I've had a goatee for 20+ years and now a beard. I use a homemade edge guide (similar to yours from another video-7" radius) and it's just right for my face. I use a Brio Beardscape for edging, then use 3 guards for fading ears to chin. From watching this video I decided to take care of the stubborn hair that escapes the initial trim (with guards) and use a carefully supported free-hand at the end. I have an old Norelco trimmer that I use to go straight into my mustache instead from the sides. I find that if I go from side to side the trimmer will push the mustache to the side and thus it is not perfect. I use a Braun razor to clean up my neck, cheeks, and nose area. My skin has never been able to handle a dry shave with a blade. You have a skilled hand. Thanks for the tips. Nice looking beard.
It's a pleasure watching a pro do something they are good at, no matter what it is. I never thought to turn the trimmer sideways to do the mustache, haha. Thanks George.
Looking good, George. Glad you’re writing books, I now have a reference guide of skills you’ve taught about grooming, spirits, tobacco & relationships 🙂👍🏻🇺🇸
Excellent video! I’ve learned a ton from you over the last two years which has given me the confidence to be able trim my own beard. Keep up the great work!
Splendid tutorial, George! A comment and a question: When you freehand your own beard, it looks that the clipper blades are barely touching the beard. Is free handing with long strokes the secret to a well-sculpted beard? I assume by free handing the beard with the blades a little away result in a very uniformed trimming because it removes all the flyways and shapes the beard. Keep up the extraordinary job.
George! You are one well spoken classy beardsman my friend! I follow MANY of your tips! Keep them coming! AWSOME info George! Rock that beard brother!👊👊
Thank you George this was a very very helpful video also just got my first Savinelli I opted for the 623 Roma rustic. I'm not normally a imported type of guy usually Cobbs but this is something special thanks again
I'm thanking of growing a longer beard, but I'm affraid I just don't know how to trim neck line, specifically, I don't know what ratio would be between that lowest part of neckline and that of a chin area. The same? Thanks in advance.
hello Mr Bruno. I am a bearded man who lives in NW Montana and I am unable to find anyone who has experience with beards in my area. mostly they specialize in ladies hair styles around here it seems. I am in serious need of a professionals help with my beard. is there perhaps anyone you could recommend near me?? PS: thank you for your beard tip videos on youtube they are a huge help.
Dovo?? No more CJB? Personally Brotha, I have to say your best beard was when you made the video for the ultimate hot towel shave while you were at PBS!!
What people don't realise about Beards/Facial Hair (Men & Women) is that Facial Hair is like the Male alternative to Make-Up. Let's not bullshit ourselves (sorry to any Feminists reading) but Make-Up does wonders for the majority of Women, Make-Up can turn a Women who is a 5 out of 10 into an 8, add in an Instagram Filter and the correct lighting (then she could end up being a 10), but Photo Apps and lighting doesn't work when your out in Public (well, maybe a nightclub). An as a Man, I've had different types of Beards over the years, Beards can do wonders if your a Man, so if you don't have a strong jawline, or one that most Women deem attractive, then the correct beard can literally re-shape your whole face (as Facial hair is apart of your Face), My Dad used to have one hell of a bad turkey neck, but when he grew out his beard out, you'd never knew he had one. An the most important thing about a Beard, is learning how to trim it, because just like a bad haircut, you can go from looking handsome, to looking like crap.
Hey G! Thanks for the great video. Brother I really want to see a medium length this coming winter. I think it’s gonna be boss, you’ve lost weight, and toned up. I bet it would be an awesome look, with your damned straight hair.

This is the perfect beard length for me and very natural looking. Thanks for sharing!
Your beard shape is amazing in this video! I thought you said in a past video to comb the hair back on short beards? To comb down with a longer beard?
OMG you were so right !!
You do have a steady hands !!!
It's a pleasure watching a pro do something they are good at, no matter what it is. I never thought to turn the trimmer sideways to do the mustache, haha. Thanks George.
Thanks for the lesson! My beard is at the stage of 4 different natural colors at once, brown, gray, auburn, and blonde. Be glad when it all turns white!
This was a beautiful video. Your voice and the environment is very relaxing. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Looking good, George. Glad you’re writing books, I now have a reference guide of skills you’ve taught about grooming, spirits, tobacco & relationships 🙂👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks for the tip on stretching the skin near the Adam’s apples. That area has always been a problem area when I’m shaving.
I have a full beard apart from my left side burn it looks like I have slipped with the trimmers
Great tips,
Another great video. All them are fantastic. Just trimmed my beard again. Mine is about same length as yours. Amazing video George. 👍🏻👍🏻
Looking foward for this beard of mine to be full white.
Excellent video! I’ve learned a ton from you over the last two years which has given me the confidence to be able trim my own beard. Keep up the great work!

Very calming; I also like the trees in the background. What type of trees are they? It looks like a trembling aspen.

Is this done with or without products in your beard? I want to trim mine up, but unsure if just a clean beard or styled then shape it.
Awesome videos, I have picked up so much from them so far
How many months of growth is that?
