Thank you so much for this! Its not the way I do it but I'm definitely trying it out this way because I get pineapples for 2 reasons. I make slices and I make a tea with the core and peel. It's a Caribbean thing we do. If interested here's the recipe for the tea: (Know it's flexible, not percise measurements, customize at your preference) #1: get an organic pineapple, wash and scrub like you would a potato. #2: cut the pineapple like she did. Discard the top and bottom, keep the peels and the core (fiber center). #3: peels, core into a pot, with about 2 litters of water (bit more for the boiling process) bring water into a boil for about 20 to 25 minutes. In between the boiling process grate a little ginger or turmeric or both into the boil. NOTE: ginger and turmeric have a strong taste. A little gose a long way. Use to your taste buds 😋. #4: turn off stove and let steep for 20 minutes. #5: then scoop out large chunks of pineapple, strain the liquid. You may drink it hot or cold. If you like cold then pour liquid in a glass pitcher and chill. I prefer it cold in the summer season, with a squeeze of lemon or lime in my glass. It's not a juice it's more like 🤔....😃 a fruit infused water! I hope you like it if you try it..🤗🍒
Bring to a boil the prewashed pineapple peels and core. Reduce the heat cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Let the covered pot cool to room temperature then strain our the peels. Now refrigerate the delicious pineapple juice. For extra flavor you can add chunks of fresh ginger to the boiling peels
Thank you so much!! I actually have a pineapple that I have to cut today and this is super helpful!! I don't normally comment but I just had to thank you for this hack it was perfect timing!!

Check out the spiral pineapple cutter tools. They work incredibly well!
Why would you not eat the center? It is my favorite part of a pineapple
how to waste as much pineapple as possible.

I saw on UA-cam that someone was rubbing the pineapple and banging it on the floor and then just pull the sections off. I don't know 😕! Joan Bates
