Thanks for the tips Zenzo. I have a new aquarium service business and I’ve been struggling on ways to drum up new clients. It actually never occurred to me to partner up with my local fish stores. All your ideas are great and I’ll be trying them all. I’m absolutely positive that this is what I was meant to do and I won’t give up till I’m able to retire from doing it. Thanks bro, you’re the best.
Zenzo, Thank you first off. I look at fish keeping and breeding as a hobby. You said that you don't wanna discourage ppl when they won't able to sell off lots of fish or etc. but you have to be truthful in all aspect whomever is looking to do what they wanna do need to hear the facts! Thank again for what you do sharing the knowledge, keep up the great work.👍🏾💥👊🏽
Grate video zenzo iv been breeding African cichilds and cherry shrimp and I have gone from 2 tanks to 14 and I have just realised the it’s better to breed the moorii and obs as the males and females look similar and it’s hard to tell the females lol but I have done really well with cherry shrimp I have 4 different tanks with different colours in and I make all my money from them really and the tanks they need as small so it’s a lot easier
I sell live food. I breed them and sell them locally (micro worms, c.blackworms, Infusoria, daphnia etc). I need it anyway for my breeding tanks. I live in an aquatic third world country meaning breeding my rhinogobius to mud skippers (brackish) brings quite a lot of cash as many stores have a high demand for local breeds (doesn’t exist here). Prices here start with20$ to 60$ per fish. Forgot to mention: I just wanna get some money (back) for the hobby
I've never heard money be called cabbage, but if it is, then that explains the guy in Avatar: the Last Airbender always passionately exclaiming, "My cabbages!"
Auctions and swaps held by aquarium society/club are a really good way to sell fish. Most open to the public, however, out aquarium society has not been holding any during the pandemic.
Great video! Could you please do a video explaining how to start an aquarium maintenance business? Like what supplies you’ll need and the most efficient routine with steps to cleaning a tank. I would be so appreciative! 😁 thank you so much for the video.
They are sound-proofing acoustic panels. I don’t know where these came from (they were ordered by Aquarium Co-op), but they are available online from various companies. The good ones are heavy and are around $80 per blanket/panel.
After working in a larger fish store for 6 months, the point about female cichlids is somewhat valid. I have a lot of customers ask for them for breeding projects, having males display better etc. I wouldn't count females out too much.
Great video, I am currently breeding African cichilds, specifically mbuna and peacock. Also I just created this UA-cam channel and I will be uploading videos. Hopefully it will work out.
Awesome video, just started up a small African cichlid breeding startup, so just looking to sell to support hobby but hoping to eventually scale up. Great info, appreciate the help
The only reason I never try to make money from a hobby is because then it becomes less of a hobby and more like work and I will not enjoy it as much as I did.
Why is it so hard to find kribensis and dwarf cicilids like apistograma agassizii or cacatuoides triple red? It's like rams are all the rage and everyone is missing out on these other stunning fish.
Usually if you are a regular customer and they like you, you can get a better price if you get store credit, because they know the money is coming back and it's not out of pocket for them.
i’m so late on all your posts 😩 i’ve started breeding Corydoras .. i have five species and four have been spawning .. after seeing the FIRST babies hatch and take off, i now can NEVER not try to save every egg so i feel i’ve stumbled into this without wanting it or expecting it .. i hate me and my sensitivity 😂
Awsome. Like I said deep live substrate aquarium cut your cost no filters needed just a decent light in a bio-sponge AirStone Wildfish deserve wild tanks I don't use any medications never had a disease in any of my dirted tanks fish thrive.
Cheers i am thinking of selling plants but i will need alot of space, and that is what i dont have ;P and anyone else full time in the aquarium trade? and how about referral selling aquarium stuffs?

Plants!! Passively growing plants and selling them is a good way to make a few extra dollars

Don’t need to disclaim yourself. All your videos are on point, and you can tell your a genuine, nice human.
Great video Zenzo! Enlightening!!
Hey Zenzo! Have a great day. You're a great one to talk about the fish hobby !
💯🤜🤛❤️
As with everything, money in the fish hobby takes passion! Without passion and just being in it for money will fail.
Audio quality is insane!! 🔥
Some great advice there 👍 a lot of people don’t realize how hard it is to bring in revenue in this hobby unless they diversify
Good morning Zenzo! You are the best 🥰👍🏼

Zenzo always the best❤️🤗 thanks for your experience 🙏🙏
If you don't mind Zenzo, where did you buy the black curtains behind all your tanks?

I breed African cichlids and sell them to my lfs for store credit… great way to supplement the hobby

You didn't specifically mention it, but I sell/ship live foods.
Going down a rabbit hole 😀
The best way is to develop a popular youtube channel.

I got too many fish now, don't wanta trade them in to the fish store for pennies :/ I Think I might need to open a fish store :)
I charge the neighborhood kids a quarter to feed my fish. I make about ten bucks a day and it saves me a ton of time.
I couldn't just watch this on my phone. Needed a bigger screen for sure 💚
I barter baby shrimp and fish for food and credit notes, so cuts my hobby costs way down
"Cabbage"? Haven't heard of that one.
Came thinking you were gonna talk about opening your own store which is a way of making money in the hobby but you didn’t talk about it at all lol
I said make money, not lose money! Lol! 😜 Most people that start a store don’t make it. It’s a hard business to be successful with.
No way iv a female orange n black platie tryn to breed with a harlakin rasbora wtf
Can’t not click on a thumbnail with hundred dollar bills and fish in it.
Cabbage? Hahaha, that's new.
It’s as old as cabbage actually. 🙃
