Honestly, I understand. I had to chop all my hair the beginning of this year because of bleach damage, I heat damaged my hair to my roots in July and I couldn’t be bothered to cut and began transitioning, and I’ve had a bald head just a few years ago. Even for someone who regularly cuts off all their hair, it’s different when you decide to cut it or because you’ve been forced too, especially in your case because you trusted in “professionals”
You are so brave. I had to cut for color damage. I didn’t hesitate because I was in that space. Yes it’s very different when you are forced to. This whole situation is very hard and sad. I so appreciate you taking the time to comment , it means a lot and your words are a source of encouragement.
Thank you for taking the time to share. I am happy you are trying things out for yourself and moving forward to taking care of your hair. I am cheering you on
I'm returning to the suave clarifying shampoo after I use my stash. I've pretty much reverted back to my OG products. I'm not a regular co-washer, but my preference is Oyin ginger mint. I do use AG when I need a deeper cleanse. I follow it with a moisturizing shampoo.
Yes that Suave is a great shampoo. I like the Oyin shampoo you mentioned. I do prefer Soultanical though. I have pretty much reverted back to using my old products and finding some new favorites.
Thankyou for all of your videos on this topic. I decided to finally examine some of my shed hairs today to see what state my hair is in. I have the same splits you showed in a previous video all along the strand. Im not sure if its through my whole head but Im nit as devastated as I thought I would be because I know there are others going through the same thing and you are doing the heavy lifting (along with some others) to find solutionz for the journey back to health. I also will not be cutting my hair short and would rather grow out the damage. But Im glad I have found it and now know what to look out for going forward. I hope anyone else in this situation can feel a little bit of positivity in the fact that there are people like you coming to the forefront to share new knowledge and resources to help push us all in the right direction to better hair care methods/ practices.
I am so proud of you for even looking, because obviously I am not a professional. I know it took some trust to even look. I am sorry you found evidence of damage. It’s very difficult to cut hair. It’s very emotional. I am happy us sharing our journey gave you peace of mind. It’s going to be a long journey but I will try to be transparent and share the good and the bad.
I just started using that Suave Essentials clarifying shampoo too. Love it! I use it every time I wash but I’m not a weekly hair washer. I have to get that build up off.
Thanks for sharing Rosie . I totally understand how you feel. I should probably cut my hair to a twa but right now I don’t have the mental capacity it for it if that makes sense . My hair wasn’t super long , medium taper and I am doing 3 cuts to get rid of the Velcro hair . I guess I’m still trying to process what everything that happened
I appreciate you saying that because it’s very difficult. Can you imagine cutting so much and you see a shed split ( tree)👀? I totally understand, do what you are comfortable to do, hair is so underrated in how important it is to women at times. My stylist has never seen a head of hair or my hair in this condition. She honestly cannot believe these stylists attended beauty school. She also has never heard of them 😁🙈. She really told me truth. So me finding that split I didn’t fly off the handle. I also am so traumatized to the point I collect all shed hair. I am so sorry you are going through this. I will share my recovery journey so hopefully it can help, because honestly the cuts alone don’t solve the problem. Deep conditioners will help with manageable but it cannot fix the damage. I wish you the best ❤️
Oyin Handmade and Curl Junkie make great cowashes, too. Oyin Handmade has sales multiple times per year and they have a liter size. You have some great products!
Yes I enjoy their cowash but I do love the Soultanical a little more . I have never tried curl junkie. I am normally a creature of habit but I normally try one new company each year.
@@rosieamelia5955 It took me a while to realize it last year… I never bought back. If it’s on sale yes but I could always use a shampoo with sulfate as a clarifier
I love the twist out!
Thank you 😊

Thank you Rosie 🥰💙.. really like this list .. I use to use Mizani when I had a perm and will definitely revisit this product 💙
You are so welcome! Yes there are so many options out here.
I just started using that Suave Essentials clarifying shampoo too. Love it! I use it every time I wash but I’m not a weekly hair washer. I have to get that build up off.
Yes it works. I have a few friends I share it with they tried it and they love it. Thank you for sharing ❤️

Try the clay washes from sarenzo beauty. They are half the price of the ckk ones and I like them more
I will have to try them next BF
Exactly! Knowledge is power! 💪🏾
🙌🏾 yes it surely is.
Thank you so much for this video. Helps because lord knows I need some new shampoo.
You are so welcome! 🤗
Oh good tip with curlsmith , i dont have slip with this as cowash
So when I leave it on for a few minutes detangle is nice. But definitely do what works for you. If it doesn’t work try something else that works.
@@rosieamelia5955 thank you i ll try to leave it a few minutes, i have the big bottle as you and i really dont want to throw it out 😅

Not surprised 🙈, we both will be in rehab 😂😂😂😂
@@rosieamelia5955 🤣😂🤣 why I have a cart full of stuff right now.
@SimplyTamz yes I believe 🤣🤣
You’re right the AG boost is more of clarifier than a all purpose
Yes at least on my hair.
