I'm glad I can help. From the day it started to the day I got a refund, it was almost 1 year... 1 year of constant fighting. I didn't want to let this one slide. Now, just have to finish fighting for the oven that has been under 'repair' for 5 months.
@@TheStrivering my mom had constant issues out of her fridge too. It was something to do with the freezer not getting cold at times and they would have to go flip the breaker and it would cool again then right back to the same crap. The tech came out twice for about $175 each and didn’t fix it so the dumped it. It wasn’t a Bosch but seems to be that most of these new French door fridges have a lot of issues. My friend had Samsung and had constant issues with the freezer and water coming out of the thing. I’m in the market for a new one myself but I’m worried I’m going to get a total POS.

I’ve been having similar problems with my 6 year old Samsung and was looking at buying this product. appliance manufacturers should be held accountable for extremely defective products and crappy service. Just saw your video. I came home to the same beeping and the freezer not working yesterday. Since it does have 2 compressors, one for the fridge and one for the freezer, you can hear the freezer compressor making noise while trying to operate. It will not get the unit to freeze. I've currently shut it down and need to check a few items. It does have a start up diagnostic and the "connect" app. I'm going to try and see what faults it has if any. I have had some remodel work done and need to check the condenser coils to see if they are dirty. Hopefully this is the issue. Looking at our records we purchased it 4/2021. Its only 3 years old...Ugh.
I was just about to buy a Bosch 800 counter depth fridge. This has me looking elsewhere. Sucks because it’s such a nice fridge and I don’t really like the other options as much....but the way they’re treating you isn’t right. I can’t support that.

I purchased this fridge for a kitchen remodel before I saw your review. I bought at Lowe's, also purchased appliance protection. Lowe's will replace defective appliances. I hope I don't get a lemon, though. It's not installed yet. I am glad you mentioned particular problems to be aware of. Sorry for your experience with that appliance company. They may not be in business for long.

Then I was told they were running about an hour late, then I called at 5pm and was told that the delivery was cancelled (not by me!) and they are out-of-stock until July (maybe). That was 3 weeks ago. I recently moved to a small town and many people have said they know of or had similar experiences. Not happy. Purchased an induction cooktop, fridge and wall oven. all Bosch. There is a factory in New Bern, NC about a 45 minute drive from me. My problem right now is with Lowe's. I'll let you know about Bosch. I love small town living, but I am out of the delivery area for many appliance stores.
We got this Bosch fridge and have exact same issue. We have a Bosch dishwasher and love it, thats why we got the fridge. Its less than 2 years old, and now the water and ice maker arent working. Calling service tomorrow. We got from Best Buy so hoping their service is better.

I'm suprise that Bosch is suppose to be reliable since it's made from Germany. I think you should consider looking into Miele since they are well known for there reliability.
In another video, he said it's made in Mexico. I think products for North America are manufactured in Mexico and those in Europe are manufactured in Germany. Those in Asia are manufactured in China. Part of globalization.
If you live in the USA, you're most likely protected by the lemon law. You should look into it. The company has to replace it under the lemon law after 4 or 5 repairs.
Yes. It's all nice and promising until you dig into it and have legal fees and headaches and a lot of time lost. I looked into it. There's so much cases opened against them, and they just keep prolonging the trails to keep dragging it until people get tired and bail on the claim. It's such a corrupt system.

wow! you should sue them! Mine which is a newer model just stopped working (the fridge part of it). No matter what I press it doesn't work, things stay room temperature. And this happened when I tried to switch to 'eco' mode they have.

