Thanks for the kind words guys! Please subscribe if you dig.
Ola Englund I always like your thing but now i like it more even i am not a big fan of Death .B.C and valvestate? Whoa! ...By the way. ...the moment of clarity solo by Shawn Hamm is killing me. And a idea for cover. How about Incarnated solvent abuse? Thanks Ola.
Great cover Ola. I have a question. My son is a 10 year old drummer that wants to start a UA-cam channel to keep track of his progression as a drummer. Do you need a sync or cover license from publishers to be able to play along with music? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Ola Englund add vocal tracks please :p awesome cover
Any chance of a Lack of Comprehension or Zombie Ritual cover next?
Yes!!! :)
THERE WILL BE ZEROOO...
NECK PICKUPS
Someone give these men a fucking medal
HAHAHAHAHA DUUUUUDE
Zer00000
No need for a neck pick up in metal 🤘🏽😈🤘🏽
@@BMFlame9393 eh.... some solos sound good on them. For Rhythm though yeah you don't really need it
The fact that Chuck wrote such a crazy melody like this that flows together perfectly kind of blows my mind by itself, but the fact that he can play it perfectly while singing a totally different melody is mind-boggling...
Sadly… “could” play
Musically, Chuck seemed more like a jazz musician than a metal musician. The way he incorporated playing difficult parts in a catchy format was kind of jazzy, similar to Dave Mustaine when he is at his best.
This just proves Shuldiner’s genius - Death songs without vocals are still so great to listen to and aren’t at all repetitive, unlike most death metal bands these days.
Holy shit i didn't even realize there were no vocals until i read this wtf
Next thing that proves he’s genius are videos from @Leonardo Lux named brilliance of Chuck Schuldiner. It‘s played without distortion and holy fuck it’s epic
@@tomas-skala When i was younger i only had a acoustic guitar, i used to play Death songs and sounded fucking good (at least for me) and was fun to play. Now i have eletric but when i am making a riff, i have a rule, if it's playable on acoustic and still heavy and fun to play, then it's a good riff
"these days" I swear death metal is MORE complicated now?
@@arthurb6882 Technical complexity certainly has advanced, but by itself doesn't make a song any better. You got to make it work for you, like Meshuggah did. There are a lot of bands that are far from bad - but they're also far from Death.
That part with the open strings sounds so magical
thats the single pickup all day
Pre-chorus.
This is a special song for my wife and I haha
I love your content man.You should cover a Death song too !
Mehdy Cornwallis Keith can't play leads.
fazeel You're wrong about that, trust me, I know. ;)
Damn right he is !

One pickup, one knob, solid state amp. We could all learn something from Chuck. Stop chasing tone just play the instrument. RIP chuck. Damn he was a great musician.
I don’t think the Valvestate is solid state.
The Darien Lux It only has one preamp tube rest is solid state.
Hence 'valvestate'. It's a hybrid.
Not like his symbolic and sound of perserverence tone was good, amiright
Or be like karl sanders and have no knobs
The public tends to use the phrase, "underrated guitarist" often. Most of the time the term doesn't apply to those. In Chuck's case, he is the very definition of a musician that truly made his mark in Metal Music. Long live his memory!!
Are you not the public? Lol
Sick cover, perfect tone.
Hey friend.
He really nailed Chuck's amp sound. Has that distinctive saturation that you can really hear on chords.
no
Chuck had one of the simplest set ups ever. Bc rich into Marshall no pedals no bullshit.
J S For Symbolic and The Sound of Perseverance is really just like that. And for the other albums just add a boss distortion and thats it.
Ola's playing is always so smooth.
Hes got that swedish metal touch many of us wish we had .
The drums in this are so insane, the power chords and dual guitars just so thick
The guitar! Perfectly wielded.
CIRCLE OF TONE. And the tone was spot on.
I think you mean THE AXE
Totally geeking out from seeing you comment on an Ola video 😍

One of the best death songs ever, this one and " the philosopher" haven't heard it in 15 years.... Thank you Ola. Chuck RIP
Chuck's sence of harmony is still amazing.
One of the best Death tunes ever made, RIP Chuck.
all the riffs from the start to the end are just masterpieces... rip chuck
Great work Ola!! I'm from Tampa and am fortunate to have met Chuck on many occasions. You've made him proud with your tributes...
What a gorgeous song. He had such depth as a composer and you play it so well.
Love the acoustic guitar part of this song, an absolute masterpiece rip chuck
fazeel ashraf in my memory this was a banjo part and not acoustic guitar .
Jules Daudé lol

