This is hands-down the best uke stringing tutorial on UA-cam. I've been playing for over a year now and this is how I learned to string my very first ukulele. I always recommend this vid to friends who are just starting out. THANKS SO MUCH CORDOBA! 💛
Thanks for the enlarged portion. VERY helpful. I wish you had done an enlarged version of how to secure the string around the tuning peg. No one that I've seen has addressed this clearly.
i tried so many tutorials, but this is the only one that found a good solution to show how the strings are attached (with a rope, its wonderful and you can see well)
Thank You so much for this. I no longer fear changing the strings on my ukulele, and as EVERYTHING you read tells you the first thing to do with a less expensive Ukulele is upgrade the strings, this is a massive help.
Wow! As several have pointed out, this is indeed the best demonstration of what can be a frustrating task for beginning Ukulele players. Greatly appreciated how easy your steps are to follow. And that large wood block in the latter part! That really, really helped show in detail what needs to be performed. Thanks so much!
Thanks very much for this string-change tutorial. The oversize mock-up made it easy to learn the proper technique for securing the bottom end of the string to the bridge. As other commenters have mentioned, this is the critical step that is often obscured by the installer's hands in other similar videos. I just changed the strings on my uke myself, for the first time, and it went off without a hitch (though it did take me 55 minutes, start to finish). The uke community is much obliged.
As a first time string changer, these instructions were spot on. I was surprised at how much they stretch the first time and had to unwind one and pull a little more through the peg so I didn't over run the peg.
Thank you for the video. It's short, clear and right to the point. The additional demonstration on the larger block of wood was very thoughtful. Very helpful!
Thank you very easy guidelines, on tying at the bridge, winding clockwise or counter & cutting the stings so no buzzing. Better than other tutorials I watched.
Just for the record, there is a knoting technique to use at tuning pegs, which is way better in my opinion in a sense that the instrument holds tuning better. The thing is to minimize the possible slip of the string from/onto tuning peg, as the string contracts and expands or tension caused by playing is applied. So the less of the string is wrapped around the peg, the better. This is best done (at least imo) by pulling the string through tuning peg, and then, after the hole, wrapping 180 degrees around the peg, and then wrap under the string, so that as you start applying tension to it, it is held there. I use it on guitars (classical, acoustic, electric) and it works perfectly (and also saves time!), but haven't tried on ukulele, as I simply don't own one... yet. :)
thank you so fucking much oh my god all the other youtube tutorials were poor quality and this seriously saved me from a fucking mental breakdown at my computer screen THANK YOU LOL
This was my first time changing strings on a Ukulele, and I was worried about the knot on the end. This video made easy work of it and I am pleased with the result!
just wanted to concur with all the others. This is the best video on how to string a uke and get the knots perfectly. I even made a 3D version for myself out of a piece of wood and a rope. Thanks.
Oh goodness thank you...I bought a Cordoba ukulele about a year ago actually, and the intonation's always been off, I'm assuming because the strings were nicked at the bottom. Now I can finally fix it! Thank you!
I think what made this video the most useful was the enlarged version of tying the string. My only critique on that would be that they used a white rope with a white background. Still, I've more confidence to do this now. (I bought a used ukulele at a second hand store for my daughter. Needes string and bridges - I think they're called bridges - and now I'm ready to tackle the task.)
Wow! Thank you so much. I recently got a new ukulele, and while i was playing i popped a string. I watched a bunch of youtube videos that didn't work, but then i came across this video that helped me put back the strings on my ukulele. I'm so happy. :) \
This was very helpful. When you did the enlarged version the only thing that would have been better is if the white rope was on a darker background. White on white made things a little less easy to see. Thank you for this video though! 🌟
Excellent video thank you so much for teaching me. It was easier than I thought. As simple as that was I had no clue on how to do it. And I just broke the string, so that’s why I came here, and now you know the rest of the story
Wow - loved the oversize bridge demo - really helpful - but the peg winding - really no need to leave any slack unless you want masses of coils on the string posts...
Lucie Rose Disagree - you need two or three winds - start with too much slack and you will end up with too many coils. Even with a couple of coils I have never had any come off.
THANK GOD finally someone who doesn't put their fingers right in front of the camera when tying the knot
Bruhh ikr
lol
So thankful
😂😂 Exactly!!
Thank you for making this tutorial. In 2 an a half minutes there's everything I needed to know to change strings on my ukulele. Brilliant.
This is hands-down the best uke stringing tutorial on UA-cam. I've been playing for over a year now and this is how I learned to string my very first ukulele. I always recommend this vid to friends who are just starting out. THANKS SO MUCH CORDOBA! 💛
otherworldly hey man i’m a beginner, should the G string of ukulele look thiner than the c strinf of ukulele?
THE LARGE VERSION --
VERY HELPFUL ! thank you!
That's what she said
+georgyorgy2 lol
+georgyorgy2 Yeah just not to you
The 2x4 version made it much easier to understand. Thank you.
Thanks for the enlarged portion. VERY helpful. I wish you had done an enlarged version of how to secure the string around the tuning peg. No one that I've seen has addressed this clearly.
i tried so many tutorials, but this is the only one that found a good solution to show how the strings are attached (with a rope, its wonderful and you can see well)
This is the best string tutorial I have found, way better than the others on UA-cam.
the enlarged view was great, although the white rope washes out a little against the background. Thanks!!
Your video makes perfect sense, AND your hands are not in the way LOL.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom and time.
Have a wonderful day.

