And exactly why I do not use any. I don't have time to fix all the stuff from all the various security breeches. Pay cash in a store and move on with my life.
This is just not true. For starters, most companies dont explicitly state, in their privacy policy, that they will harvest things like your government id number and "user-generated data", i.e. anything and everything you post online, on any site, via the device on which you use Temu. Their(Temu's) privacy policy also contains the broad category of "other data not specifically listed here", quite literally alowing them to harvest whatever data they want from your device with your agreement(i.e. legally). Other conpanies also give you the option to opt out of certain data collection. For instance, Amazon, Google and Microsoft all allow you to opt in/out of unnecessary data that would otherwise be used to improve the product or service. Sure, its a safe bet that a free app with no obvious monetization scheme is monetizing the users, but its not even close to "every app" thats doing what Temu is doing.
My brother received alert that someone was logging into his account for several other app and pc game as well, less than a week after downloading it and the same went for me as well, can't say it is definitely relate but if it is, it is not your average privacy theft if you ask me.
I have bought over 90 items from TEMU. I have had not one single bad experience and I do believe that the big stores are freaking out and they're doing their best to turn off people towards Temu. I have nothing but good to say about them and all of our American stores who are ripping us off because I have ordered stuff from temu for 1/3 of the price of what I can buy it in any store here and online at any of our suppliers and they talk about they have our privacy anybody on the internet has your privacy anybody knows how to use a computer as your privacy they're just freaked out because there is a large company that can sell every single product that is available and a much cheaper price and American and foreign investors are freaking out.
Exactly, anyone who uses Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, UA-cam, Google, Amazon (who can enter your house) or any other social media platform gave up their privacy years ago and Zuckerberg basically said people don't have a right to privacy. The sad part about it, consumers just accept it.
Y’all worried about Temu? Walmart sells their customers information online to trackers as soon as you click on the website even after opting out of this option. That should be a crime, and nobody’s aware of it either. My phone had to report the incident to me.
Less than a Month ago someone logged into my walmart account and used my paypal info to buy from their site, I had to cancel everything and report it to the fbi. It really pissed me off
@@perihelion7798 what's the ccp? Medias saying the issue is an identity theft issue. Which is normally ID fraud type issues. It's a scare tactic, bc I think what's really happening is already happening with the competition, Amazon and many other large apps.
They're not failing to mention the obvious. It's a psyop hitpiece and by design. American businesses have been profiting off illegal slave and child labor for decades. Theyre now angry because local middlemen in China are taking a (big) piece of that action, and are trying to scare you.
It looks like American online shopping companies are feeling the burn with all those American dollars going overseas. But what do they expect from the citizens when prices are jacked up so high. I haven't had any issues with them. I've purchased and send back a few items and was refunded as soon as that item was dropped off at UPS. I give no permission in my phone settings under most apps including Temu. Also everyone should have a freeze on their credit reports, to keep anybody from opening up credit under their name, especially after that big Equifax breach in 2017. So most people info is probably already on the black web.
I've compared prices, Amazon vs. Temu. The EXACT SAME PURSE in my Amazon cart for $50 I found on Temu for $15. Temu seems to be the wholesaler some of these Amazon shops, little boutiques, etc. buy from. American Hospitals, Banks, stores allow our information to be comprimised daily and offer free credit monitoring as a bandaid afterwards, so is the issue really that China offers us a way to beat inflation just a little by cutting out the middle man..and isn't most of what we buy, wherever we get it from, labled "made in China" anyway 🙄
I’ve ordered from TEMU several times and got everything I ordered and been satisfied. I had one time the item I ordered was not in stock when they went to ship it and they gave me a refund right then. No issues no problems. Identify theft can happen on any app as far as I’m concerned.
The big deal is that they are snooping on you. Getting all of your info....and probably selling it. Stay away from Chinese apps. They are using cheap good to suck you in. I realize Google and Facebook and Instagram are just as bad. I hate that so many people think it's not a big deal to give up your privacy.
They are selling the products at a loss to undercut American and British businesses. They are financially backed by the Chinese government to do this to damage western businesses. Buy from Temu and you are helping the CCP while they mine your personal data.
