I think part of why you loved that cruise so much is because you’re both Canadian and it hit a lot of nostalgic notes. Not to minimize your experience at all, just saying I think it was the perfect cruise for you as a couple based on your preferences. That may or may not resonate with the masses, but, who cares at that point! So glad you had an amazing cruise! 😀
We felt the Volendam was near perfect. We continue to look for other itineraries with that ship or her sister the Zaandam. It checked som many boxes for us. We just recently did a near identical itinerary on another cruise line and it wasn’t the same experience as it was on HAL.
I had such a big smile on my face when I watched Mrs. Canuck enjoying all of the Anne locations... when you were walking through the movie set house and got to the kitchen, I instantly thought of the scene where Anne forgets to cover the pudding and the mouse fell in the pot... Now I want to watch the series again!! On the down side, I have to rewatch the video because I didn't see the letter, lol... oh darn! ;)
My husband and I watch secret letter videos together now, it's become our adult version of Where's Waldo haha. I will say this is the first one you have us completely stumped, going to watch for the 3rd time now. Love you guys!
OMG I watched this video 4 times since it came out. Today, I FINALLY found the letter. Awesome vlog series, sorry to see it end. Mr Canuck is so funny :)
Another great video, thank you! And what a good business decision for the Anne of Green Gables museum to have a Japanese origin tour guide, I heard her accent before I saw her quickly on your vlog. It's my understanding that Anne of Green Gables has a huge following in Japan and many tourists from there visit PEI. It does look like a great place to visit, I'm getting inspired with this Canada cruise!
The first cruise I took was on the Zaandam. I think I enjoyed more about being on the smaller ship than the bells and whistles larger ships offer. Glad people can pick their experience.
What a great time you had exploring PEI! You two are so cute... we loved the dance contest and if your "Canucklings" had been there to cheer for you, you surely would've won that bottle of champagne!
Excellent overview content of PEI. Now I know how the orange day party runs. My sister, dad and I are part of your vids. We were watching this as a family and we laughed. 😂 Absolutely a relaxed vacation.
Hope you make it back to PEI for a land-based trip. Try to come during shoulder season as July and August are very busy and crowded. There is a terrific seafood restaurant just down the road from Lucy Maud’s birthplace. It is next to a bridge by a beautiful harbour. If you are not fish fans, they have other dishes as well, but the fishing boats arrive next door, so everything is fresh!
Fun PEI vlog! Wow you guys packed a lot into your time on the island. So happy you were able to see so much. We Love PEI! You most definitely need to spend a week there, beautiful island with lovely, helpful people. This brought back so many great memories of our time on island. The Orange Party looked like a lot of fun-great dance moves! Cheers from London, Ontario.
Have spent many years of summer vacations in PEI! Love it there!! The Anne of Green Gables area where the house is has certainly seen a lot of significant changes over the years. At one time even it used to be all free of charge. We'd spend time there and then head over to Cavendish beach. So glad to see that you had pleasant weather for your island visit!!
Really enjoyed your day in PEI. Was inspired to try and book the musical when we are there in September, gutted to find there isn’t a performance when we are in port. Never mind I’m sure we will still have a great time. Amazed at your dance energy after your full on day!
We love your content, especially this most resent Vlog series. We also love the mid-sized and smaller Holland America ships. We will be in some of the same ports in the next few weeks (on HAL Zuiderdam), including Charlottetown. We will be taking a HAL tour to some of the Anne of Green Gables spots and are looking forward to it.
