6 eggs (room temperature) 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup sugar Cocoa powder Lady fingers (about 30) 3 cups coffee 2 8oz tubs mascarpone cheese 1. Make coffee and cool in a container to dip the lady fingers in later. 2. Separate whites and yolks into 2 bowls. 3. Mix the mascarpone, 1/2 cup, and 1/8 cup sugar into the egg yolks until creamy. 4. Beat egg whites on low/medium setting with remaining sugar until stiff peaks form. 5. Fold the mascarpone mixture gently into the egg white mixture until combined. 6. Put a thin layer of the cream on the bottom of a 9x13 pan. 7. Dip lady fingers in the cooled coffee and lay a single layer into the pan. This may take about 15. Only dip one side of the lady finger and take out quickly! 8. Use a spoon to spoon a small amount of coffee over each lady finger. 9. Spread a layer of cream then repeat another layer of lady fingers. 10. Add your last layer of cream on top, then sprinkle top with cocoa powder. 11. Cover and chill in the fridge for 24 hours then serve.
Your marriage is going to last forever…you guys laugh a lot, that’s a great sign! I’ve been married to an American boy, I’m Italian, and his sense of humor had me laughing a lot! We’ve been married 40 years! He still corrects my English! Love you guys…that tiramisu looks delicious!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Please more traditional Italian recipes! My family has been LOVING them. Love how they are what alessio actually had, not a fancy chef made up that no one actually eats there. 🥰🥰
When combining the yolk/cheese mixture with the Italian meringue you should add a bit of the meringue to the yolk/cheese mixture first to temper the yolk/cheese portion. It will then fold into the rest of the meringue much easier. This is a classic technique when making a soufflé. A little Marsala wine in the coffee would add a bit of extra richness. Use a better cocoa powder than Hershey's. Droste and Valrhona are excellent brands. Don't cover it with aluminum foil, use plastic film instead.
You two remind me so much of my husband and I. He is of Italian descent but was born and raised in Argentina. He is my or “mi amorcito”. We also recently moved to Tennessee and are discovering Southern food. He is not a fan so far because he thinks everything is fried. He does love biscuits and banana pudding, though.
OMG you lovely people are fun, hilarious and inspirational to say the least. I worked with a Sicillian family back when I was 16. They taught me much about the Italian food but not Tiramisu. I got to taste it for the first time in Rome back in 2015 and I fell in love 💚🤍❤ We love the way you have fun with each others cultures, very much like we were being English and Canadian. Keep up the humour and smiles 😃 you are awesome both of you xxx
Can’t wait to try this authentic recipe. This is one of the first things my husband and I made together while we were dating. 13 years later, he just mentioned to me the other day “ Hey, we need to make Tiramisu again!”
Thank you for sharing your recipe! My husband is from Veneto region and I made this for his birthday. I followed along with your video. It turned out amazing. He said it was a really great tiramisu and even called his mom to show it off-who also approved 😂
I'm no stranger to making tiramisu but no recipe has EVER turned out as well as this one!! I made a few minor changes: I didn't have espresso so I just used strong coffee but it's just not the same using coffee instead of espresso - I'll have to invest in a Mokapot for next time to get the full, deep flavor espresso gives. Also I got nervous the sugar remained granulated and didn't dissolve, but after whipping in the mascarpone it dissolved just fine. Otherwise this turned out great! Even my parents who are harsh tiramisu critics were impressed. Thank you for sharing such an amazing recipe!!
This video is a Godsend, I’m making tiramisu for my mom’s 60th birthday and was struggling to find a good recipe online. Thank you so much for uploading!
My mother always made a lemon cream for her cannoli. Of course I never paid attention to what she was doing. I know it involved peeling the lemon in one spiral and submerging it into the pastry cream. She never wrote the recipe down. I would say she learned it from her Sicilian mother. I'd love to see at least a good pastry cream recipe if not the lemon pastry cream. I am so glad that I found this channel.
You to are adorable. I love watching your channel, you lift my spirits and always put a smile on my face. You're good medicine for people like me that suffer with depression. You're good UA-cam therapy....
Thank you very much for sharing your recipe ❤❤❤ I made it yesterday and the Tiramisu is so fantastic. We enjoy it today 🥰🥰🥰 thank you very much. Delicious
Just came back on here to say I’ve made this and everyone loved it! I received so many compliments, a couple of them even being, “the best tiramisu I’ve ever had”. So THANK YOU for this ❤️
Love this❤ love how you two cook together. I have a question. Do you make three separate espresso coffees or do you just use the one espresso, coffee and refill it with water?
So happy with this! I always come back to the video even though I’ve made this recipe a few times. I’m Brazilian and I’ve been living in the US for 20 years. My nona was from Treviso and I thought it was really cool for Alessio to say tiramisu was original from there. Best tiramisu recipe!
Thank you so much for this recipe / tutorial. I used your recipe tonight for my moms birthday as Tiramisu is her absolute favorite dessert. It was a hit with the entire family!! We’ll definitely continue using this recipe. It’s fantastic! ☺️
Thank you for sharing!! I made the “cream” version last year, thinking that was the right way, but it was much too rich for me. This seems much lighter! We are visiting Rome in September, so I am determined to make YOUR tiramisu before we go so I know the right “standard” to compare to when we taste it in Rome! Thank you so much! :) do you think you could have gotten away with just 2 cups of coffee instead of 3, since you had a lot leftover?
Absolutely my favorite Italian dessert, and one of my top favorite of all cuisines! Thank you SO much for sharing this! I'll have to make it soon from your recipe! Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Pasini! 😘
Well this is ALMOST EXACTLY the way that I make it. The only difference is is that I make zabaglione with the egg yolks and I use a lot better cocoa. I’m going to try this recipe. It’s a lot quicker and easier because there’s no zabaglione to make that gets added to the egg whites. Looks so yummy.
Good video! I'm surprised original TM does not have heavy cream in the mixture. Don't use it in Italy for this recipe? Will give it a try. My family is from rural Naples. Can also add 1oz Kahlua liquor per cup to expresso. Probably not traditional.
Grazie for sharing, my sister makes a very good tiramissu. Definitely going to make using Brazilian coffee!!!!! Kidding…love Illy coffee to ;) Greetings from Brazil❣️
Thank you for sharing Alessio....I changed 2 things in his recipe.....1/2 cup sugar and dipped the cookies both sides in the coffee.....the result was the right taste but texture was too soggy....if you use Bonomi or Vincenzo cookies it will soak too much liquid....follow Alessio's steps in this case for better texture....
Thank you for posting this recipe! I've searched for tiramisu recipes in the past and ended up closing the browser once I started coming across recipes that called for cream cheese. I'm not Italian and even I know cream cheese in a tiramisu is appalling lol so thank you for this tried and true recipe!
Several Italian chefs add heavy cream to their Tiramisu. Gennaro Contaldo is one, and Gino D'Acampo is another. D'Acampo also adds ameretto liquor. I am partial to Jesse and Alessio's version, since it's the original recipe from Treviso and because it is absolutely delicious. This is the only recipe to use!!
This recipe is OMG so good. My husband and I think you two are the cutest couple. We are planning a trip to Italy soon and have been watching your videos to help give us ideas when we get there. Thank you and keep posting fun and entertaining content.
This is the tiramisu I make at home in Romania. When I go out and order tiramisu it's always with whipped cream which is good but not tiramisu. Congrats🎉
Thank you for sharing your homemade authentic recipe ❤🙏🏼 i know its not a cooking show but I'd love to see your camera show the face and follow your directions while you are speaking to see the technique with your making your dishes like tiramisu...
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe! I went on a walking food tour in Rome. One of the steps along the way was having tiramisu. Omg, so much better than the American version. No idea why we make it the way we do here. Authentic Italian tiramisu is 100% better! #squisito ~ Teresa
My bf knows I'm no cook. But I made this for him today and followed your recipe for pizza and am waiting to see how it all turns out tomorrow. 😘 Thank you for making this and for being so entertaining and showing us your personalities. Fingers crossed. 🤞
This looks SOOOO good!!! 👍🏻😋 I always thought that I needed to ad Masala, so I’m thrilled to find out, that I was wrong. 👍🏻💃 Can’t wait to serve this, and tell that it’s a true Italian recipe. 👍🏻🇮🇹 Thank you. 🙏🏻
It’s in the fridge now. 🤩 It was very easy, and looks delicious. 👍🏻 Now comes the hard part…. Keeping my husband away from the fridge for 24 hours!!!! 🫣😁

