Me too! I test drove a Toyota Tacoma and found out I couldn't get one until mid-March went across the street to Charlie's Honda, and they had three Ridgelines and I test drove. Drove one of them. Came back with my wife and we put money down and bought us a truck. We didn't take delivery for 4 days cuz we were waiting for it to get delivered. It's cobalt blue, and we got a blizzard the day after I picked it up. Up. I'm a machinist in Maine here and I work weekends so the Friday that I first had it was our first blizzard with it and she drove like a champ! It's the nicest riding pickup truck I've ever had and more utilitarian than any other truck and its class far and away!

And the only difference when we go camping will be that I'll be towing my boat and the bed will have room for all my fishing tackle. Great video! Just a couple of points: -for the walk away lock, sometimes it doesn't function properly, but the truck will tell you as soon as you shut the door. One beep is all good. A stuttering beep (I call it the truck yelling at me) and it WILL NOT LOCK when you walk away. You have to either hit the lock button on the door or on the fob. The feature resets the next time you turn the truck on/off. - for the all doors unlock, that is not a recommended setting for solo-safety. If all the doors unlock, anyone can hop in on the other side of the vehicle. I always set the auto unlock to JUST the driver door, and then hit the unlock once my door is open. Getting a little soggy isn't going to kill anyone. LOL

On the instrument panel of my 2020 Black Edition there is a lighted arc (semi-circle) on each end (one on the left and one of the right) that change color as I am driving. It seems to be green when I'm going downhill and it changes to white when going uphill. What's that all about? Related to RPMs or ???
It sounds like you're describing the fuel efficiency back light thats sharing with you're being fuel efficiency (green) and not (white). Thank you for watching
I understand that there is a button only accessible when you have the glovebox open, that will lock (unlock?) the tailgate. Yes? Not inside the box but on the left, outside.
It's not for the tailgate. It's for the lockable trunk. So it can't be opened by the key fob. The manual tailgate opener is behind a keyed door below the tailgate that must be opened with the key from your key fob. Once you open that door, there is a cable that you can pull to manually open the tailgate.
I have a 2022 Black Edition. I can’t get the windows to roll down with a press then a press and hold of the unlock button on the key fob. Does the BE have that feature? The key fob otherwise works fine and the remote start works.
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 yes lock, then tap unlock then hold unlock. I've even tried to hold it for several seconds. Nor a huge problem but it would be nice to be able to open the windows on the hit summer days. Thanks for the response.
All my Ridgelines roll down windows with key fob by just pressing unlock twice with a hold on the second press. This works on all Ridgelines from 2006 to 2023. No need to press lock first
Great video...I have a 2021 Sport and the one feature I really miss from the wife's CRV is cross traffic alert beeps when in reverse.....can this feature be added to the Ridgeline Sport? Thanks Jim
I have noticed that the Cross Traffic System is standard on the vehicles with Blind Spot Information System. Can't add Cross Traffic to a Sport Trim Ridgeline. Thank you for watching Jim.
Thanks a lot Chris, I am on the market for a 2022 ridgeline and wonder...if you can open all with key fob, there must be a way to close everything with key fob, no? Appreciate a response. Thanks
Yes it does, just make sure that you're holding down the unlock button on the second click. Thank you for watching and congratulations on your new Honda
do you have to use the key after using the remote to put the windows down? or can you just get in and drive it and roll windows up yourself? and can you pull pics off of your iphone for wallpaper pics? thanks
You can roll the windows up after getting in the vehicle. I haven't attempted to pull photos off a smartphone to use as wallpaper, but I do have custom wallpaper in the video. Thanks for watching
This is a great tutorial for a new Ridgeline owner! One thing I am lost and cannot figure out is when I turn on the truck the info screen comes up everytime and then the black screen with the clock. I would like to have the AUDIO screen show and then be able to chose the music I want to hear, mostly Sirius radio. Can someone help me on this, I am frustrated with trying to figure out how to make this happen. Thanks
Chris, I found that if I toggled the steering wheel display button pg.212 Ridgeline 2022 manual, I could get the screen to show the home screen now. That allows me to click audio and another click brings up audio on the screen. Then I can chose to go to Sirius or fm from there. This is where I wish the home screen would stay but I still have to choose the Sirius to bring up that screen from the audio display. That is where I wanted it to be and now all is ok till the next time I can't figure this crazy system out. Thanks for answering and I thank you for the videos, they are great. Thanks for explaining how to prevent the mirror from tilting while backing up. My garage has no lines; I want to avoid hitting my other car. Any tips on getting that strong chemical odor out of the in-bed trunk on a new Ridgeline? I've left the trunk open for a few days & recently poured a bag of charcoal in there. The jury's still out on the charcoal.

Vastly improved from the 1st gen?.... cause the only styling difference between this and the previous gen is they squared up the nose trying to make it look like every other Truck out there.
@@steveo4141 more changes than that. And whatever you think of the styling, the soft look of the previous gen was much too soft for my taste. Apparently, the majority of the public and the reviewers feel the same way.
@@PaulSter don't see any other changes...personally I care more about performance...ride quality...resale etc than looks...the advantage of the "SOFT?" look visibility ( can def see better down the slope of the hood).... aerodynamics .. but no matter if a squared nose changes it from a loser to a Winner who am I to argue... it's sad people could not see past that and recognize what a great Truck it is.... after all it is so much more than its looks.as for the general public ...most of the general public that buy Trucks can't get past jacked up bricks on wide tires .. box on frame or die..😑.
@@steveo4141 well, I think calling it a 'truck' is a stretch, but hey, nothing to be sad about. I'm guessing they sold about as many 1st gen Ridgelines as they hoped. And looks? Obviously subjective. I've reset everything done all the troubleshooting, even took it to dealer who said oh it's normal to have a shitty sounding stereo in your new $38k truck...

Yes, the Black Edition has this feature. Are you selecting lock one than holding down unlock on the second tap?
@@CrazyHondaChris-H18 yes lock, then tap unlock then hold unlock. I've even tried to hold it for several seconds. Nor a huge problem but it would be nice to be able to open the windows on the hit summer days. Thanks for the response.

Thanks
There may be a settings under system settings that may help. I would have to play with a Ridgeline once I have one available
Thank you for your support and kind works!!
Chris,
I found that if I toggled the steering wheel display button pg.212 Ridgeline 2022 manual, I could get the screen to show the home screen now.
Even looked at a few that covered my wife's Honda Pilot.

Are you asking how to enable the remote start?
Is there a Valet mode on the 2021 RTL-E? And a way to have the delay accessory feature to also keep the radio on?
Yes, without applying on the brake peddle, you select the start button. This gives you access to the radio without turning on the vehicle. If you select it the second time it give you more access to the fan and etc. The third time it turns everything off again. Thank you for watching

No.....
All vehicles wrk the same way.... it can be driven away... but it will not start again once turned off
Definitely a nice infotainment system. Very nice upgrade. Vastly improved styling on the Ridgeline.
Thank you for watching