This is just Amazon pushing back. You can get the same products on either site, Amazon just charges you a middle man fee. Amazon also does everything they are warning you about on their app. They also tried claiming temu sells forced labor products well... so does Amazon.
The MATH is that American businesses can no longer profit from slave and child labor markups if we have direct delivery from the sweatshops wholesaler.
That is 900 complaints to the CHICAGO OFFICE of the Better Business Bureau only. How many other complaints are there out there to other agencies around the US? Do the math.
What the American public still doesn't understand is there is no privacy and they're trying to make out like it's other countries that are the threat no it's our country We are the most spied upon people in the world and you are not walking around talking using your phone or your TV or anything else without every single thing you say and do being recorded someplace Thank you Edward Snowden.
I use Temu often I don’t use the app on my phone and I don’t use social media so I’m not concerned with them collecting information that I don’t post anyway. The govt already knows everything about everyone anyway. If it saves me money I’m going to continue to use it.
I knew this would happen. They putting the big companies in danger of losing their business. They hate the competition! Why not just lower their prices to compete? They are over charging us anyway!!!!!
Your comment is the number 1 comment!!! They know they are over pricing and can't stand it that we've found a place to buy the things we need and even BETTER things at that.
Pay attention tho. What they’re saying is that they may be selling your data. The lower prices make sense because that way, they front the difference by extracting your data and selling it. When u agree to terms of service, u could be agreeing to the sale of your info.
Because stupid, supply and demand. More people make more money. They raise prices. Two income households means more money. When the majority of household were on one income then things were cheaper. Yall are really stupid. Nothing is ever free or basically close to free like temu. Yes, they can offer you cheap items when they can sell your information on top of it and when they are playing the long game. The websites and apps they have for Americans are not accessible to their own citizens. Stupid sheep. No critical thinking or self restraint.
So fifty MILLION people downloaded the app but there are only nine hundred complaints over normal issues people complain about with EVERY delivery service... and I'm supposed to think Temu is any different from Amazon, UA-cam, etc, why??? 🤔
I have had many orders from them, all good. I never download apps, I just order on website. I mean, if you order a diamond ring for £10, then you know exactly what you are going to get. But if you select things carefully, the prices are unbeatable. Gardening products, haberdashery etc are all good. And with free post and packages and free returns, you have nothing to lose. I pay with PayPal so have my back covered. Yes the products are Chinese but I’m afraid so is everything you buy nowadays. As others have said, ALL the online market shops use your data. Temu are doing nothing new. Their customer service is very good.
This is likely paid by Amazon, may be not directly. I've placed about the same number of orders on Temu and Amazon, I don't have anything to complain about Temu. Here's one difference between the two: Temu let you post any comments, Amazon sometimes rejects your negative comments using various excuses, which is nasty.
I was Thinking The Exact Same Thing..☝🏾Annnd I read an article Temu is passing Amazon in Sells too...This is a scare tactic ...So they need to Stop Wasted Energy..There are Soooo many companies that try to look and use your social media and info🙄
Yea. Didn’t think about that. I actually don’t use Amazon hardly at all anymore. Expired vitamins, stolen products from drivers and mostly items cost way more than they do in the stores..
Good point, why would be not be afraid of Amazon too? Just because Temu is Chinese, we should be afraid of only them? Did Amazon fund this news segment?
yes totally agree!!! because most consumers switch their buying and shopping to TEMU rather than AMAZON that is why they are spreading those malicious and untrue things. AMAZON customer service are getting worst than ever. they will not addressing your concerns and problems , the only thing that they will tell you is buy new one or get new one.
My only issue with them is how many emails and texts they slam you with. I work for the post office, and we deliver so much of this stuff. I have ordered from them before, and got what I ordered, but the "sweatshirts" are not sweatshirt material.
You know people who work in China in these types of companies are treated with ungodly cruelty in sweatshops so we can have all this cheap stuff? ua-cam.com/video/74YHqVUoJJ8/v-deo.html
Temu has been nothing but great for us. I've had multiple orders with no problems and all returns have been credited to my account with no questions asked and must times never had to send it back. Amazon has more of my info.
Tis is true. I never had any problem. Happy with what I ordered so far. My refund always returns to the card I used. Sometimes you don't have to return. Don't know why I returned because I ordered the wrong side and I get credit for next time. I posted before while reading, and I replied to your post.
