Wow that Datsun caught my eye, I remember seeing that very car #5 flash past me very noisily in a UK forest during the 1971 RAC rally, just the thought of that moment now, makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. As you can tell, that car left a lasting impression on me.
So true with The Bruce Lee quote: "Be like Water." It really is a skill of learning, patience, adaptation, flexibility, having fun with exploring not just your surroundings but your trial and error of learning what composition your eye likes 👍
Hi there, thank you for this great video! I have a GR II arriving tomorrow (so psyched!) and I'm curious, which focus mode(s) do you tend to use generally, and in situations like this? And, do you tend to focus and recompose (and does that always work OK?), or move the focus point? Thank you!
Speed is good, but patience is also good. Eventually, you gain an instinct for when to move on. Though having said that, I've definitely moved on from a scene only to see something interesting happen moments later.
Love Ginza and the Ginza 6 mall. Took a lot of pictures there. And they close the street on the weekends. Hope you went to the Ricoh/Pentax store and the Gallery. How long were you in Japan? Do you live there? You should go to Okinawa. Wonderful place for photos also.
Great work tips from great street photograpers 👍👍👍

1:16. that would have been a cool shot with those 2 concrete mixer trucks coming from opposite directions

2:38 Is that a Ricoh billboard in a Ricoh video? That's very well played.
These are edited raw files, correct? It would be nice to see your process getting to this nice tone curve and colour palette.
nice danke
I really like your photos and advice, I miss going to Japan, it is my favorite to visit, I hope the pandemic will end soon!

Thank you!! I really hope so too so I can resume my workshops. :)
Best advice for street photographers: leave the spouse at home so you can manage the time spent yourself 😂
Unless your spouse (like mine) is also a photographer!! :)
Always great tips Lukasz! Thank you and nice shots 👍
Thank you!! :)
Mi is
I always forget to work the scene because I am moving from place to place so fast but everything takes practice and patience. Good video.

So, shoukd I get a mint condition GR 2 or spend on the GR 3 or wait for a hypothetical GR 4 in 2023? (currently sporting a GRD IV)
