many witnesses, allowed the State Police to give so called in expert testimony, in fields beyond their education, mudding the real experts. It was a confusing mess.
Well, the super-confusing verdict-slip the jury instructions and the fact that the jury could have the testimony’s either in writing or have them read out didn’t help!! How could they ever have come to a verdict?!?! This case is so faulty but the jury system is also a big issue. This case really proves that!

Her car hit “something “ like her father said while she backed up at 24 miles per hour - all in evidence. Not to mention what her niece heard her say and emts, firemen and on and on.

They were willing to spend a pretty penny on the last two expert witnesses the defense called. They're of the opinion that these witnesses are highly credible.
From an old, retired criminal defense attorney/ State & Federal prosecutor/ Magistrate/ law school prof (JD, SJD, PhD)
District Attorneys USUALLY say they'll re-try cases like this, puff out their chests, talk tough, and posture like big boys and girls.
BUT. THIS Case never should've been prosecuted in the first place. It's irretrievably flawed and corrupted.
Within a few weeks, I expect, we'll start seeing people who were in the house, or with the state police, maybe prosecutors, and possibly judges ending up in Federal lockup.
The small Federal investigation by the FBI for police and prosecutorial misconduct has grown exponentially into major RICO Case.
It seems my recent use of "McAlbert Crime Family" and "McAlbert Mafia" were on point.
Any way you slice it, this Case -- against Karen Read, anyway -- WILL NOT result in a guilty verdict. Re-trying HER would be a bigger train wreck than this one.
IF John O'Keefe's killer(s) are tried again, Karen Read won't be the Defendant.
I SUSPECT that one of the people who was in the Albert house that night has already run to the FBI, cut a deal and ratted- out everything. He KNOWS the "McAlbert Mafia" will make HIM their Fall Guy once they're arrested.
That's what I see coming.

Seems like judicial process is overdue for updating as technology has changed things drastically. But rewatching the trial might be overstepping a bit.

They're already undermining the retrial, if it ever gets that far.
We know John went inside and descended stairs based on his Apple Health data on his cell. Karen saw him walk to the door, and all witnesses saw Karen alone in the car, and John's body wasn't on the lawn. Lucky Lauchran drove by at 2:30 and 3:30, and there was no body on the lawn. At 3:30, a light colored Ford Edge (Colin's car) was parked at the spot where John's body would later be found.
Independent biomechanical engineers proved it was scientifically impossible for John's body to have ended up where it was found due to being struck by Karen's car, and the damage to the car wasn't caused from hitting John.
Proof beyond "reasonable" doubt only applies when jurors aren't UNREASONABLE! For an effective jury panel, most people lack the requisite emotional intelligence to be fair & the ability to give someone grace in times of trauma or grief. They don't realize that people all respond differently when experiencing trauma, or that "not crying during the trial" isn't an indication of guilt.
The lunatics who hear factual, credible, common sense evidence that the car didn't strike a person - and John's injuries weren't caused by a car - from the best independent experts in the nation used by the DOJ & NHL...and _still_ refuse to accept their testimony as true - are serving on juries & putting innocent people in prison ALL over...ALL the time.
So, _why_ is this our chosen justice system? Any of us could be imprisoned for something we didn't do because of those people. There are countless examples of this happening to people who were later exonerated upon further investigation. We cannot stand for this. I don't want these people on my jury if I'm ever falsely accused of a crime! I don't want my freedom taken because of a few people's blind faith in law enforcement or critique of my facial expressions.
Why do we put such an important decision in the hands of a jury with NO prerequisite IQ, education, life experience, or proven open-mindedness? Why wouldn't potential jurors have to pass a thorough screening interview, mental health assessment, psychological evaluation, or emotional intelligence screening? We all agree that our current system is wrought with human error & bias, yet we've done nothing to correct it in over 200 years!
Without enacting a more rigorous jury screening process, here's how we could improve the process to ensure defendants receive the benefit of the doubt while preventing wrongful convictions:
A "guilty" verdict must be unanimous. A 10-2 or 11-1 "not guilty" verdict is an acquittal. That way, 1 or 2 "unreasonable" people won't cause a mistrial!

Can ANYONE explain why karen would assume he was DEAD just because he didn't come home after a HUGE fight where he was drinking and supposedly walked into a party?? No one thinks that way! He didn't have a car to get home! Anyone would assume he passed out at his friend's house! But SHE screams about him being dead and they have to go "look for him?" Why would they have to go look for him if she saw him go in the house? If she saw him go into the house, why not bang on their door and scream, "what did you do to my boyfriend!!??" She never mentioned to ANYONE that he went in the house because she knew he didn't! And she was screaming about hitting him because she KNEW she sped backwards towards him, then curved off....probably thinking she missed him (unfortunately the right side of her SUV hit him!). She knows she hit him. His family isn't stupid, they know she hit him too.... which is why it's so sad for THEM. And no cop is going to plant a bunch of evidence on someone who is innocent so they can help the "real" cop killers get away with it. I suppose it was just pure "luck" that she broke her tail light and started yelling about hitting him? Ridiculous. Cops aren't going to risk going to prison for illegally planting evidence on someone when there's no evidence that the people they are supposedly "covering up a crime for" did anything wrong!??
