I have a 15 tlx and this must be a common problem because I have seen this problem on a lot of TLXs on Facebook forums but thank you now I can order the part and install myself.

As others have said - thanks for the video! Thank you for mentioning the 6 pieces holding in the camera area from the back - as I first only did 4 and had some issues getting it out. Once I got all 6 out and removed my license plate it was a lot easier. Thanks again!
Thank you for a clear, short, and accurate video. I bought and after-market replacement camera (on eBay) and have been dreading installing it because it seems there's always something unforeseen that makes it a bigger job than it needs to be. I did exactly what you did and it worked like a charm the first time. I guess now the only thing left to do is try one of your recipes.
Should you know the exact model of the camera or just model of the car is enough?

Can you say which specific acura part number your ordered? I am getting confused with different part numbers. Also other than camera which additional parts needs to be ordered or just camera will come with all inclusive?

First, thanks for the video, it was helpful. But dude, you don't need the "...consult a licensed mechanic..." disclaimer before the video. I'm definitely NOT going to consult a licensed mechanic, that's why I'm watching your video!! Anyways, just wanted to add that it's not necessary to remove so many clips and the side guards. You just take out the clips along the outer edge of the liner and it gives you plenty of room to access the camera. Then, with a plastic tool, you just pry open that black trim on the outside of the camera -- you don't need to get inside with the long-nose pliers to pinch the white clips. They release fine from the outside and don't break. And you don't even need to remove the black trim completely, just enough to wiggle the camera out. Then after you put in the camera you just push the clips back in.
Will this work on a Acura MDX 2008? The image is not great quality and I'm wondering if it's the camera or the display unit.

Thank you for this video. You gave me HOPE of saving money than going to ACURA coz they charge a lot! $300-400. When you said about the 6pcs of white thing that will take time because they're in an awkward spot, what are they for? and do I have to put them back after? or how to put them back. sorry for being a newbie :D
These 6 grommets hold on the strip of plastic which actually secures the camera in place. You don’t have to remove all of them. This piece is important, putting it back is simple, it snaps right back in. If you’re unsure - I’d recommend to consult a licensed mechanic!
What was the issue? blurry?
My camera was just showing a blank (black) screen when reversing. Guidance Lines were still there and working fine. That said I swithed the camera and installed a new one. Unfortunately I still get a blank/black screen when reversing. Guidance lines again pop up just fine on the new camera, but the rearview cam still doesn't work. Has anyone else experienced this? or know what it could be?

Ebay is a good place to look.
I wouldnt suggest trying this unless you have tools and are good at stuff like this
