- Hey everyone, this is my first video! Through time, my video editing skills and camera equipment will improve, everyone starts from somewhere right?
This is a video my about 2015 Acura TLX Elite SH-AWD with 41,000kms, enjoy!
I drive this same car and didn’t know that there was a mic in the steering wheel for saying addresses so this was actually really helpful. Appreciate it!
How is it been with the tramission i been reading lots of people saying it shifts hard and that its a bad car, i was thinking on buying one but now im nervous

Thanks, Mike. Clunky transmission would have been a deal breaker for me - you hear about it a lot - but relieved it can mitigated.
I think the transmission issues have been fixed in the 2018 and above model years.
There is a fix transmission reset you can do it yourself

Mike, you did a great job. You didn't seem nervous at all. I have a 2019 TLX ASpec blue with Red interior. I don't have the windshield de-ice button. I have to read my manual to see if it may be automatic or if they did away with it. Great video.
This feature might be exclusive to Canadian models only. Same for the rear heated seats and heated steering wheel

4:41 In my 2015 TLX I’m able to say the entire address by voice all at once... for example “321 Main Street, Chicago, Illinois” and it usually gets it right.
Interesting! I've tried so many different iterations of saying the address including the format you mentioned, still didn't work. Who knows!
Good video. I was looking for something like this because I'm so frustrated with my voice "recognition" not recognizing. I'm truly disappointed in Acura's system. I think it needs a lot of work. Hopefully their newer models have improved
I feel u I got this same car in the advance package shawd model and i must agree, the system is totally out of date.....

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the electronic parking brake will automatically disengage when you drive off, even if you don't manually disengage.
Also by holding down the unlock button on the key fob, ALL the windows will open. Including the sun roof....

Man I’ve managed to get a 2016 tlx with a k24 and it happens to not be the earth dreams motor or whatever that company is called. Smoothest and easily the fastest accelerating car from stock that I’ve owned by far 😂😂😂 I love these little suckers.

That first feature is not available in the usa. I have the awd v6 advanced package( fully loaded). The window defroster is not a function
Canadian options are cool.
The heated windshield is a great feature I did not know, but all the others are common in other cars.
The heated windshield also turns on automatically when the outside temperature drops to 3C or lower.
Except Vtec, most cars don't have it and even those that do the owners may not know about the extra power available in higher RPMs

Great video man. I'm from Saskatoon. I'm looking at one of these right now for my daily. How's the transmission? I've heard they can be clunky?? And you should throw an intake on that think and then you'll hear that crossover lol. I have a boosted civic with a b18c. The crossover on that will blow your ear drums lol
the transmissions for 2015 MY are clunky especially from 2nd - 3rd. However mine got replaced under warranty and the clunky / jerkiness is gone now. You said it'll be your daily, make sure you can live with the slow reacting transmission. Unless you put it in Sport +, the transmission is really unresponsive.
My car likes to jerk when it shifts from 2 to 3 as well, but after they replaced it it’s gone for you?
Obviously the owner driver has to take some responsibility but there should be a enable switch for the NAV. So that if you have a front passenger they can enter Navigate information, address, change of address, route etc!!

Nice job. Right now I'm on the fence between your exact model (v6 advance awd-sh) and a q50 premium. Ideally I want a 11-14 tl awd, 6 speed manual. But there impossible to find.

The "A Spec" trim or kit was never available for the 2015 MY. It was just called "aero kit", but whatever name it is, it sure does look nice!

Congrats on the purchase! I sold the car about a year ago, but another thing is in the trunk. Open the trunk, lift up the cover to access your storage at the bottom of the trunk. The cover has 2 sides, a felt side and a plastic side. You can flip the cover to whichever side depending on what you're putting in the trunk. When you have muddy boots or snow boots, you can flip it to the plastic side!
Hi just saw this. It’s 2022 & bought this year. Very low low miles & brand new-like! However do u have a tip for fast defrost of back windows? It’s so slow to see clearly! Thx.
You forgot to mention about the auto start/stop. That dumb feature is annoying. I hope Acura should have the permanent switch on/off for that too.

Little hint with these stupid Acura navigation systems. Put the address in before you drive. Otherwise, it's about unusable.

No
I purchased my 2015 Acura TLX in 2016 and had my battery changed three times new.
Yes. I’ve had my 2015 SH-AWD since Feb 2020, and I replaced the battery in April 2020 and May 2022.

How is the transmission? Any rough shifts? My 15 TLX 9at always jerks at first two gears.
andy katherine thats because it is a dual clutch transmission
The 9 speed is a zf not a dct. Only the 4 cylinder tlx has the 8 speed dct not the 6 cylinder engines.
My original transmission was jerky from 2nd - 3rd gear. But now its completely smooth because my transmission has been replaced through my local dealer
djwe124 my 8spd dct is silky smooth!
i find that they like to shift around 3500k through 1st and 2nd. The 9 speed zf. new 10 speed in 19 RDX is silky

You can do “place name” and just say the address normally. like. 1965 Elliott Road Silver Springs Florida. It works amazingly well in my 2016 tlx tech. package. Or does it not work when driving? Thanks for the review.
#6 defective rod bearings that make the engine start knocking around 60k-80k miles requiring engine replacement.

I just dont like how the horse power of the TLX was down graded compared to the 4 gen SH-AWD TL's
My thoughts too, from 305 > 290hp, but when you're driving them both the difference is negligible. Good thing is the TLX is much better on gas!

It doesn’t natively but I’m sure there’s modifications out there where you could do that

windshield ? was it replaced some time ago?
Sometimes the air conditioner in mine condensates. It usually happens if you have the ac on an extreme cold or extreme hot so that could be your problem

Andrew - the SH-AWD is amazing is snow and ice. I put on Michelin X-Ice 3 and it's very planted. I only got stuck once and it was out of my own stupidity *face palm to myself*

No. Not at all. The v6 has 100hp more than the 4 banger.
But it as to Carrie more weight bécasse v6 is heavier and the awd system had weight also..
@@olivierletellier8280 lol the 3.5 has 100hp and 100 ft lbs of torque more. The 4 banger doesn't keep up with the 3.5 at any speed or any rpm for even a split second. It's no comparison.
All wheel drive “elite” 🤣🤣🤣 no such thing as an “elite” option on the tlx lmfao
elite means that these acura comes with more electronic features, like parkins sensors etc
