My mom's sister saw him the day before and made my mom go the next day with her. My mom didn't want to go because she wanted to be with her friends! He walked on stage and her jaw dropped. She sat there during the whole concert in awe of him. They decided to wait for him to come out the side door after the show. There were only 2 other people out there waiting! He walked out wearing Blue suede shoes and sang it in the alley to them! They talked for a long time and he signed their knees and hands. He talked to my mom a lot... she was chief cheerleader and homecoming queen. She had a pink dress on with orange and purple flowers. Then she said they ran out of things to say so they told HIM they would go. My mom's sister asked him for a kiss! He kissed her and mama said she couldn't believe she did that and planned to tell her mother what she did! They got in the car and started to drive off and Elvis stopped their car, walked over to mama's window and (her words) he just laid one on her!!! A long kiss! He then looked in her eyes and said, "I could just eat you up, doll" and they said goodbye and left. That was in 1955, I think. Needless to say mama is a huge fan!!! Mama is 80 now and will tell that same story the same way every time. She hasn't forgotten any details. She was a high school math teacher and her students always loved to get her to tell that story. Her boy students would fall out of their desks laughing! They got her a black velvet Elvis painting for teacher appreciation! Lol
