He was fine with a character doing something totally different every episode, and Jason tried to reason with him in the ninth episode of the first season saying as an actor he wanted to have proper character development, but Larry David didn't budge.

I worked at Carolina Inn and was a room service bus girl and I ate half eaten steak burgers, leftover fries, cookies...etc...off the plates left outside the guests' doors. Absolutely did! 22 yrs old and starving. I'd collect their leftovers An hour after I delivered the room service and I never once got sick. Gross but when you're poor you'll do it. At least I did. 😅
He was still a real estate agent here so he had plenty of money for eating out, and when he did become unemployed he wasn't seen in restaurants unless someone else was paying. And he was only unemployed for any length of time just once so it all still worked continuity wise.

She offered us a few dollars off of our pizza, which we accepted.