Temu is 100% better than most online sites. BBB sucks. Never had anything not show up and if I have an issue with a product they refund me. They also do NOT do anything different than other sale apps.
We have ordered a few items from Temu but only on the website. We have downloaded the app. All the products were as expected (given the prices, expectations were not high) and everything was delivered in a reasonable time.
I was a Retailer for many years. I can confirm that what I'm writing is the truth. Temu sells direct to the general public. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing new under the sun. Retailers buy wholesale every day. I have ordered direct from Temu for a long time with no problems. The reality is that Retailers in the USA hate it that American buyers are purchasing direct from overseas sites because it cuts their bottom line. As far as Temu getting your information, well, every time you use your card, anywhere you use your card, your personal information is given to the seller. Does anyone really think that just Temu is getting your personal info? If so, that's very naive. Temu is no more a threat than any retailer both overseas or here in the U.S. We have the freedom to choose where to spend our money. Corporations cannot dictate, by using fear tactics, by using social media spamming or "news programs" as to how we spend our money! And no, I'm not affiliated with Temu. I'm a 66 year old ex Retailer who is simply telling you the truth. Spend your money as you like. Don't Fall for the Fear tactics that Corporations are spewing about Temu and other overseas retail websites.
China is systematically working their way into the US and other countries. This isn't just about retailers, this is about allowing bad actors in China to have deeper information and allows easier access for them to hack people's electronic devices. Look at all the farmland they have purchased around the military base. If you think this is only about marketing, you're being naive. Besides their human rights issues, I dont want their garbage - heavy metals, toxins, lead in their products. I Void any products made or assembled in China.
I have been using this company for over a year and I get exactly what I paid for in a timely manner. You get what you pay for, we know we're not getting luxury items, otherwise I'd be a luxury price. I don't know who these people are that are having problems and have to report things to the better Business bureau, but my neighbors and myself have not had any problems with this company.
Every app does that, you need to aware of what permission you grant it. You need to check and remove permissions which are not required from all the apps you have in your devices.
Let’s talk about the scAmericans who buy stuff for cheap and resell for 3-4 times the price because it’s essential. Let’s talk about the bad processed foods thats approved by government to eat. Temu keep up the good work
Way more than 3 4 times they make about 500 to 1000 percent profit. On Black Friday they're not losing any money even at half off they still make 3 to 400 percent profit.
We’ve never had a problem with Temu yet. 900 complaints out of over 330 million people? Stop trying to make something that isn’t there. How many people have had the same thing happen from American companies? All the companies do this same practice.
It’s all Amazon that is advertisement to stop people from leaving Amazon! I got the exact same things I used to get from Amazon and paid pennies on the dollar! No way I would delete the app
Honey I just won fishland last night and really never watched vids on Temu… this cbs clip Makes me kinda mad. I never shopped and got money back from any company but Temu. Temu steadily paid me cash back over the months I been studying and using the app.
Is everyone on here buying from Temu aware of the new Chinese laws that require any business operating in China to hand over any data the CCP asks for? That includes your personal information. If the CCP wants US and UK customers’ data Temu has to hand it over even if it breaches data protection laws in the US and UK.
1) US and UK companies do exactly this too. There is no privacy with Western companies or from Western governments. Between 2011 and 2021 (the only years for which there even is public data, most of the time it's hidden) the USA demanded Microsoft provide information on anywhere between 24,000 and 39,000 accounts every year. And this is just what Microsoft hasn't already sold to the government and third parties. There are no true data protection laws in the US if the government wants to know something about you. 2) So what exactly? The vast majority of information on a person is useless. And if someone really wants to scam you or make fraudulent purchases in your name, it's much easier if they have some connection to the US than from some foreign country. What is China going to realistically do knowing how many Americans consume way too much fast fashion, or like coffee a certain way, or prefer certain types of movies? You don't pay taxes to China. You don't get healthcare or education in China. You can't be forcibly drafted into the Chinese military like you can the US military. If you're a whistleblower for an American company you'll likely end up dead from "suicide" or made an example, not any different from supposed whistleblowers in China. So why exactly is this such a unique problem in your opinion? And why do you even think the vast majority of Americans have anything that would be remotely interesting to the Chinese government, other than for Chinese companies to make more money by targeting certain populations with certain ads / marketing, which is exactly what every US company already does anyways?
