- Koi Farm is a calm, relaxing game about fish. Koi fish, to be precise, obviously! We have a few ponds, there's a nice stream running between them, and our job is to breed the koi fish to create new types.
However, whilst there is fish breeding going on, one of the big things about Koi Farm is that it is very tranquil and peaceful indeed. The fish swim gently, the grass around the ponds sways softly in the breeze and there's the relaxing sound of birds and the splashing of the water on the rocks. Aaaannnddd relax...
When we're not relaxing we attempt to breed the right types of fish to allow us to complete our book of fish. When we meet certain fish types we can move onto the next set, it's as simple as that!
Mix an orange koi fish with a black koi fish and get an orange koi fish with black spots!
Mix a white koi fish with a yellow koi fish with black spots and get a yellow koi fish with black and white spots!
Mix a white and red spotty koi fish with a black and yellow spotty koi fish and get... well you get the idea.

Koi Farm is a game about playing with koi ponds. Explore an infinite number of procedurally generated koi patterns by crossbreeding your fish, and discover new mutations as you go along.
Features
Create beautiful koi through selective breeding, combine fish with interesting patterns and colors to refine them.
Store the best koi as collectible trading cards, and let the koi book guide you towards new undiscovered mutations.
Generate koi codes, which can be shared as images with other players and dropped into their games to spawn the koi.

It looks like you freed one of those "3 spots on the back" fish around 14:32. I saw that and couldn't believe you were letting the strange looking fish go!
You're absolutely right! I just didn't see it, I guess I saw it as just another type of the same fish and sent it on it's happy stream journey.

In case of you ever play Koi Farm again, you get the three striped koi by breeding two spotted and one spotted kois. 1 spot + 2 spots= 3 spots/stripes.

Search it on UA-cam. They're relaxing videos of people whispering, talking quietly and doing stuff like tapping on things. I watch them on occasion if I'm struggling to sleep.

Penge, you could record combing the sand and I would find it fascinating. Not that this game is boring, not at all. I find it quite charming actually, and very relaxing. As you said, it is a perfect cup of tea game. I really enjoy your commentary and sense of humor. Thank you! :)

@@amjadken From what I've seen on UA-cam a cow is a cow is a cow. It's not about finding different breeds. Same with breeding cows in Minecraft.
You would probably like Niche: A Genetics Survival Game. There's a bit more challenge, but it's still a good puzzle game. JessiMew has a lot of in depth let's plays about it.

I thought koi ponds have a very agricultural tradition, I hope they make the raising of them, reflect as much. and add Tilapia, cause they are rice patty fish too.

This is an interesting game.
I mean the concept is simple but it is very clever. Plus it's so... calm... aaahhh caallmmm....
I played a similar game to this many years about, but about washing socks. You had to find the sets of various looking socks. There was a washing machine and you could join groups and and swap them with people and help each other collect their collections. That too was very relaxing. :-)

No, it's just a one off. It doesn't really have series potential.
There's a cunning way to see whether something is a one off or part of a series. On the thumbnail, if there's a number in the bottom left then it's a series (or mini series) and if there's no number then it's a one-off!
The three dots seems more like stripes to me... Maybe you need a zebra koi?
He actually had a fish earlier on that looked like it was striped, but he threw it into the river because he already had lots of white with black ones

does the game create a fish with the same colour twice example a Black white white fish or a black white black fish if so maybe you need a Black white white white fish or in an easier way to say it a black fish with 3 white dots
breeding sugestion a black and white + black and white
could be a Black white white or white black black
then black and white +black and white white ?black with 3 white spots one of your book goals
also you can cheat if you only have a red fish export it and copy the file when import all the files you need of the same fish that means you only have to have a single fish of each type
so you could clear the big pond for files on the computer and import the fish you need from already known fish you have stored

@@TheGeekCupboard getting flashbacks of the money supermarket bull ahaha. No worries - just thought I'd give some feedback. I think its the colour combinations and patterns, and waiting for them to appear and I guess not being able to play the game to figure it out myself whether there are quicker ways to make the fish breed the specific pattern.
