    I think you should connect all of those turret towers with conveyors to some sort of a cargo room, where they will have all the ammo they need. That way they will have both power and ammo will stay as a part of your base.

    LOL! I guess it's really easy to get distracted on what you thought you were gonna do verses what the Reavers have in mind. I spotted the "small grids" off problem a while ago and I'm relieved you fixed it. I dunno, for me my #1 priority would be getting and keeping my defenses up verses greebling the bajesus out of a production room. Although your builds do come out looking pretty sexy! I'm sad I didn't catch this series as it was being recorded but it's great late night TV :)

    I enjoyed this episode. It was my first one. I subbed btw. Also bud, I noticed that you get distracted a lot and when you have a lot going on, you miss things. I saw that reaver wreckage out there and you glanced over several times saying you wondered what was going on. At first I thought it was one of your ships and then when you went over, I saw it was a wrecked reaver. When I get flustered or thinking of several things at once I do the same. Get distracted then a few later get back on track.
    I am two weeks old. I am loving it so far. SE has a steep learning curve, but is so damned fun. I bought all of the DLC’s as well. I am running single player now to learn the game. I haven’t seen any Reavers yet though. Just some wolves. I am on an earth like planet and splashed down in the snowy mountains. Anyway, I am gonna watch your episodes from the beginning of this series. I am east coast USA and I think you are Australian? Any way, I love that base, ships and stuff. It all looks great.
    Makes me look like I am pounding two rocks together! 😱😅😂😁🤣

    I suppose this is the end of the Prometheus era, at least for practical purposes. She served you well.
    I think it would be cool if you had some kind of tiny small grid ship, like a "space bike", that you could build easily and used for transports like the one back to your base.
    Just a bike seat, a couple of batteries, a gyro, a few ion thrusters, a landing gear and a couple of small cargo containers.
    It may be more expensive than just using your jetpack, but I think it would have some utility as a tiny tug, and a bit more cargo. Also, it would look cool.
    Speaking of utility, maybe it's time to design a replacement for your respawn ship. It is very capable, but it has been rebuilt many times in response to your current needs.
    I think you could build something with the same capabilities, but in a more compact frame.
    You don't _have_ to, obviously, but it could be worthwhile as future-proofing.

    About the Build & Repair: I agree that it's a good idea to enlist Bob and his crew for maintenance. I would put one in the main hangar too, and have it on a switch.
    I don't think it's wrong, or "cheating" to use Bob to build stuff, since each unit only builds about as quickly as the player does, but I agree that it seems to be less fun than building stuff yourself.
    I would also put _one_ Bob in any large grid ship, to help with repairs while on an expedition, and also with scrapping destroyed enemy ships.
    I know you can build several units in a ship, to the point where you effectively become invulnerable, but that really doesn't seem like fun.

      I might use it again to grab some Iron pretty soon because I'm running a little low 😊. But yeah it has kinda served it's purpose at this point 😁.
      Man that space bike idea is awesome I might actually make one now!
      I could build another re-spawn style ship, but I might skip that one, I would like to build a large grid weld ship though 😊
      Yeah something like a repair bay, I have been meaning to build something like that after having to repair my small grid hydro mining ship 😎✌️

      @@TheGarageGamer86 A space bike might be more cool than useful, but it _does_ have some utility. Glad you like the idea, maybe it can be a little side project or something.
      The Prometheus is a good ship, to be sure, but your new neighbours play a bit too rough for it.
      Btw, I just came to think of that other ship you captured to use as a decoy a few weeks ago. It _kind of_ worked, except that the Reavers found it before you expected it.
      I've seen someone build decoy "missiles" before, a printable small-grid thing with thrusters and an antenna to draw the attention away from themselves.
      I figure one could do the same with captured ships or derelicts, once the most useful stuff has been stripped from them. Put in an antenna, make sure there is at least one functional thruster etc, and set them off to fly past an enemy patrol...
      Might be a little bit wasteful, but it could be pretty fun.

