    Can I ask you, what is the best way to get great endurance? I'm playing year and half. My goal are tempos about 200. Now I can play around 1-2 minutes at 160. It is going really slow, so I want to hear your story with double bass, but mainly how you developed endurance. Great lesson! Definitely continue with it!

      Endurance takes time to develop. You need to have intent and a plan to build it efficiently. If you're looking to build endurance you need to build control too. Grab my free double bass mini course. These exercises will get you on the right foot: academy.cameronfleury.com

    So this looks like it’s left foot lead? Is that cause that’s how you normally play? And if right foot lead, just swap all these? Or even if I play right foot lead, still practice these excersizes with left foot lead, correct?

    So a question for the more experienced drummers, do you find your energy coming from your shin and ankle movement, or from your upper thigh?

    • @CameronFleury
      @CameronFleury  9 місяців тому

      More calve muscles than anything else.

      @CameronFleury I hope I'm doing the ankle technique right. It feels like I'm using more of my shin muscles than calves. The front part of my shins have gotten jacked since I started playing the past couple months.

      @@justaguyandhissilver4893 Definitely shouldn't be using your shin muscles.

      @CameronFleury I think I may need to go a little tighter on the spring tension. When I'm playing fast and pushing the peddle down with my calves, my shin muscles are bringing my foot up. I'm definitely using calves to push, but feel like 8m overworking my shins when raising the toe end of my foot. I'm also using minimal thigh moment. All calves. I'm starting to think my shin muscles are just playing catch up cuz I've never used ny feet in this way. Atleast my shins aren't sore anymore. The first couple weeks exploring double bass had my shin muscles beat to crap.
