Too bad we won't know though. No DNA, no crime scene photos, no evidence, no one in the house was questioned, the basement was cleared out and cleaned, everybody at that house knows nothing, the dog is in another state, and now the house is sold. This case needs to be reopened as far as evidence and dive deep. Someone is being paid here, and the judge needs to go.

Officer O’Keefe didn’t make it into the house ! My guess is he slipped hitting his head on something and she inadvertently hit him with her SUV. There’s too much forensic evidence on her SUV, the fighting they were doing and her voicemails she left after are a huge testament to why he also froze to death. Read knew exactly where his body was as soon as the past the line of trees. None else with her could see anything in relation to her saying John is over there. He was already covered with about 6 inches of snow. She sent messages saying she was going home, than one saying she was home, than left messages on his voicemail saying she hated him, called him a pervert several times, and called his young niece and nephew very bad words. She stated she went to sleep at his house for several hours than woke up at 5am, when she was sending text messages throughout that whole time.

It appears that he was beaten, scratched/clawed and hit with a blunt object. Also, you have to wonder what type of information/evidence did Proctor obtain from the scene and provide to the Examiner during the investigation? Was it complete and untainted? Was the Albert's dog ever checked to see if its DNA matched with the scratches on O'Keefe's arms? This would have helped to prove whether he was inside the house or not. The inside of the house was not investigated for any evidence. Lastly, was everyone interviewed within a reasonable timeframe to check for consistent stories? With all this I just have reasonable doubt.

Now as far as the dress, not my choice of dress to wear to a court room but at least it’s modest enough to cover any cleavage which would be completely inappropriate in court.

Why can't people just pay attention to the testimony? The comments I hear about people concluding, about tattoos, eyes looking at someone, body language. These are all conclusions we make and not factual other than your opinion & mine. This not an episode of L&O.

Thank you for saying that. I have thought the same thing, so many people here seem to hate cops. Everyone here seems to think the police officers are hiding something. You could not get police officers, firemen, paramedics, medical examiner, etc all together willing to lie to save another officer. Willing to lose their jobs to save an officer. Common sense tells you no one would be willing to jeopardize their livelihood to save an officer that some of them don’t even know.

The defence team looked hard for a "doctor" who could tell that the victim was beaten and seed doubt. That is all that the defence knows. SO, they found the doctor "so", because she is SO unprepared and SO unprofessional. Not because she dressed like going to a lake party hoping to find a man to marry, or for having a skull tattoo to advertise death, but for drawing false conclusions. As false as her huge curled eyelashes. It is not irrelevant how you dress or how artificial you want to look. It speaks volumes about you, your character, and your self-esteem. SO it is obvious that nobody looked at her to take her out on a date, but you don't use a court for that. For the trolls that want to jump in, yes, I listened to everything she said and understood all the medical terms she used. The conclusion is the same. The "doctor" wanted attention because her life was empty. SO she accepted the money for her "expert" deposition although she has very limited credibility. SO my conclusion is that Karen Read will pay for what she did, despite her defence trying hard to stage a smoke and mirrors cheap show. Enjoy.
