Thanks for sharing. Here in Alabama people were able to see the pinkish magenta color in the sky, however I was unable to see it due to the trees and the hilly geography where I live.
I loved the music you used with the video. Finally after 68 years I faintly saw the Aurora from NE Georgia, the 2 previous events were when I was further South. I did get come good images with my EOS Ra but don't know how to best process the Raw files.
Glad you got to see them. I am from the far north and saw them frequently. As spectacular as this last show was, it was much weaker than what I am used to. In the subarctic, you can walk around at night without a flashlight under the light of the aurora. I'm not sure what software you're using but there are some great RAW guides for Affinity on YT. In truth, I tend to skip the RAW persona and go straight into the standard editor because changes made in the persona cannot be undone.
I have a dumb question, since you are located in Canada the Northern Lights are a constant presence, how do they not affect your subs when photographing DSO?
Not a dumb question. But in Maritime Canada it's rare to get them as powerful as they were last night. They're a pain. I was imaging last night and lost half the subs due to the aurora.
Thanks for sharing. :)
Very nice!!!
Nice! We had a similar display in upstate NY. Great channel!
Brilliant show we had almost as good as the one back in May so really pleased to have seen in here in the UK
Beautiful😀
Nicely done. Apparently they were brighter here in Wisconsin. Got some nice still shots over a local lake.

Well, hopefully this video somewhat made up for it.

Thanks for the few minutes of wonder. Very soothing. Are those aircraft or satellites?
Thank you! Both satellites and aircraft appear in the image through the night.
Also, we could see them all the way down in Northeastern North Carolina last night.
It was a heck of a show. They filled the sky here.
