Today on The Skid Factory Al & Woody finish off Milli's Bedford van & Wire in the Haltech NEXUS R5 VCU before hitting the start button and firing the De-stroked 3.8L Barra into life!

I once wired up an Alpine radio in my LJ torana that only worked when the doors were open. Think I might struggle just a little bit with that haltech.
Great way to prevent copilots from fkn with the radio while driving. Brilliant.

Nearly burned a Lincoln down bypassing the parking brake safety on a head units dvd function... Lost a harness to doing the dumb.

I honestly can't get over this one. I worked on a fleet of CF's when I was an apprentice back a long time ago for a plumbing company and they all were junk your body is like factory in comparison. Awsome build lads.
Different fleet, different country, and I agree - but part of that was probably down to the drivers and "roads" they were driven on.
I am so glad that Woody has been recognized as the muscely armed paper boy that he is! Love to see that the Bedford is back! Much love and respect from Canada!

70k nissan hartley engine not pricey? Plenty of later Transit vans have had barra conversions done in OZ but an old Bedford has that old retro look.
The car Woodie showed us a sneak peek of in the end takes...My guess is an early Nissan Skyline GT-R, around about a '70-'71 model👍🇦🇺

The last thing I wired was a turbo timer in an old Legacy (Liberty). It worked, but when the timer reached zero the horn would honk for three seconds. Took me a solid 4 hours to sort it, not counting the initial time it took me to install. It would literally take me years to sort out the wiring on this. And I would be thrilled if I got 10% of it to work.

Picking its a KPCG10 Skyline, late 60's or very early 70's.
Is that just a guess or did you spot it too?

@@ryangribble7867 Definitely not, the inwards slant on the edge of the bumper was only on the KPGC10, not the GC110 240K.

I've found deutsch plugs at Jaycar are much cheaper than at SCA. They don't have a huge range but they are about half the price.

Every time I watch one of these I tell myself my next project is going to be some kind of electronic/FI/no-distributor thing. Then I got a '25 Franklin. Then I said "NEXT project will DEFINATELY be a computerized one!". Then I pulled my neighbors dead '59 Jag in my garage: SU's and Lucas! Sheesh.

Can't see you having a problem - but a good one to have - is if the left front lifts under drive torque it may cause issues with the traction control, so generally the right front might be a better choice for some as that'll stay in contact a little longer.
The traction control is for roll racing not drag racing, it won't be lifting a wheel off the ground roll racing.

Its a bit sad that Woody wouldn't take one for the team to save Al hours and hours of wiring headaches, I thought you two were a team :P
Building a loom is a one man job unfortunately. If two people work on it, you'll mess up and it won't work. Also Al built tons of them, Woody hasn't and this is a complex loom. A good team knows the strengths of each member and uses those skills to get the best out of the team.

told the driver at my work about the barra bedford he told me he used to have a CF with a jaguar motor in it with the gear stick way back.
The Haltech hoodie is sweet.
Mate had a black V8 Bedford in the 80’s. Ghoul machine that scared the general public. Definite scare factor.