I've been a TEMU shopper now for almost a year and you DO NOT receive ANY order within a couple of days! Almost every order I have made (1-3 a month) arrives within a 10-14 day time period. I have NEVER downloaded the app bc it is completely unnecessary and of course bc they're in China! The 3 or so problems I had were refunded immediately and the products I've purchased have been great so I'll give them a 10 out of 10!
The video reports 900 cases of delays/reports to BBB. For an app used by 50,000,000, that's a stat to boost about not downplay. That's like 99. 999% customer satisfaction

I'm guessing Temu is putting a hurting on Amazon's business. Wondering if this was somewhat sponsored by Amazon or if they had anything to do with this subject.
She actually avoided the question - he asked her how many were scammed or had identity theft from Temu and she talked about national averages - never offered Temu data
maybe she received her parcel late and just receive 5 dollar compensation and she wants her item all be refunded . Got a lot customers like that in everyday we advised them to keep the item and they are getting full refund.
I’ve been a regular customer since the middle of March, 2023. Over a six month period, I have placed over 25 orders (hundreds of items)and have experienced no difficulties whatsoever. Whenever a shipment was late by even one day, I received an automatic $5.00 credit. This has happened only twice. Any returns that I made have had no hassles and my money was refunded almost immediately. The range of products is amazing with many items available that I didn’t even know existed. The only “problem” with Temu is that it can become addictive! It’s hard to resist the many low priced items, the free shipping and returns, as well as the outstanding customer service.
I totally agree with the addictive part. I find myself searching the site for imaginary items that I think woud be great to have. Surprisingly, I find matching products half the time.
I think the point a lot of people are making here is they're less concerned about quality or not getting an order and MUCH more concerned about access to personal info. Think about what's stored on your phone......
As an internet marketer, I collect names, email addresses and cellphone numbers to send promotional content to. Sounds like Temu is conducting business like any other business.
There are a lot of companies and (friends) who are doing this for a living. Obviously, they are not your friends. They are salespeople who are making money from your account. Email, phone number, or FB and ING (digital creators)
If something is being advertised as $49.99 everywhere but on Temu it's only $11.99? That isn't conducting business like everyone else. That's conning people.
@@donmiller2908usually that’s because the item with the higher price has already been bought from China and is being sold at a higher price to make a profit. It’s cheaper when you buy from the manufacturer. That’s with everything

We came along in school we were taught to fully pronounce our words and not just slur our pronunciation. Sadly this happens all too often on a daily basis now with almost everyone everywhere. I’ve used Temu for at least 6 months. I have found many of their products work better than products that I previously bought from Walmart. I am on a fixed income and Temu has been great. If a product doesn’t come on time I’ve always got a credit to my account. Also, I received a credit for a product that was delivered on time because the USPS never notified them of the delivery. I understand that this is a Chinese company but so far I’ve had no issues. I will continue to use them.
I've used it haven't had any problems I've seen things for 20 or $30 and got them for $2 on team u and I will continue to use it. I would recommend it Dorohy
Do what you please but it's not a great idea 💡 to EVER download any App owned by a Chinese company including TikTok which is another reason politicians have been talking about banning it. They've been doing it for decades now. Wake up, people, before it's too late and you're left contacting the media for 🗣️HELP!
I feel like Temu items are those that haven’t been labeled for sale in big box stores. This seems to be part of the war against China. I pay through PayPal and have been giving my information out to the world since I opened myself up to the internet. This story is about general theft and not Temu theft, they are trying to get information for data themselves. This is poor reporting. I’ve gotten five or six orders and our upstairs neighbor has gotten two or three a month since last year. We are begging them to take out info and we have done fine.
They talk about national identity theft but link it to Temu but have not proven that Temu is doing it. The real problem countries have with Temu is that they are not getting tax income from Temu because their products are so cheap.
So Temu collects the same info that other shopping apps collect? Why is CBS targeting Temu if it's not politically driven? I order from Temu & have always received my items.
