I've been an avid listener of nothing but djent for the last decade, and this is one of the coolest and heaviest songs I have ever heard - I think you actually upgraded the original. Listening to this song for the first time was such a special experience - thank you so much. Will keep this one in my favorite songmix forever. Such a shame that Meshuggah doesn't release instrumentals of their songs, I am low-key hoping they release instrumental stuff once/after they retire, like the way they upgraded their past music for live performances is way too unfair to us.
Definitely a big fan of this cover . I love the tone in this even more than the chaosphere cover although love how chaosphere cover of yours is so unique from album version . Hell yeah and cheers from WA
The snare was really my only issue with the mix. Too much sustain for my liking. I always loved the staccato crack in the original version. This is very excellent as a whole, though.
FWIW I like this version better than the original. Matter of taste, sure, but my tastes align better with this interpretation. Can’t have negative comments crowd out all the positive things one can say about this instrumental!

The way you changed 5:20 is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear, they don't do that shit in the original!! Hell yeah thank you
I’ll say it on this video too. Screw these haters and Meshuggah elitists. This is freakin awesome man.
A masterpiece! Thanks for the blast-beats at 7:09. Perfect!
the great perfection ;)

Andrew, this is a really cool reimagining while paying homage to the untouchable original! Enjoying this a lot, awesome job man💪💪
Meshuggah needs to release an instrumental album.
MESHUGGAH is and always be a point of reference.
that B A S S tone is so fricking thick and awesome!!
Definitely a big fan of this cover .

2:48

What gauges do you use for the guitars and what pickups?
Low E is 72 / Bare knuckle Ragnarok pups
I'd actually record vox for this version.
If I weren't working class I'd love to make add vocals, without just using my phone's camera 😅
While I am generally really not at all a fan of downtuning songs for the sake of "heavier", 2:49 blew my mind. That sounded absolutely sick.
sounds good except for snare tuning
snare is a little to floppy for my taste, not terrible though, a like from me.

not a fan of the guitar tone
Its the noisy bass for me. Too flat and too much gain
Haha, that's his music style. He changes up some sections as well. He does it in his interpretation.
@@adamland123452:50 This part is way heavier than the original because of the bass tone.
@@johannrajan6357 good for you

TOO MUCH BASS
Listen to the original. It lacked the bass. Honestly, don't mind the bass, it bangs if anything.