I have the same model. I just learned that it would’ve cost me $1600-$4000 to fix it. The recommendation - after two years - is that I give it away and get a new more simple refrigerator. Have you had any satisfaction in your repair? I’m considering options like small claims court or something like that. I paid about 3200 on sale for $3500 refrigerator
You could go to small claims court under the lemon law. But when I looked into it, Bosch has so much law suits open and they just keep pushing them out for years until people drop them. It's sickening how the court system works and how small fish like us can't compete with big corporate sharks. But regardless, two years after the issue happened Bosch finally did a buy back that I had to fight for day and night.
I was minutes away from ordering this fridge.....I purchased the dishwasher about a year ago and I love it so far so was planning on replacing fridge next. I am leery of all of the other brands also, so what one does anyone recommend? Every brand I look at has poor reviews.
They do not accept returns for Bosch or thermador. It's a "special order" item and it has to be deemed unrepairable by the dealer then Bosch has to accept a "buy back" which is basically a complicated version of a return. No one regulates them and they twist everyone how they please.
Thermador is the same crap. Check out my reviews on thermador dishwasher.. I also have a double oven that has 1000's of problems from thermador that I'm working on getting returned. Biggest scam ever. And they don't take returns because it's "special order" so you have to go through hell to prove its broken beyond repair to have it taken back.
I heard so too. My mom has a GE fridge that's 30 years old and it's still working with no service ever done to it. The only thing that recently started to slip up is the vacuum seal strip on the freezer, it seems to be leaking air in. I personally went with a LG, so far it's been a great. My new dishwasher is also LG. I've had a Samsung washer and dryer for 6 years and they are a really good build. Easy to self maintain and self-repair if needed. So I'm going with LG for my kitchen and keeping Samsung for laundry. The thing with Samsung and LG is they take the best appliances, tear them down, and use the same concept but with their own labels but what they do differently is redesign the exterior and the light features to make it look more modern and user-friendly.
One other big thing I stressed in my videos is that to go with a supplier that is the outstanding and customer service. I go with Costco because if I have a problem they will take my return with no question unlike the current company that I want with and when I had a problem they just stood aside and watched.
By the time you missed 20 days of work you could buy another fridge which sucks but you get to the point it’s not worth it anymore. The techs clearly don’t know what they are doing if they are part slapping it like that. On another note I heard Bosch outsources a lot of their fridge stuff and don’t even make the parts themselves. They should be testing and actually diagnosing the problem.
It might just be a bad batch. The tech said there's been a lot lately from Bosch/thermador.. or they might be cutting corners with the pidemic. I don't know.. but the main point of this video isn't the bad fridge, it's the bad service. They shouldn't have dragged it for about a year. They should of just replaced it since it first started to break down when under warranty.
Yes, in my final update video I talk about it. In short, they finally took it back, gave the money back and I got a LG from Costco that has been serving me for over a year without any problems and even though it's shorter than this one, it has more inside space.
I have this exact refrigerator. I would NEVER buy it again. The right door swings partially shut while trying to remove something from inside. I've spilled things several times when the door hits my elbow with the item in hand. They've tried to repair with no resolve. Now my ice maker has quit making ice. The ice is always just like this video shows- stuck together. What a waste of an additional $1000 over whirlpool or other brand.
No. Sadly not. I spoke to them again last Thursday, they promised to do blah blah blah and call me back on Friday (today) but never did. Nothing new. It's very frustrating.
usually the process is they take it back (buy back) and you buy a new one. But they said something along the lines of It's not a big enough problem for them to buy it back at this time even after all these problems.

We were able to get a full refund after fighting like hell. But like I said I should’ve listen to your review and I went with looks over quality. Ugh.

I'm not sure if you've seen all 3 of my videos on the Bosch fridge but it took me over a year of fighting like crazy to get them to take it back. And their stupid visits where they come once to diagnose the unit, and a second time to replace a part that turns out not to be the problem. They did that many many times. Then when I was filing the buy back they had to have the diagnostic report filed within 72 hours to Bosch. But the repair guy comes the first day and looks, the second day he leaves it in his office so they make the report and in most cases the office is backed up a day so they get it in at the 4th day and I have to reschedule the tech visit to make a new report. It was such a head ache. Never again with Bosch. Nothing. No appliances, no tools, not even a sticker with their name on it.
The location of the water dispenser alone would have been reason enough NOT to buy this. What were you thinking? I don't even want a refrigerator that doesn't have separate ice and water dispensers. I do not want to constantly be switching between ice and water.

20 service calls return it to the store. After 4 calls you should return it.

My 800 coating is rubbing off after 1 year. Had the doors replaced and now the freezer door is peeling. Anyone else?
Yes. Identical issue. Both veggie and freezer doors.

Why did they not offer a replacement unit?
