I know there will be a lot of people who will disagree with me, she was and still is the best female singer to ever do it!!!❤️ RIP QUEEN
100% true
Agree!
Jen Hudson close but that Whitney and the songs 🔥
Agree!
I don't think too many people can disagree with that. She's up there with Barbara Streisand and Aretha Franklin. But I think she was the best of the 3.
There will NEEEEEEVER be another voice like Whitney's, this wasn't even her at her best. Drugs took a LEGEND 🥺🙏🏾🙏🏾
But alas the legend that is Whitney took the drugs.
No the industry's dirty business did!
What a loss for all of us.
Sad to watch, wasn't the worst yet. The time when she was drugged out and couldn't hit any of her notes and the audience gave her a polite applause. She immediately goes to her aunt Dione Warwick and gets a hug. The hug was more of a validation and beings Dione loved Whitney, she went along with the charade. Many of us prayed for Whitney. They asked for prayers for her because she was so far gone. Her demise was harder to watch than say Elvis. Whitney was sweating hard, making her modified rendition work. Awhiel, later, she wouldn't. Then to see the news of her death, it shocked the entire nation. We all loved Whitney.
The way Whitney could just seamlessly slide back and forth from her chest to her head voice is just ridiculous! RIP Queen! #thevoice
She was truly anointed and grossly mishandled. Miss her, Prince, Michael, L,Uther, James Brown.........
This wasn't even her at her best and she could still sing better than most!
She definitely knew how to use her voice. She was simply gifted 🙏🏾🙏🏾
And even if you can match the notes, that power is IMPOSIBLE.
Listen to "Run to You" from "The Bodyguard" soundtrack. Gives me chills everything. Her voice was so pure.
Yessss!!!
absolutely!
Yeeeeeesss! The first time I heard “Run to You” I cried like a baby.
It’s her best ballad
Yes!!!
And this was AFTER her voice and body had deteriorated from drug and alcohol abuse. This arrangement was perfection for where she was sonically at that time. Y’all just don’t understand. Rest in eternal peace. Still brings tears😢😔
I totally agree. While this is a great performance, it doesn't compare to when she was at her best with this song
She also did the BEST rendition of the star spangled banner at the Superbowl. I can't remember what year somewhere between 2008 and 2010. Talk about giving you chills. i don't think anyone could top that.
That was 1991 at The Super Bowl
They reacted to that!!
It was 1991 just before the Gulf War
Thanks all of you!!! I have Covid brain.
@@ms.dirtybird7779 I hope your case wasn't too awful!
Your friend in the back is completely in his feelings. I love his reaction! RIP Whitney. We miss you so much ❤️❤️❤️
I believe that is Tim and Fred's little brother!
Dolly Parton wrote and performed this song years before and was thrilled when Whitney did it.
I love that Dolly pretty much went, "Well, that's clearly how it's meant to be sung, it's her song now."
I'll bet Dolly got way richer from Whitney's rendition too, lol
@@rachelb6153 Dolly once mentioned how she didn’t mind at all and mentioned the royalties/bank.
Ya'll always feel a need to state that. We see what you are doing.
@@mspinkytee what are they doing? Everyone knows Whitney never wrote her own music.
Y'all should react to Whitney's live performance at the 1994 American Music Awards.
@@shereegudeman3138 yes ma’am!!
I just commented that!
Yes it's honestly incredible!!!
Whitney was “THE BEST” and everyone knows that.
without a doubt
If her voice doesn't hit you in the feels, you're dead inside.
Stunning!
AMEN 🙏
True
Every time I hear her sing I get chills, what an amazing voice, rip
Yes she just effects your emotions. There will never be another like her. I will always love you "Whitney".💜
There will never, ever be another Whitney Houston. 💜
AMEN🙏 & R I P WHITNEY 🌹🌹🙏
EVER!!!!.......🧡🌺🙏
Her voicr makes me cry every time. The world lost a queen when she passed.