You are wrong! It is either a "cobza" or a "balalaika"
Ive always wanted that guitar..
FuckGoogle+ BC rich needs to bring them back
Good luck...their brand is being ran into the ground.
Yeah, there was an attempt to revive it, but of course, bad business practice and shady characters fucked that up.
It's in the custom shop
@@aaroncarber1119
Point is, it used to be a production model, and not custom shop costly. A second run would indeed be appreciated.
I am 42 and never gave Death a listen until about 6 years ago. It is crazy a band this good could be under the radar for me for so long. Chuck was master craftsman and even used brutal scream vocals... even back when heavy metal frontmen were rated by how high they could push their operatic falsetto.
Perfect tone! Listened to Symbolic daily back in high school, and I just got flashback shivers 19 seconds in!
Spiritual Healing and I.T.P are my fav two from Death. What James Murphy and Andy LaRocque did on these releases are incredible!
Exceptional players all around, Chuck was a Legend!
How good is that Spiritual Healing opening riff 🤘🏾
Totally! Andy's solo on Trapped in a corner is incredible & James Murphy is a legend.
That B.C. Rich Chuck Schuldiner guitar!!! 🔥
MissAzul2 Well, a tribute to Chuck's guitar
It's his signature, yeah.

One of Chuck's actual Stealth guitars is up for sale on ebay right now. Just search ''Chuck Schuldiner’s B.C. Rich Stealth (Chuck Schuldiner Death) '' on ebay and there it is. Happy bidding!
Bc Rich stealth
not only you made a great cover, but you managed even to recreate almost identically Chuck's magic sound, by using his equipment also.
The simplicity, yet perfect copulation of riffs, makes this song a lot of fun to learn and play. Just as Chuck got us used to, so perhaps a tip for everyone playing guitar, when having riffers block, you can't go wrong if you wonder "What would Chuck do?"
Everything I can’t . Haha
One of my favorite guitarists covering one of my favorite songs from the man who inspired me to play. Perfect tone, flawless cover!
one of my favorite tracks of one of my favorite albums ever
Love the half live "Valve" t-shirt for Chuck's Valve Amp. Good stuff.
The tone is just perfect and Ola is making it look easy to play. Amazing cover!!
Fantastic playing!
About 2 days ago, I watched DEATH BY METAL and so I'm clicking on everything DEATH related. How can I miss a guy I've never met? But, getting to know Chuck more through the eyes of his family, friends, and bandmates was amazing and so, I guess I'm mourning a little bit just knowing he's not around anymore. Anyway, perfect playing & beautiful tone!
One of your best tones, Ola
You have no idea how much I appreciate this. Chuck was a massive influence, and your tone, rig, and playing here are just AWESOME.
One of my favourite Bands of all time, rest in peace and thanks for all your creations chuck! I fell in tears when i hear your writings!
The band that got me into death metal. I remember playing along to their albums for hours ! Playing and tone are fantastic as always Ola ! Keep it up ! :) only thing missing are Chuck's dearly missed vocals. One on my favorite growls with Åkerfeldt.

And the guitar is so beautiful 😍😍😍
So... Is that how it's done?
nah I'm not sure how it'w done but I'm trying my best.