    I'm loving this series and how the base is growing.
    One thing I personaly like to do that is only possible since I also cut the voxels the least I can is to use the natural halls as decoration, I have to be creative with windows and such to keep the air in , including stuff inside the voxel that I have to build welders to weld, but I really like the aestetics of it. the reason I'm saying this is that when you started placing beams it kind of reminded my own style of "natural" walls, lol
    I wish I had more DLCs to be able to do some of the stuff you do, really cool stuff there

      Yeah I see what you mean by that, that style of building can definitely look pretty cool, in one of my old bases I had a similar thing where I had the roof made out of glass so you could see the rock and the light shining off of it looked pretty cool 😊

    You need setup a proper air lock, where it will vacuum out your air and retrieve it, then close the inner door ,open the outer door.. alternatively to BoB you could use Welders.. but using BoB to limited zoning, as damage mitigation is fair play IMO..

      Yeah I really gotta get onto that whole airlock thing aye, once I get a bit more of the base laid out I might mess around with that, maybe use those new automation blocks instead of timers this time 😊. Yeah the thought of using welders occurred to me after i welded it all up and I was like darn, maybe I should have gone that route lol, but yeah for repair only I think it's fair ply as well 😎✌️

    from testing all energy based weapons on my own discords server over the entire time the weaponcore mods have been around i would advise on having 5-6 reactors per gun and if using them on a larger area base having at least 10 reactors always running as a backup to ensure your base always has enough power to charge or if you have a massive open area get the power mod that gives you the Power Plants [Reactor,Solar,Battery] (DX 11) it has massive reactors that are able to power anything our mainline ship that can hold off a reaver fleet of over 100 has 6 of the 2nd largest ones and never runs out of power and the charging of the weapons does not even cause a loss in total power to the ships shield grid

      Hmmm interesting I will have to have a look at that mod 🤔. I'm not sure how much these railguns use, I think it's only a few MW as the power on my base seems to be pretty adequate, but these are non-weaponcore guns so that might be why they use so much less than the ones your describing 😊

    The rail guns didnt shoot at 34 mins cause it was a small grid ship, you need to set all assault cannons to hit small grid and large grid, so you atleast have something shooting at anything coming in.

    Maybe consider building a ship repair bay? You will still have to bring damaged ships to it so not “cheating”, but it keeps things moving along and saves you time.

    I'm on your side here with the build and repair mod. Don't use it to build stuff, but to repair damage caused by the attacks. It is just tedious and time consuming to constantly repair everything that gets damaged and doesn't add value to the series.

    Nice, you changed your mind a little bit and acutally put nanobots in the game. I mean, you do you, its your channel, your gameplay, I just think that you would be less annoyed to build big if you had bots building for you. The ammount of resource grinding is already an annoyance unless you use the nanobot drill but still you will spend a lot of time grinding resources.
    With reavers in place you will have combat as well as creative part in game, so if you waste time building/welding while there are enemies at the front door, it kinda doesn't feel safe.

      Yeah I do use the nanobot's a little bit, maybe not so much for building but repairs I kinda like them. That was really the only annoying part, was having to rebuild the same thing over and over, the rest isn't too bad and I don't mind it, I do need a new large grid weld ship though 😊

      I don't remember what the settings are called, but yes, it's possible to have Build & Repair set to only repair.

      Yeah you just turn off the switch that says "Build new" and then they will only repair 😊👌

    30:53 I think the intensity is to low, which might be why you can't see them against the ceiling lights.

    i have always fired at power systems if they dont explode you can grab the ammo and uranium and the hydrogen or tow them back for parts

    A mod you might want to look into is "Projection Status". It can highlight blocks that are damaged, missing, wrong block type, wrong colour or wrong orientation. Very handy for fixing up your grid when it gets damaged. These highlights will also show up on a blueprint that is projected by a console so you can have a ship/station status hologram.

    Your "shoot" setting in your guns says off, try turning that on and hopefully that will fix it
