This process no longer works in Resolve 17. Workaround I found is to drag the files directly into the Titles folder in Resolve.

Bro I have a question. Is there a way to show these transitions from Video transitions (Effects library) ? So we don't need to access the fusion page to use these transitions. Also in video transitions the TEMPLATE Folder is not showing. Is there also a way to show this one?

Thanks for the info. I downloaded transitions, titles and templates for DaVinci Resolve from Envato Elements but cant figure out how to install them in DaVinci Resolve 18. I followed the instructions in the video above. But after I clicked "Show Folder" nothing happened. How do I add them to DaVinci on Macbook Pro? The zip files are in my downloads folder right now.

Hi, im on mac an im struggling to find the folder to put my effect into. The three dots doesn't say show folder anymore it says hover scrub preview. I'm on Davinci resolve 18.1.2

Do you know what file type is required for effects? Like, if you have an effect in .mov format, will it work? Or does DaVinci require different formats? Thanks for your help!
There are several different file type for presets, effects, and templates but .mov format should work great for keyed out visual effects 👊✌️
Do you have a step by step tutorial on how to do this. When I do this my screen is just black when I play the title template.
This must be a problem with the title template. This video is as step by step as it gets. I haven't found a more effective way to import titles and templates

This is a great video. My Mac doesn't show an edit folder that I can find in the fusion templates folder and my templates are settings files and not DRFX so I am stuck. Anyone got a tip?
I was having the same issue but I was able to figure it out... Click on Fusion - Then go to titles tab under templates - Instead of clicking on the 3 dots, right click on a gray space right next to "Titles" and you will see a "Show Folder" option. Tried my best to explain this because it's honestly confusing... Lol

I agree with everybody else, you've made all the other 10+ minute videos unnecessary. Hope the algorithm pushes you to the top. Maybe make a video where you are actually doing this process with envato elements or something, you'll easily be number one.

This video should show you directly how to get the presets into the edit tab. From there you can find them under "Titles" in the edit tab. 👍✌️

It just opens desktop and if i try to manually find it, Templates folder it's empty. I have the studio version

Im making the switch from Adobe right now... So a lot of similarities but mostly just need to familarize with layout... one thing I have found out about this process though... Adobe and Resolve are very similar for those in America our two political parties... Adobe is obviously the democratic party in this scenario... Confusing in ways that logically don't make sense why things are the way they are. Ignores flaws and massive issues and consistently blames them on your PC not being good enough...
Resolve is obviously the Republican party..... It just works... and it makes sense.

This was probably a great video when you first created it. Unfortunately, I don't think it works well with 17.4 and above. I get the black screen, similar to a few other people in the comments below. I think the template that I downloaded from Envato might also be dated (Pre 17.4 version).
For some reason it seems like some installs do not have this directory but you can add the folders yourself and it will all work very easy. 👊✌️

Copy/Paste was worked for me. Simply dragging and dropping to the folder would not work.

If you have copied presets to the path shown in this video, the presets will appear in the "Edit" tab under "Titles". You can drag them onto your timeline from there.

Thanks for the information dude, but the funniest part is that actually there are no any free Davinci resolve presets in the whole internet search, to my knowledge. On the other hand, premiere pro and fcp has got a wide range of free presets available all over. If anyone knows some website that will allow us to download free presets for Davinci, please update the link guys....cheers

Yes I can! Presets are pre-made animations or effects that have user controls for customization. The default "Titles" in the edit Tab of Resolve are presets pre-made by the company. For example these are custom presets ua-cam.com/video/ocQrguTBqpE/v-deo.html

🤔 you sure you actually watched the video? At only 15 seconds in I show exactly where to find the directory to copy presets, LUTS, and templates. Then I explain "These are where you copy all your preset files, lut files, or template files"... Please let me know how I can make this easier and I will upload a whole new video 🤷♂️👊✌