Good evening Jill and Jerry, I'm Lorraine, from Southampton England, I'm enjoying my new favourite cruise vloggers. My favourite ship is QM2 the only ship I've been on and on her in September, going to zebbruge, and I found your bruges stop and I'm hook watching more. princess Caribbean princess is calling on Southampton this summer season. Jill you must of been gutted after you went to Buckingham Palace and Windsor and about a month later The Queen had died. Happy Cruising. Jill are you a Heartland fan.
Hi Lorraine, Thanks for watching. We planned our trip to London almost a year prior to going. We had tickets to Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle almost immediately because seeing both was something that I wanted to do since I was a young girl. As we got closer to the date of our trip we were extremely concerned about Queen Elizabeth’s health from things we heard on the news. Her passing so soon after we visited just made us feel so privileged that we were able to visit and learn more about such an incredible woman!
Thank you for sharing! Anne was one of my favourite book heroines grown g up, loved seeing g the island. Watched many of your blogs and enjoy them but this was special
I love Anne of green gables. I would definitely visit there. Look at Mr. Canuck getting down on the floor. Oops I missed the letter, will have to watch it again. What does PEI stand for?
PEI is a beautiful place and you do need more than one day to take it all in. You have to go see the house where Stompin Tom Connors lived in Skinner's Pond. Go in the summer so you can enjoy Cavendish Beach. You had your groove on, awesome dancing. I love how you time stamp your vlogs and you say it as well. Sydney is a beautiful town. Did you do the Cabot Trail? Can't wait to see.
Jill, I love your dress! I've seen the Anne of Green Gables movies so many times I can probably quote it, so this is my kind of day! Also, a side note.. I'm glad your showing the vegetarian menu in the main dining menu. I'm not 100% vegetarian either but don't like to eat😢much meat.
My husband gets toast, slice of cheese bacon then a broken made to order fried egg and that's his breakfast sandwich. The first time he had it he wasn't feeling well so I went and did one for him and he was "DANG I never thought of that". Silly man lol
PEI is a great place. Beans and Sausage, that must be a British thing. Some acquaintances from the UK eat that quite a few times. Don't eat sausage. Neither would Dr. Ellingham. PEI is a great place. It is known as The Capital of the Confederacy. My wife went to the Green Gables house. You should walk around the city. Not far from the port is a Cows Creamery facility where they sell Cows Ice Cream. And some other products too. The first time I ever heard of Ann of Green Gables was from a Waylon Jennings song. Don't forget PEI fries. You didn't even have Cows Ice Cream. That is a nice port of call. If worst comes there is always the buffett. Holland America has good food. What kind of wine? Beyond Meat meatballs is good. Looks like a good meal. That cake looks good. My wife and I liked to walk through part of town then stop off at some of the shops. Sydney is a nice town. Been there twice. From where the ship docks you will have to walk up the hill. The Orange Party must be a Dutch event. I think Orange was the color of Holland. Not really a dancer. Used to do the Waltz back in my day. Any pastry with chocolate on it can't be that bad. Smaller ships are better.
Can you please tell me once we have all the letters and unscramble the word how do we enter the contest? This s y first time trying this and would like the information. Thank you.
Go to cruisingcanucks.ca once the final vlog comes out and there will be a link there to enter the contest. You will have to enter the secret word and location of each letter. Good luck.
When you showed the map I wondered if there are any east coast itineraries that have a port stop in France? You're going right past St Pierre&Miquelon. It would be an easy one to add.
I love Anne of Green Gables xx
We had such a fun day squeezing in as much Anne of Green Gables as possible!
I love PEI such a beautiful place
It truly is.❤️
Isn't our island beautiful...hope you enjoyed your visit...❤
It really is! We can’t wait till we return in the fall.
I was there about 40 years ago and saw all of Anne of Green Gables. We all loved it and PEI in general❤
Wow - about the same for me but really does not seem like that long ago 😂 Green Gables is still the same however
So did we. Beautiful!

