Heya Phi, since I'm lucky asf and early asf - Love your coverage of Tekken 8. The frame 1 snake edge on the bad breath keep out attempt is insane. He had to do it early enough or eyemusician would have recovered in time to block.
Phidx - Love your detailed breakdowns mate. Newcomer to tekken and learning it all from you from Australia! Question - how does knee move forward in that stutter step fashion like that??? What's the input?
as a bryan main its cool to see that knee is making this weak and insanely difficult(and most honest) character work. making the bryan nation proud with superior fundamentals against the uber tiers
0:20 seeing this list of players really drives home how good the Korean players are. Not knocking other nations, but it seems self evident by results that Korea has it down
its similar to a mishima wave dashing in your face, its to intimidate / encourage pressing. also similar to mishimas, if you just do it without setting a precedent, it probably wont work and you'll get ch. it also applies a mental pressure because if you dont do anything and just let them do it, it can obscure when they are going to make an actual attempt at walking up to you and doing something that is actually scary, like qcb+1 or f+3. they cant turtle to stop that too, because taunt is unblockable and a good player can easily land a taunt b+4 into ff+2, or raw tju in the open. for more of this style of bryan id recommend inkognito tk, hes one of my fav bryans ever
One thing to note is that according to online ranked data, Yoshi is the easiest matchup for Bryan (after Reina) with a win rate of 52.24%. As someone who mains Yoshi myself, I can 100% see why lol. Great video!
@@PhiDX No I just checked on my phone and I can hear it on there as well. I doubt its something most people would notice so not a big deal lol. Just curious what's causing them.
Yoyo PhiDX, Knee couldve done taunt b+4 instead of taunt qcb1, but i think one of the reasons he chose qcb1 instead of b4 is that its +5 on block, so even if you mess it up youre at an advantage. Of course he can just duck it, but yeah XD (Who would duck in this situation really?)
My biggest pet peeve with Tekken 8 is 6F parries and 15f launches especially with crush properties. HUGE upside to stop momentum with very little downside risk. Basically, fuck your frames!!
His lever ( Knee lever neo) was made in his own preferences and Knee himself plays with it , it’s amazing how this lever is build around movement ( of course after years of practice )
Can some please tell me how flash work sometime it hit you attacking or just dashing in or whiffinh (playing tekken for 3 years still don't know how it works)
Its not a parry, but an actual attack with a hitbox, thats why you can still get hit when youre just dashing in or whiffing. It tends to act like a parry a lot however, since it comes out at 6F or 8F, which causes it to interrupt a lot of moves
22:42 Id like to add that Yoshi’s low kick spin is the safest to completely finish. The mid and high spins can be launched upon finishing, but the low kick spin instantly gets you grounded. From there you can either go to instant toe kick to stop those who can pancake flip, or spring kick to dodge a low. Not many Yoshi’s did this but it is a legitimate strategy.

Taunt cancel by press foward and then repeating the taunt
I got a question✋🏽, whats the benefit/ reason to do Bryan's taunt cancel in neutral?
its similar to a mishima wave dashing in your face, its to intimidate / encourage pressing. also similar to mishimas, if you just do it without setting a precedent, it probably wont work and you'll get ch. it also applies a mental pressure because if you dont do anything and just let them do it, it can obscure when they are going to make an actual attempt at walking up to you and doing something that is actually scary, like qcb+1 or f+3. they cant turtle to stop that too, because taunt is unblockable and a good player can easily land a taunt b+4 into ff+2, or raw tju in the open. for more of this style of bryan id recommend inkognito tk, hes one of my fav bryans ever

taunt dash, tap forward and taunt. a little tricky to get the hang of.
His lever ( Knee lever neo) was made in his own preferences and Knee himself plays with it , it’s amazing how this lever is build around movement ( of course after years of practice )
If you’re built different you can also do a reverse korean back dash (ff,df,f) repeatedly which is universal to everyone
Can some please tell me how flash work sometime it hit you attacking or just dashing in or whiffinh (playing tekken for 3 years still don't know how it works)

It's not harder than Taunt B4
Qcb 1 one frame show but input is difficult,
Really depends on what you play on.
Qcb 1 has one frame of leniency for a frame perfect qcb input while b4 is just a b input. Not as hard imo
I thought this was gonna be about joint pain
