Well looks like we won't be getting that ISIS reunion after all the terrorist attacks in Paris and shit.. Just when rumors were going around about a reunion and this happens.. I for one cannot wait to see them return..panopticon will always be my go to album but this song in particular is extraordinary. So simple but so complex and such a great build up.. Just goes to show that you don't have to blast beat and have guttural vocals full speed to be heavy. These guys mastered the art of using soft atmospheric riffs and noises on the quiet spectrum so that when they do go heavy you actually feel it.. That's way more intense than any breakdown.. Bands don't do this often anymore and the ones who do go unrecognized..speaking as a musician myself, no one really knows how truly awesome it is for all of these guys to come together and write extravagant musical collectives instead of a 3:30 song to be put on the radio.. A reunion needs to happen
It's an absolute shame that their name has been tainted as of recently. I really want to get some of their T-shirts. I should anyway. I've been a fan for years now. I saw them open for TOOL in 2006 and it blew me away. If you guys haven't already heard of them, check out the band Palms. I believe it's 3 guys from ISIS with Chino from the Deftones. They only have 1 album so far but I'm really, really liking it.
Brian Cheney If you can hold your own, and youre not around reactionary psychos, get it. Isis as far as I am aware is originally an Egyptian Goddess. Aswell as a band. The best way to fight oppressive groups is to not let their name shine. If anyone would ask, just educate them on this amazing band :D
@@ericbravo6005 i agreed to an extent..i dig his vocals however the vocal are too high in the mix and they literally engulf the instrumentals here and there. Not cool. The mixing of that album is medicore at best.
Basically Isis will never be again. I think that Aaron and the other guys are quite distant. Every time I bring something up to them about him on facebook things get quiet. He won't add people either. I think he just wants to do his thing with the wifey.
I discovered them this year. Still mindblowing hearing them every time. Their music just has something special that I cant really describe. I hope to see them reunite one day
@@ameypv they're reuniting as celestial but it is ISIS ❤❤❤❤❤ I got tickets a few months back and couldn't believe it, after years of hoping they'd one day reunite so I could see them for the first time, it's happening! www.brooklynvegan.com/isis-reuniting-as-celestial-to-honor-caleb-scofield/
This was recorded before Oceanic. I can't believe they sat on this track for more than a decade; it's too damn good!
I miss these guys so much!
Si señor una banda que paso y dejo huella en quienes los escuchamos, banda que se extraña!!!
Still one of my top 5 favorite bands. The songs they threw away were still better than 90% of the music made today.
Saw isis with tool back in 06...one hell of a show lads
Lucky you... that must be amazing memories
@@xavkoston16 very much so. Seen tool 11x only saw isis once but damn it was good
I could spend the value of 11 Tool's show just to see Isis mouhahahaha
@@xavkoston16 that would be great id love a small isis house show id be happily deaf after
Damn, what an experience that must have been. Treasure the memory, pal!
The end of this song blows me away.

Temporal is untouchable, the only band who has a B side that buries its entire catalog
Damn didn't know this one ! Outstanding !
So nice work from ISIS! "Temporal" is epic...

I'm Panopticon, then this. High five you legend.
They have to come back together and make another album
They should just rename themselves Panopticon. It would sum it all up perfectly.
That's already the name of a famous American black/folk metal band.

saw em open for tool in 06 as well they are
superb
I can SERIOUSLY do without Chino's voice on that Collaboration. That Album should Definitely be Instrumental.
Tool should have opened for Isis

they've been at it together since 27 used to open for Isis back in Boston during their high-times. Not really a shock.
Temporal is fucking perfect
They'll reunite one day and save Hydra Head records with all the tour money they get. Just watch.

indie0gal thanks so much for sharing the link. Stoked 😊
Nice…
Colosal
Did this song never have an official version?
+Cristofer Muñoz Chacano i don't think so... this was the last "new" song they ever released...
Funny enough, the second part reminds me of Yndi Halda, but ofc. This is older.

so what bands are they trying to imitate here?
Uhhh. Are you for real with this shit? GTFO

@@MariaTorres-ld5pzpeople are absolutely unaware of the influence that Isis have on the post metal-rock-sludge or whatever scene.