@@pookiemoon, I take it you don't have Bank of America? I tell you I get pissed when I either spent a large amount of money and BOA declines my card or be asking me did I buy these items. And if it was Temu, then why didn’t you file complaint with the company so they refund you your money? Also you look rather young… to young to be messing around with online shopping. Same and they are so good with refunds as well is just the government after tiktok and any Chinese company lol and who do they get to promote it… the media .
The guy asked if they had proof of identity theft by Temu or if this was just a warning that something could happen, but she gave no proof. Instead, she just gave a vague answer that ID theft occurs every minute. Thereby attempting to link the two together. Hmmm...
Every app does this. It is a disclaimer you accept without reading when you download any of it. The way to report on such a thing should have been about how we freely give our information to companies from foreign countries or country deems a risk to us. People are free to take their own risk with their information. We don’t have the right to not inform everyone evenly about the fact that they do all the time everywhere.
I have been ordering from TEMU at least twice a month or more for a year. Got everything I wanted and prices are great. Even the clothes and shoes were spot on with the fit and sizing.
They want to fight Temu the way the fought titok and Huawei phones. Temu is aggressive and Amazon and others are worried. All sites even for job search steals information.
I have had the app for almost a year and ordered many items. Their customer service is excellent and if you don't get your items by the they day the have given you five dollars off the b ordered is awarded to your account. I’ve ordered a bunch of stuff and love most of it but there are some really cheap products that don’t work *cough* those lights that look like crystal pillars. I got three and all stopped working soon after I used them. They refunded me so it’s all good.
Cool; keep supporting outfits that exploit sweatshop and political prisoner labor and then brag about it on the Internet. 👍🏻 Typical American values at work
I've made dozens of TEMU purchases. The products are occasionally great, nearly always adequate, and rarely complete junk - though it happens on some of the cheaper items. The shipping bags are flimsy and I've had some breakage issues, but customer service is exceptional. Returns are never a problem. In fact, they have always issued a prompt refund and told me to keep the items. Seems like everybody is collecting data these days, I don't know how you can avoid that without staying off the internet.

Totally laughable! Are these people paid by Amazon?? I have been a TEMU customer for sometime now and like millions of others, I am 100% satisfied! I had one order that was 1 day late and they credited me with $5 and the item got delivered by the afternoon. 😅 I once had an order that was held up by CBSA for a week and they gave me $5 credit and automatically refunded the money. My order eventually got delivered, about 2 weeks late. So I got the order for free plus a $5 credit. What is there not to like? Competition is great for the consumers!
I started deleting the app as soon as she started talking but as soon as she said that TEMU was collecting email addresses & customers data, I was like Wait A Minute! Every other online business does the same and has delivery issues too. I reinstalled the app and now I’m gonna order something. 😁
I've been a customer of Temu for about 9 months now and I've ordered more than 20 times already and not a single major problem occurs. I actually accumulated $35 credit because of late delivery for a week when Temu's popularity exploded exponentially that I figured they had to hire more staff. For the past 5 months I haven't had any late delivery, they must have hired more people now, I supposed.
I’ve ordered from TEMU multiple times. There are plenty of websites/apps that collects “privacy” information. Ive always received everything I ordered and also received my money back from clothing items I’ve sent back. I wonder why the US is wanting to get rid of this app from US buyers there has to be more of an issue because honestly it doesn’t seem as they are being 100% honest on this video. Plus why take a survey so they can know how many ppl use site and have your name address and other information from the survey? This is weird!
This is by far not the only company that collects your personal information when you shop! I think their customer service is exceptional and their products are not crap. If I ever had a problem or an Issue with anything they sent I immediately got credit and very seldom even have to return the product. What company let you keep it and gives you your money back? Answer that!
I agree. I've ordered numerous things from Temu... Many.. and any time I have an issue, my account gets credited. Yes, as with any company that you order products from, every item is not to quality. Please, you think other companies aren't getting your information...US companies. Give me a break. Temu isn't doing anything that other companies haven't done.
They're making all the money in the United States consumers are spending their money on United States of America products anymore that's why United States is losing money

I remember several months ago, being lured by a temu ad and its ridiculous prices. I knew the risks as it was clearly chinese...but I took a chance. Ordered a crapload of cool little $2-3 kitchen stuff - like a watermelon cuber, sink mounted cleaning rack, electric pepper grinder, etc. A couple of weeks later a massive box arrived with everything. I was pretty satisfied overall. A bit better than dollar store quality, and some unique items I would never find elsewhere. Temu is great and no issues. THEY DO NOT WANT us to interfere with their profits. Temu sells way cheaper and has decent quality items. No different than Amazon or Walmart.