Way nicer than the first one I saw. Especially because of the enlarged clear image plus detailed instructions
This is the BEST video on UA-cam and it is very clear how to change strings. Cordoba guitars put out a great instructional video

The best "how to video" I have ever seen! Very well done! Clear, concise and cogent.
I just bought new uke strings today, so pleased I found this simple video.
Thanks for the clear demonstration.
As a first time string changer, these instructions were spot on. I was surprised at how much they stretch the first time and had to unwind one and pull a little more through the peg so I didn't over run the peg.

Finally... directions I can follow! Thank you!
...must be from FloriDUH.
Thank you very easy guidelines, on tying at the bridge, winding clockwise or counter & cutting the stings so no buzzing. Better than other tutorials I watched.
The best Uke re stringing video. Broken down well into easy stages. Well done, much appreciated!

I know what you mean! This made it so clear.
totally agree........"here let me tie a knot with this string and have the camera 10 ft away and have my hands in the way so you cant see anything"
+Mike Burdette xD
This was my first time changing strings on a Ukulele, and I was worried about the knot on the end. This video made easy work of it and I am pleased with the result!

Oh goodness thank you...I bought a Cordoba ukulele about a year ago actually, and the intonation's always been off, I'm assuming because the strings were nicked at the bottom. Now I can finally fix it! Thank you!
Helped a lot, thank you for the bigger demonstration.
This was THE MOST helpful video I've ever seen
This was so helpful! Even when I thought the video couldn't possibly get any better, it did! Thank you!

Coral snake would have been cool.

Thank you for this short and very informative how to! I think I will do the change out tonight!
This was very helpful. When you did the enlarged version the only thing that would have been better is if the white rope was on a darker background. White on white made things a little less easy to see. Thank you for this video though! 🌟
Clear and concise explanation, thanks and well done.
Thank you very much. After watching this I have changed my strings for the first time.
That was beautiful - going the extra mile to show the enlarged version - very cool.

Thanks! I was here to just to see how to tie the strings after cleaning my ukulele. Great demo for beginners.
Excellent video much better than all the others!
First time I've ever restrung my uke, and thanks to this video it was a fluke. THANK YOU :)
That enlarged rope version helped me with my atrocious ability to see and understand how other people in other videos were telling me... thank you.
Excellent tutorial. Best on UA-cam.
Thank you! Most helpful one ive found on youtube.
Your voice is so beautiful lol thanks for the great tutorial :)
Hi Lawrence, have you tried Aquila Nylgut strings? All of our ukuleles come stock with those!
Super clear. Good explanation! Thank you!!
Thank you! Your instructions were very clear and helpful!
thank you for this video!! It makes it look so easy, I think I can do this now!!
The song in the back, anyone knows? Great video!
Very helpful! Thanks from a total newbie!
What song is on the background
Wow - loved the oversize bridge demo - really helpful - but the peg winding - really no need to leave any slack unless you want masses of coils on the string posts...
You should definitely leave some slack so the coils don't come off from there being only a few
Lucie Rose Disagree - you need two or three winds - start with too much slack and you will end up with too many coils. Even with a couple of coils I have never had any come off.
***** Well what do I know haha
That was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Thanks for the video. =)
Thanks so much for this video. It has greatly helped me. Oh, I just bought a Cordoba Ukulele.
Great tutorial!
Thank you a million! I'm painting my old sop Ukulele and I was super scared to change the strings

Brilliant and absolutely idiot-proof! Couldn't figure it out on my baritone uke. Many thanks.