Love you guys…that tiramisu looks delicious!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve made this recipe several times following Alessio’s instructions and it’s perfect and everyone goes crazy for it. Thanks guys!
I was thrilled to find this, because restaurants here always have super soggy ladyfingers and something seems off. Can't wait to try it!
I love how you bring European culture to America. Your cooking videos are super amazing.
Thank you so much 😀 you are soooo nice
Please more traditional Italian recipes! My family has been LOVING them. Love how they are what alessio actually had, not a fancy chef made up that no one actually eats there. 🥰🥰

I made it! Following your instructions exactly as you showed. It’s perfect! Amazing!! Thank you, guys!!!
I love watching you guys! My hubby is also Italian. I enjoy watching couples that have this situation. By far, you guys are my fav!

Amazing recipe, I've made it a handful of times. I've reduce the amount of sugar to my taste. Thanks for sharing!
My wife and I took a cooking class in Firenze last week. It was so much fun and we made Tiramisu!
Beautiful explanation! Thank you both so much for sharing the recipe 🤌🏽🧡🤌🏽🧡
Our pleasure!
Tried. It was really great. Thank you for the tips, like nit putting to much coffe into the lady fingers.
I love that you are not controversial, but entertaining, and best of all you look like you're having a good time.
Purchased my first Moka and made this yesterday and I’m on hour 17 of waiting. Can’t wait and love you two!

Wow that looked super fluffy cutting into it!!

Thanks for sharing guys! I'm going to try making this. I've never tried this before but it looks delicious!
Hope you enjoy
You two are awesome! Your videos are so positive.
Thank you so much!
I always use a touch of rum, or Ameretto to the espresso.
It adds depth, and flavor.
That looks delicious ! Not stiff at all, so creamy ! I might put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top; really good quality ice cream.
Thank you for sharing!! I made the “cream” version last year, thinking that was the right way, but it was much too rich for me. This seems much lighter!
I think that's the same thing I do too but I've always written as saubayon...cook the eggs over boiling water???? Otherwise my recipe is the same too.
zabaglione is the way it's spelled in Italian.
Hes a very good presenter/explainer :o. Informative and without the fluff and comedic too. Enjoyed this vid a lot !
Thank You for sharing this 'authentic ' tiramisu. My family is from Enna, Sicily, and never made this?! I love seeing how it 'should' be made.
Definitely going to try, so much easier than those recipes around the internet
i have made this a few times and it is AMAZING
They both are adorable

Thank you! Where can I get your coffee pot? I think you might like
DROSTE Cocoa powder or Girardelli Cocoa powder. No matter it looks so delicious.
This recipe is OMG so good. My husband and I think you two are the cutest couple. We are planning a trip to Italy soon and have been watching your videos to help give us ideas when we get there. Thank you and keep posting fun and entertaining content.
Is chocolate powder sweet or unsweetened? What kind of cookies are you using? Do you ever use espresso powder or beans?
Thank you for making this, I want one now. I'll let you know. You're the best 😍
