Hi Alex…you have no idea how phenomenal Whitney was live. I will have to correct you, in the 90’s Whitney was majestic, but in the 80’s she was far greater. Check out her singing The Greatest Love Of All in Wembley 1988 or her perfect performance of I Am Changing in San Francisco 1986. In the 90’s Whitney voice became less bright, but still phenomenal. Around this time Whitney had 3 studio albums, multiple television performances, a televised concert for the troops, and hundreds of concert performances. Yet she still sounding better than anyone. She still gave such stellar performances!! She’s the greatest vocalist of all time. This is ONE of the greatest performances that she’s done in her extraordinary career.

In the 80s her voice was crisper and clearer. In the 90s her voice became richer and fuller and more velvety. She still had Extraordinary power in the 90s, but it started to wane a little bit late in the decade. Even in 2021 she could still outsing almost anyone, With some restoration, hard work and vocal cleansing. Yes, she was that good but I believe she would’ve gotten 90% of it back!! That’s why she is the greatest vocalist ever and the queen!

Most singers are not allowed to sing the original at different venues. They have to change it because of recorded contracts. But definitely she can do anything and still make it beautiful and brand new.

I don't know why you keep saying her rendition is better than the original! she might have changed the arrangement but she sang it originally! David Foster and Linda Thompson wrote it originally for her, she was the original recorder so I don't know who you think did it before her, many people have afterwards but nobody has ever done it like she has and nobody ever will!
I meant the studio version. She really changed a lot of things in the live rendition especially the ending and the part towards the climax also much more passionate. Thank you

I am listening to her but i also experience and REACT to her so i can’t just sit still especially around Whitney Houston! If you want no talking in the video just listen to the original clip i suppose or just skip to the commentary part afterwards. Maybe you should see how reactions work but thanks for weighing in nonetheless.
