  • a honest 'in-home' review of the refrigerator. It's been over a year since I've had it and about 9 months since the major problem started that were not repairable and bothered us daily. before then, there were problems that seem to get fixed fairly quickly. but after a few months they returned and were not repairable. it took a lot of calling and emailing to get a resolution. which is a result of bad customer service. I wouldn't recommend Bosch to anyone nor will I ever buy another one of their products..

    i was going to buy this but avoiding it now, Thanks for you and you tube! the big companies can pull the wool over our eyes .

      I've had my LG for over 18 months and it's working perfectly. Not a single complaint about it. But then again, how can i complain after i went through a Bosch. Lol

      @@TheStrivering I had my Samsung for 2 1/2 years before it was irreparable. I meant there are no refrigerators that last 20+ years anymore. My mother still has her avocado green Amana and a whirlpool that are at least 35 years old

      I heard the only good brands out there is: Frigidaire and LG.. DONE!
      Even the fancy expensive ones like Subzero, JennAir and Dacor are all JUNK!

    Thank you for your review.. I have the same model we bought in Feb 2021. It leaks on our hard wood floor, water and ice have been turned off since early August. We are currently in a claim with Bosch Customer Service. The technicians say it is customer error that the fridge produces too much condensation. Its infuriating and we will continue to fight to get out of our house and refunded.

    How did you convince them to buy it back?

      It was a lot of hard work. They had to come out and do multiple repairs, diagnosis, and when nothing could be done, the repair company had to "deem the device unrepairable" and after that I could request a buy back from Bosch. But it has to be submitted within 3 days of the technician deeming it unrepairable.

    They could not manage to fix it after such a long time? That's really sad to hear. Cause obviously the freezer compartment was defect/too warm, since the temperature alarm is activated the whole time, resulting in clumped ice and melting food. The VitaFresh compartment also doesn't seem to worked correctly. Oh well... too late i guess.

      Counter depth, which I have to have. It was between the Bosch and a $3200 GE. The bosch was able to be delivered sooner, so i got that one. I'm already regretting it.

      They're not the only company. My samsung cooling system failed after 2 1/2 years. It took 2 months and 2 techs to reveal it can't be fixed. They didn't want the fridge back either. They just gave me a partial refund. I paid $3000 for it and received $2250 back from them. I just purchased this fridge for $3500 because there are literally no refrigerators in stock anytime soon that are counter depth, which i have to have. So i purchased this one and I'm already regretting it.

      @@knothead35 Very similar situation with my Kitchenaid. I purchased a new side-by-side in 2018 for $3199.00 and after 9 months the freezer stopped working. The fridge was still covered by the manufacturers 1-year warranty so Kitchenaid sent out a tech to investigate and he told me the fridge had no freon, which meant there was a leak somewhere. He topped up my freon and installed a dye drain, but when he returned the next day to check the drain pan it was clean. He told me this meant either the leak was internal OR the manufacturer delivered my new fridge with very little freon. Of course, the freezer was working at this point because he topped up the freon so he didn't file a report for a replacement. Fast forward 3 years and the exact same thing happened again. A tech came out and immediately told me the leak was internal and the fridge couldn't be fixed. He said the fridge should have been returned in 2018, which meant I would have received a full refund under the Manufacturers 1-year warranty. However, due to the length of time that had lapsed I only received a partial refund of $1400, which wasn't even enough to buy a new fridge. Despite having a copy of the tech's invoice from 2018 citing the fridge had a leak, Kitchenaid refused to acknowledge any responsibility.

    Argh... I ordered this at Best Buy but it isn’t getting delivered for a few weeks. This is making me want to cancel the order.
    What fridge did you end up replacing it with?
