I've been watching your stuff for a little now not very long but this video was probably the most helpful video I have ever seen on UA-cam in such a long time. I play Warhammer 40K and I have a bunch of models that look great but I have no place to display them and this gives me the drive and desire to do so.
I'm glad this video was able to help you! I know a bit of 40k stuff (listened to some pieces of the novels and lore), awesome that you have the models! Good luck with your display - I'm sure it will look great!
nice shelves, and nice collection! There's something special about seeing a ton of manga lined up like that. also shoutouts to those grey camo pants, I have a pair of shorts in that pattern and I wear them all the time.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it! I agree and it makes it look so much nicer. And the camo pants are awesome and so comfortable. They were a Christmas gift from my husband this year.
At 0:53 I was mentioning that I was going to put some metal crates on the radiator because I didn't want to use wood since it would warp from the heat. The hand motion you're noticing is probably warp haha. I speak with my hands a lot :)
The shelf looks great! Watching the progress was low key stressful I know I would screw it up and end up with crooked shelves that only fit my books on one half lol
I have a Myfigurecollection account, but I'm super bad with updating it and making it look fancy. But if you want to reach out to me on there and let me know here (otherwise I rarely check it) I'll check those figures out :)
I think the next time I need display/shelving I’m gonna try DIY. While the glass display case I got from IKEA is alright the metal shelving I got for my gunpla boxes is total garbage: 300 bucks and it didn’t even have even screw holes and is crooked as hell.
I'm sorry to hear about metal shelving. Highly recommend DIY - you can control so much about it and it only gets as expensive as you want to make it. Good luck when you make yours ^.^
@@Konsuming_PlastiK Yeah I also ended up getting my dad to help me put it together, we agreed to call this a learning experience and do either Harbor Freight or a wood DIY when I'm ready for a replacement. At the very least it hasn't collapsed or anything yet lol.
I'm sure the shout out to your dad made him very happy! Using the books to measure, nothing wrong with that. You like to read actual books, so rare these days! You did it all by yourself, very impressed! Who cares if some things don't go right the first time, and i sure can't make fun of having to start over to do it in a different order. Lost count of how many times I've done that! But i hope you make one big change.. it's waaay too organized!! All the books in order is just temporary right? Soon there will be a book in the bathroom, another on the night stand, a few on the wrong shelves and stuff like that. Plus a few oddball books and things like a few of your knives, a book about crochet and a few empty candy wrappers. That's the only way it will actually look right LMAO 🤣😆
He deserves a shoutout, he didn't have to add those bits to hold up the shelves, but he cared about how this project turned out and was pretty happy I was attempting to make it on my own (it's my first big wood project). I love physical copies of anything and look at digital as a convenience, but unreliable - plus it can be taken away at any time - had a digital game taken away once and had a mp3 corrupted upon download, both times companies wouldn't help me, so now I pretty much only do physical and digital is just an extra copy if I even pick it up - same for books. Messing up is part of the process and now I'll know better for next time. Haha the point was to make it look more organized XP There are some books missing because they're downstairs where I usually read, but I like to read one series at a time and binge it vs just a book here or there, so hopefully I'll be able to keep it organized and only pull a few at a time ^.^
@@Konsuming_PlastiK I do kinda the same thing with music. Buy the CD, make a copy of it to use on the car or wherever, plus DL it to the computer. I got tired of buying the same CDs over and over. I could never keep my book shelves organized. I blame the kids and ex wives lol
@@pappytinkers I will admit my CD's aren't well organized at all, but I burn my own mix tapes and use those paper cases, so they just get stored in a CD box in no particular order. Always smart to make copies :) Glad someone to hear someone else doing that kind of stuff. The bookshelves for other books (not manga) is a total wreak from the kiddos so I get what you mean lol.
@@Konsuming_PlastiK lol the kids and spouse are always good to blame even when it's my fault! You really have to make copies of the CDs because the scratch so easy! They get scratched even in the players! They could easily put a scratch resistant coating on them but they want us to keep buying them. I was so mad when they tried making them so you couldn't even copy onto your own computer. I do a fair amount of wood working, so if you have questions for your next project, I might have some ideas for you.
Good job. Came out great!! 😀
Thank you so much!

That is a really awesome book shelf. On a side note that pony tail looks great on you.
Thank you so much!
9:12 Best part of the video! But I do want to know what you were saying to go with the hand movements at 0:53.

Thank you so much! I messed up plenty, but now I know for next time (if there is one). Just had to go for it and hope for the best ^.^
Are you on any platforms that show off figures and such? I have some I'd like you to see. These are some GUP figures in tanks.

Ok, I started a MyFigureCollection Page. Its' crap, but I can build on it. @@Konsuming_PlastiK

Dropping a comment to help the algorithm
Thank you I appreciate it :)

i think you buy the whole store of manga lmao 😂
Lol! Pretty much XD
GODBLESS.
Thank you! You too!
why you dont have tape measurement?
I do, but I need the visual of using the books. I did measure them for the mockup though.
