In 1948, Omega introduced their first Seamaster watch in a 34-millimetre case, and the case design is known today as the Beefy or chubby lug Seamaster. In 2018 Omega reissued this Seamaster with an increased diameter of 38 millimetres. But what some Omega watch fanatics do not know is that in 1949, Omega introduced an oversized version in a 36.5 millimetres case, excluding the crown, under case reference CK 2493, also known as the oversized beefy lug Seamaster watch, which lasted until early 1953.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing. It's actually quite rare to find the original vintage small second version due to those leaf-type hands. Omega probably intentionally selected those hands for the Heritage piece.

I have a OMEGA SEAMASTER Automatic ref: 166.5032Solid 9ct that’s 36.5 mm it’s from the late 60s I like bigger watches thanks for sharing
Nice! What you have is a UK market 166.032. It’s 9k and had the extra 5 in the ref number. International market version will just be 166.032. I’ve made a video on the date version only, but mentioned the day date version in there as well. ua-cam.com/video/LhFYrhGDRIU/v-deo.html
I’ve sold several pieces, I find them to be great watches but very underrated and undervalued.