This one's a good entry point for people looking to learn some Death. Not too challenging. Just gotta dig in and go.
2 points D'mauro 🤘
So clear. Tone, background instrumental, video cuts. Well done!
Perfect cover, Ola. Got the tone and playing just right. Chuck would be proud. The riffs off this album bring back all kinds of memories of the good 'ole days.
Dude, this is a phenomenal cover. You should definitely do more covers!!! I think you nailed the tone and the playing on this. Also, nice HL shirt!!!
The legendary and most respectable death metal band in existence! Amazing cover!
Great job Ola!!!! R.I.P. Chuck.
Perfectly done. Awesome Ola
I'm ashamed to say I've never actually sat down and listened to Death... that's a killer fuckin' song man.
Fuck yeah my favorite Death song. Rip Chuck \m/
Absolutely flawless. .
So much fun to play this song, one of my favorites for sure!
You are an outstanding guitarist, you play so natural, I aspire to be as good as you one day. Keep up the good job!
Lol, I cannot play for shit. xD
1000 likes. Thanks 4 this cover Ola, great masterpiece of Chuck. Awesome guitar. I have the Valvestate combo too, but the VS 265, and... and sounds really good; this is the demonstration.
LIVING IN A FUTURE OF 1000 LIKES!!!!!!!!!!!
Greg Lynn yeaaah! Right. Maybe our good old Ola will play 1000 Eyes, one day. I hope.
VS100 is actually a different amp to what chuck used chuck used the made in England valvestate 100V head also known as the 8100 never the less VS100 sounded pretty good for the death tone
One of my favorite Death songs. Played by Ola makes it awesome. Ola, love your channel bro. Best metal guitar channel on YT imo.
Playing this song myself makes me appreciate how good this cover is, so many little phrasing things he does differently
Yyyyeeeeessssss!!!! I love this song to death! And - finally - this is the best cover of Crystal Mountain out there. Thank you!
Looks like easy to play ) great cover
The guitar is so great i remember the very first time i heard this song on the radio i was blown away Chuck was a genius
Still glorious over a year later...
Damn, loved this!!! All I need is the guitar to complete this setup XD
I know theres alot of metal.bands out there that are just plain awesome...but DEATH has always been my personal fav. Thanks for doing it justice. Anything off of spiritual healing would be a great listen. 🤘🏼
The best cover of this song ever! I'm amazed by it Ola....Thank you!
Ola I listen to this almost every day!
More cover on death voice of the soul please man would be the shit!!!
Omg omg omg I liked before I even watched! Yesssssss!!!!!!
Tone sounds great, dude! Rip Chuck! You're gone but your music sure isn't!
That was amazing Ola! Love Death! - You totally did justice to this cover!
Easily the cleanest cover on UA-cam, it’s right on . Thanks for this Ola, keep it up man.
Imagine if BC Rich Releases the Stealth again...
lVEZ0Kk people would start willingly buy bc riches again
Jake Douglas I would love to grab a Bc rich hardtail with ebony fretboard any model really mainly Mockingbird or Stealth
lVEZ0Kk they need to do like a classic range or something. ‘79 mockingbirds in mahogany and ‘93 stealths. Sell like hot cakes
Jake Douglas That's all they need to do to get back into the competition, reissue of old models,my teacher had a 83 stealth,i played it and my jaw dropped...One of the best instruments I've hold,it was a custom shop one, but still a neck through stock stealth will be 3/4 as good
lVEZ0Kk yeah it’s pretty bare essentials but absolutely perfect for any high gain, anything.
if chuck was alive, many would still choose 6 string over 7. i think
thara lalnun Ibanez released the seven string way before Chuck died so yeah he did choose 6 over 7
And 24 3/4 scale lenth instead of 25.5
1analyst 25 is better for downtune tho
@@teamatfort444 that actually doesn't matter because you can buy bigger strings
@@teamatfort444 tell that to every Doom.guitarist ever.
Great job sir. Chuck was a genius and you brought his hands for us all to watch. He is a legend and always has a place in my heart since i was 13 yrs old

Ola I love you (that half life t shirt is DOPE)

The main riff reminds me the intro of C.O.B. "Downfall", even if this one is slower
This is the first song I've learned to sing while playing guitar! Thanks for the amazing cover Ola
Fantastic job with this Ola..Love it!!!!
I fucking love Death, and this masterpiece is absolutely awesome! Also I love BC Rich Guitars, so this video is a great surprise for me hahaha. When will it come the "Solar Stealth"? Hahaha

Ola this cover is so awesome and really pays tribute to Chuck great job man
Such a simple setup and great tones. Chuck was the man
I thought Chuck used a Marshall 8100. I thought the VS100 was a different model
completely right, this is the VS100 which came later. Some argue that it sounds the same, some that it sounds completely different, I don't give a shit :D
They sound different but fair enough lol
I just learned that Death was the first band to regularly use screaming vocals.

I went OOOOFFFF at that first chord, the crisp, the crunch 😲😲😲
Man! I played this song in my very first gig. You took me back in time.
Great cover! You Rock!
I don’t know how Chuck was able to sing while doing this lol.
That's probably because of his exceptional coordination. But most importantly, the talent!
This song is actually way easier to sing and play than what most people think, go check a necrophagist, dying fetus and other technical death metal frontmen for reference
This is actually a fairly easy song to "sing" to, the riffs has a lot of vocal cues. A lot of times, the hardest riffs to sing to are not necessarily the hardest to play.
Kurt Cobain saying hello hello while playing 2 notes is harder than playing this while singing. It has a lot of good cues for vocals. It just adds to how great death are
awesome!!! go painkiller maybe?)))
Whaouuu, great music. I love it.
Sounds just like it amazing job