I love Temu!! I have never had any problems with Temu. I received my products on time. And will continue to buy from them. All companies end up leaking or selling your information to 3rd parties. This woman is so flipping funny and yet she wants YOU to take a survey in which they will collect your data!!
I have purchased from Temu over 30 times! Customer service is great. Refunds are easy. Products have been 98% nice quality! I have heard of this happening tons of times over the years with different companies. Yes this one is based out of china but a large percentage of the items we buy and order are. Amazon has the same exact items as Temu just much more expensive…where does Amazon get them from and attach a much higher price tag?!🧐
Exactly! Sounds like the bureau is just mad that they are making millions from Americans but yet they will never lower their prices . So it’s okay when you buy from China but I can’t ??? At least Temu is honest . I know what I’m buying and at least they aren’t spying on me through my phone or tv cameras . They had a great business plan and you are jealous. Period 😂

The difference with that statement is before you download any app you check them out to see if they’re legitimate, how they operate. you don’t just download an app that you’re going to purchase from and they’re going to get your information. Do they ask for Social Security? This is China do you watch the news and pay attention they don’t like us in the US.
Hit or miss, people give it 5 stars or 1 star, nothing in between. Personally I think the five-star reviews are fake. If you read the responses to the complaints on Temu, they're all identical. Just be smart when ordering online. Get a prepaid credit card and use that.
It's a shame so many people are won over by cheap shit and keep downloading a Chinese info mining app. Americans are proving how superficial easily manipulated they really are. we are no longer a superpower. We have become a joke.
Shame on you for singling out Temu. Most online companies do the same thing you're complaining about. I order from Temu at least once a month and I'm almost always pleased with my purchases. For kitchen gadgets, home organizing and decorating, and other household items, you can't beat Temu and their cheap prices. BONUS: If your package doesn't get to you on or before the date they say, they give you a $5 credit to be used on your next order. Who else does that??
I am a witness to that. The items have been delivered to me on time or the latest was delivered the last day but they still gave me the $5.00 credit without asking. I will keep on buying at Temu.. The US is just pissed at the fact that they cant get any money off of Temu.
do you know if you click on your order and theres a "price adjustment', you can click it and temu will give you a credit. That's if the item you purchase has lower its price since your order. I didn't know it under recently.
DON’T TAKE THIS LIGHTLY!!!! Yesterday I downloaded the Temu app. I came across this video as I was researching an item I was interested in purchasing. I decided to delete the app. This morning I wake up and see a notification on my phone that someone in Beijing tried to sign into my apple with my Apple ID. I clicked “ don’t allow “ but I don’t know how long it was there. Hopefully there was no access.
I have ordered so many things with Temu as well, and never had 1 problem! There was one ordered that I had placed that was delayed, but they issued me a $5 credit to use on my next order! With the majority of the reviews I am reading, people are right, it can happen with all apps. Amazon, Walmart, Target. The list can go on and on! Any app can sell your information. Also, did anybody know that when you walk into a Bath and Body Works store, and they ask you for your phone number, that when you give it to them, they sell it to a third-party company, and that is how you are getting more solicitors calling you? Same with giving out your zip code. So, see, it's everywhere, not just Temu! So please people, leave this company alone!
I’m more at risk for fraud and theft at chain stores and malls, especially during the big holiday sales. Anyone that would take the time and effort to try to steal my identity would be pissed off anyway, because I own nothing of value but some broken Walmart bedroom furniture, clothes that don’t fit, a soul sucking job, and my fair share of debt.
Her response to his good question was weak and applied to all scams in general. I've used Temu hundreds of times. Only two items were substandard. Only one time i didn't receive one item. I submitted a claim with temu. They immediately refunded me.
Soooo she never confirmed that this company actually committed identity theft? Becasue at this point all companies are doing exactly what she is speaking of, collecting data. Someone help a sister out and make this make sense here.