It was a wonderful day. So happy to of been able to visit and see the musical!
LOVE Smaller ships just for things like this.
We so enjoyed it!
My husband and I watch secret letter videos together now, it's become our adult version of Where's Waldo haha. I will say this is the first one you have us completely stumped, going to watch for the 3rd time now. Love you guys!
Sorry to hear that it is been such a challenge. We promise it is there.
Hi, did you find the letter? I've looked 3 times now also, still can't find it.
omgg i want to go there so badly! i would love it if yall started putting the songs you use in the description, i always find them so pleasant!
Thanks for your suggestion.
Way to go on the dancing.
Thanks 💃🕺

Well said. There are many options for picking a cruise that best matches what one might want out of their vacation.
Good thing we bought our own luggage this year because after attempt #3 to find the secret letter, I am calling it a day!
Oh no 🙈
What a great time you had exploring PEI! You two are so cute... we loved the dance contest and if your "Canucklings" had been there to cheer for you, you surely would've won that bottle of champagne!
Next time!😊
Great segment! Wonderful to see y’all!!
Thanks so much!

My sister, dad and I are part of your vids. We were watching this as a family and we laughed. 😂 Absolutely a relaxed vacation.
Cool, thanks!
When you go back for your land based tour, take the ferry to The Magdalen Islands! It leaves from Souris PEI.
Thanks for the tip!
You were correct... never had to wait for an elevator and never more than 2 people in one
Love how readily available they were. In our experience the larger the ship the more difficult it is to get an elevator.
Another great video of another great day…don’t ever worry about your content being to long, it’s all entertaining & seems short!
Awesome thank you!
You guys are so much fun!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful vistas and an entertaining day. Good vlog with a different angle in this great city. No success with the letter even though I watched 3x.
Oh no. Sorry it is being such a challenge!

We say it when we drove by but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to stop. Hopefully next time!
Don't worry - I've spotted it! x
Oh good!😊

What a fun vlog!! So enjoyed the day in Charlottetown, and the Orange Party! You two have some neat moves on the dance floor!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Sounds great!
Your cruise is reminding me of my Eurodam cruise to Quebec from NYC. Thanks for the fond memories of Eastern Canada!
Our pleasure!
I see a second career for Jerry: Cruise ship dance instructor. Way to bustamove Jerry.
🤣

Lol, I think I got the secret word on this letter. 😁
Y'all look like you had a blast!
We did! Glad you found it.
Thank you for sharing! Anne was one of my favourite book heroines grown g up, loved seeing g the island. Watched many of your blogs and enjoy them but this was special
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a wonderful experience to see all the amazing things associated with Anne of Gables.
You guys killed it on the dance floor!! 🎉
🥰 Thanks
What a fantastic day! I read and watched!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The chicken satay is one of my HAL favourites. The other is the sweet and sour shrimp.
It was delicious. Wish I had some right now!🛳
Happy Blessed Sunday Jill and Jerry. Loved your latest video. What app are you using for the GPS on your Phone...Thank you
We use Waze when in a car and then google maps if we are on foot.
I love Anne of green gables. I would definitely visit there. Look at Mr. Canuck getting down on the floor. Oops I missed the letter, will have to watch it again. What does PEI stand for?
The province is called Prince Edward Island. It is simply beautiful.Loved all the Anne of Green Gables sights.
You guys were robbed in the dance contest 💃🕺🏼
But that rogue Wang Wang probably made losing feel better, or even forgotten😂😂😂😂
Exactly!🤣

I was hoping to see the dress with “puffed sleeves”. 😄
Next time!
Jerry should have put the hat and braids on too. And you could go as Raggedy Anne and Andy😊
Great Halloween costume idea!
Thank you. It is so nice to have the extra options that the vegetarian menu offers.
You guys are too cute😊
Awe! Thanks 😊
I have looked and looked - watched about 4 times now and still cannot find the hidden letter - somebody please help!! xx
My husband gets toast, slice of cheese bacon then a broken made to order fried egg and that's his breakfast sandwich. The first time he had it he wasn't feeling well so I went and did one for him and he was "DANG I never thought of that". Silly man lol
Great idea!
I am tired watching all you did in one day😅
It was a crazy busy day!
I have read all the books
Mrs.Canuck has also.
"Meatballs" was probably Dutch bitterballen!
Thanks
A Dutch specialty

Very nice but 2vlogs in a row, trouble finding letter. I also thought you had more applause! And should have won. Good vlog ❤❤
Thank you so much 😁Sorry the letter is being difficult to find. Good luck!
Still not finding 😢. You usually give a hint in the video. I'll eventually find iy
Can you please tell me once we have all the letters and unscramble the word how do we enter the contest? This s y first time trying this and would like the information. Thank you.
They'll post the form at the end
Then do we print the form out? I’m sorry I’m asking such a crazy question
We have found a few cruise itineraries that have it on select voyages.
Yes. I’m booked on a cruise to St.Pierre et Miquelon on this very same ship. In August.
Hi!
I really love Pei
How can you help me to find me an employer who wants to hire a foreign worker.
Thank you
No idea. The internet and/or employment Canada once you know how you can get approval to work legally in Canada.
Don't take her to a corn boil she will clean the cobs in a minute.
Lol 😆
Oh my goodness. You two are evil when it comes to placement of the letters.
Sorry that they are proving to be a challenge to find!
Im watching this one for the third time . Can not seem to find it on this one. No trouble on the first three.
