The people that truly cared and understood their mission noticed . Did they win Grammys ? Get on mtv. Was that even their goal ? They made some of the most epic post rock records or whatever genre they call themselves. They toured the globe . Brought that energy to people from every place they landed on tour . I saw them in a basement venue in auckland New Zealand. It was breathtaking and so emotional . I’m just sad they didn’t make more music as Isis but I adore the albums they did make .
@StanislavG. I never got that impression from them. Their recordings sound fine. Beyond that, though, if you really think the general masses care enough about sound quality to make or break a band you're giving people too much credit.
I'm a 21-year-old mechanical engineering student. This, as another commenter so eloquently put it, resonates with my soul in a way very few other things do.
It's many years now that i watch this video...sometimes. Every times the feelings are the same...so much emptiness, alienation...specially the final part from 6:28 Goosebumps and here we go...
Our skin worn thin Our bones exposed Life reduced to ticks From forest caves and azure skies We crashed upon this earth The years they passed and so did we But resistance would be brought
The way that Botch, Isis, and Refused (at the end of the 90's) broke up feel very similar. Three bands ahead of their craft, yet under appreciated at the time, putting a deliberate end to their band. Refused had put out some damn good music since their disbandment and Botch recently put out a truly Botch sounding one off song. But the lightning in a bottle is gone. The work that was put out during their active phases is what laid future groundwork for music to come. It's the reason why I try and see every band, that sparks something new in me, as soon as I can. If you know where to look, there are newer bands pushing these ideas forward in exciting ways.
This video is as close of a resemblance of what I wonder about when this song plays. Our inheretence of mystery and progression is interpreted so well. That is what I think Isis is best known for when it comes to there music and lyrics. We do need more music videos. From Sinking, for me would have to be first choice! \m/
i don't know anyone who listens to isis and hasn't either gotten mad chills or hasn't tripped balls just listening to the atmospheric tones. isis is paranormal
Thx for the video this song is a Masterpiece i wish to thank you from the whole muscle beating into my chest called a heart i still remember the first time i saw Isis Live and i'm going again on the 6th of June in my hometown Montreal Québec i Can't seem to explain why but everytime i listen to this song it fills me up with Hope for humanity so much beauty and destruction at once the ying & yang i guess thx again great footage the scenery is mind blowing !!!!!!
Had to search for my yt pw to make a comment, but it worth it. Awesome Song and awesome Video. Nice Idea. Congrats! Saw them live in Germany in a abandoned subway. In the last 15 min the mic. gave it up for few minutes, but he made it only with his voice. Such a cool evening..
Old fan here, guys remember an early youtube video of this song where the guy put shots of wolves and sharks from nature documentaries? that video was wild, it's probably deleted, I can't find it
You don't have any idea of what you just done. You just made one of the most awesome videos i've ever seen. So Did We is one of my favorite song of all times, and you made a video that transcribes completely what I feel when I listen to it. A feeling of something massive, yet claustrophobic at the same time. I applaud you, sir. And keep going with the great work.
To listen to an all-encompassing song unfold with the human-cancer/decay-factor video is awe-inspiring to say the least. Brilliant work by Isis and the above visual artist.
it's crazy how appropriate this video is for the song
I know man. Such crazy, many wow.
Jacob Peterson No.
wow, much hostile, such cri.
+ravenouscolonelhart It's heavy as fuckk,, It's gonna be hard to replace
@BossHossGT500 based 5 year spite reply
This band was a nuclear explosion that went unnoticed
Shame really... I think part of it is because of their insistence to keep the audio quality as if it was recorded on a walkman in a public toilet
@@StanislavG. IMO because it is true/too progressive.

This is fantastic, this should be the official video for the song
Not only does the video fit the song, but the imagery is also very close to the album artwork. Great work!
this is the best fanmade video clip I've ever seen. so fucking well done, from intent to execution
I remember listening to this when it first came out. I walked all over town listening to this. Amazing band.
The first time i heard 4:10-7:44 i knew i could never go back. This vibrates at the same frequency as my soul.
SAME
Olee tus huevos
It heals broken cells an dna errors. You was near.
Jesus, I hope the members of Isis come to their senses and get back together. Some of the best music I've ever heard.
Glad to see I am not the only one who cries when this song is played ...
true Classic...
It's many years now that i watch this video...sometimes. Every times the feelings are the same...so much emptiness, alienation...specially the final part from 6:28
Goosebumps and here we go...
Oh my god same here! Honestly Panopticon is probably my favorite metal record ever.
This song, especially with this video, illustrates the passage of time so brutally
This gave me life.
The video gives me a retro-futuristic feeling.
Our skin worn thin
Our bones exposed
Life reduced to ticks
From forest caves and azure skies
We crashed upon this earth
The years they passed and so did we
But resistance would be brought
This song always hits me so damn hard emotionally
this is the best fuckin unofficial homemade video for a song I've ever watched.
best video for one of the best song/band of always.
clearly you understand. thank you.
since i first heard this song i think every day about this song ,best song in the world

If anyone has ever seen "Koyannisqatsi" they'll see the similarities. Great work!!
This is absolutely brilliant!
The video approaches very close to the meaning of Panopticon.
From the very second this song starts, it's HUGE. It's like being hit by a wave of pure, raw emotion.
awesome song... :P the aerial views on the video really remind me of the album cover of panopticon :P RIP ISIS...hope they'll do a comeback some year
@Matti Vainionpää we can only wish