So did CBS look at the complaints regarding Amazon on the BBB, because I did, people accuse Amazon of the same thing. The BBB doesn’t do thorough investigations and if this was at all true and the BBB had any knowledge of what they are accusing a company of doing, the FBI would have to be informed and this attention would be all over the place, but it’s not. Temu’s parent company is a Chinese company, but Temu’s headquarters, which also houses its servers, are based in Boston, MA. The BBB gets funding from corporations and local businesses, think about it……The media, couldn’t even report a tic tac toe match honestly.
Looking at all the comments and as a Temu user, this time the media failed at manipulating their viewers. Sometimes I question the real reason behind the news report....
No bAck up of evidence that indeed temu, is doing unscrupulous activities! All items they are selling are really cheap then if you find your orders didn’t much your expectations, easy refund., then some items is no need to return as per instruction you get your money back! 😅
I've yet to try Temu. After this report I think I might. Most apps use data this way. And 900 compaints out of millions aint bad. This sounds like mud slinging against temu by competitors
My advice is to always check the reviews on the products before you buy and make sure to look for the best deal you can get (there’s a lot of competition for the same shit) so far no complaints
I think at this point people have proven that they do not care if their personal information is shared and sold. If they did, they wouldn't be on the internet. Government certainly isn't going to stop it, considering how useful a tool it is for their elections and propaganda. Manipulation is the game and the internet is a valuable tool.
I've used timu twice, everything was as described. You have to read the descriptions carefully because sometimes something will look like glass but is really plastic, but I find that shine and Alibaba and timu have great things at great prices. A lot of traditional smoke shop kind of stuff, incense burners, Crystal bunnies, stuff that's really fun and unique and kind of exotic and reminds me of my inner 9-year-old who was always so excited to get things from some other part of the world.
Who, What, When, Where, Why and How - the basics of good journalistic reporting. This “warning” was more than vague and carries no weight without facts and details. It’s more like “the boogy man is living in your closet!” 😱

@@naomiemoore5725 you're using UA-cam.

They're not failing to mention the obvious. It's a psyop hitpiece and by design. American businesses have been profiting off illegal slave and child labor for decades. Theyre now angry because local middlemen in China are taking a (big) piece of that action, and are trying to scare you.

Look at all the farmland they have purchased around the military base. If you think this is only about marketing, you're being naive. Honey I just won fishland last night and really never watched vids on Temu… this cbs clip
Makes me kinda mad.

I feel like Temu items are those that haven’t been labeled for sale in big box stores. This seems to be part of the war against China. I pay through PayPal and have been giving my information out to the world since I opened myself up to the internet.

Well said. It's exactly the same stuff sold on Amazon but at wholesale prices. Bezos Wall Street cartel ordered this hitjob.
@@JorgeReyes-fq5yy Yep they have done
that to me too.
I’m calling bullshit. Lies lies lies
All the best to you.
Sounds like some companies are very unhappy about customers not having to pay their mark up and us getting things for $1.😒
That’s because they stealing American small business designs, making products with high amounts of lead and children are making those products.
I got 7 cent hings such as sissors, labels, and lots of kitchen items.
That's exactly it.
EXACTLY
Facts! lol
Its a hit job by US companies to destroy competition, ehat do you expect?
This. Disgusting hit piece paid for by Amazon.
That's the problem with the news they lie more than any damn body n only put majority negativity out here smh 🤦🏽♀️
@@ladyredthaproducerI know that's right! That part!🙄😒
No bAck up of evidence that indeed temu, is doing unscrupulous activities! All items they are selling are really cheap then if you find your orders didn’t much your expectations, easy refund., then some items is no need to return as per instruction you get your money back! 😅
Paid for by Amazon??
Well, for one, they (China's Temu) are competing with American companies like Amazon and Walmart.
You used it and you're watching this news segment and you still can't call it temu instead of timu? Humans are interesting
@@_gonna_renew_my_sinew It's called an typo
If it’s crap you call
In they refund most of it
You name it it’s on there art supplies 😅 everything
@@strawberryme08I like it too
Lower the prices here in America and maybe you wouldn't have to get on here and state the obvious.
Who, What, When, Where, Why and How - the basics of good journalistic reporting. This “warning” was more than vague and carries no weight without facts and details. It’s more like “the boogy man is living in your closet!” 😱