It just reminds me, how sad it is….that she is no longer with us. 💔🙁 What a beautiful voice…gone way too soon. Another great song written by Dolly Parton. 👍😍 Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
Dolly Parton has revealed that she invested her royalties from Whitney Houston's cover of "I Will Always Love You" into a Black community in Nashville. ... According to Forbes, the ballad -- which spent 14 weeks at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 -- earned Parton $10 million in royalties in the 1990s.
Dolly Parton wrote this song when she left the Porter Wagoner show .. Kevin Costner asked her if Whitney could sing it in the movie Bodyguard.. Dolly said heck yeah.. that girl is gonna make me rich!’ Dolly was driving when she first heard Whitney’s version and she got so emotional cause it was so beautiful she pulled over and wept .. y’all can react to Dolly’s live version
Dolly is the queen, and Whitney crushed it!
Elvis wanted the song years before, but he wanted to buy the rights. Dolly was smart to say no.
We know
But Whitney made it better
🤷♀️🤷♀️
@@charlottelinder4868 I don't think there is a song Whitney Houston couldn't make better. She put the Star Spangled Banner on the charts. Who else could do that? No one!!! Greatest singer... hands down!!
And Dolly, being the class act she is, said this song was written for Whitney and it's her song now. Class act to say she sang it better. Totally different versions, just like love, and both beautiful. Whitney is definitely one of a kind. Dolly too ; )
Young man in the back..I can tell you FEEL and appreciate what a precious, one of a kind voice Mrs. Whitney possessed. I watched you the entire time. You probably won't see this, but I had to say something 🖤🖤
I had to go back and watch him. He was enjoying himself the whole time.❤😂
Preach, my friend: “No one can compete with her voice.” Truth. She was a once in _all time_ talent and artist, like Mozart and other people who seemed to have a straight line to God… Thank you for reacting to this video. It gave me life to watch and listen along with you.
Yes...at the beginning it's almost like she was tapping in and communing with Holiness before digging deep within for that vocal range....
Just saw something last night….check it out…he’s amazing because he explains what it is you just can’t put your finger on.
Whole life wondered what it was about Sam Cooke…Fil nails it.
Here he talks about one half of The Righteous Brothers, Bobby Hatfield.
Lord sends us these people from time to time to show us what we’re capable of.

Absolutely agree
You might wish to listen to her mother, Cissy Houston, in a live performance from the '70s. You will hear quite clearly where Whitney got her voice and intonation. ua-cam.com/video/ySZNLzo9Mew/v-deo.html&ab_channel=amajor2012
Yes! Whitney was such a gem. Along with Mariah Carey, And Celine dion. The 90s diva holy trinity.
Wow I clicked so fast!
The greatest voice that ever was and will ever be. I miss her terribly. Love you Whitney 🌹👑
Omg he's trying so hard to hold back his tears. Amazing voice!!!!
The older I get the more things like this make me emotional. Bless you.
I love the raw emotion you guys showed. It truly was a beautiful and heartfelt performance.
Rip Whitney we love you.
I remember this when it happened. It's a great performance. And she wasn't even at her peak then. If you really want to her Whitney blow, check out her performance of "I Am Changing" live in London in 1986. It's an audio recording. It's here on UA-cam.
I miss her so much 😢 she was the best at all of her performances
As a teenager in the 80's, she was one of my favorite singers. One of her songs was My class song, "The Greatest Love Of All." I especially love this song. Thank you for playing it.
Everything I hear her music, I miss her voice even more.
Also guys you chopped off the last 30 seconds to the video she was still finishing the song and you missed the ending which was just on the word "you" and it's totally worth it so go back and watch it.
Please react to her live performance of “Didn’t we almost have it all” I forget the show but she has a brown leather jacket on. She was absolutely amazing on this performance! Thanks in advance guys!💜
She just stood there with the mic. Thee best!
That performance is amazing. The concert is some where in New York state & I believe it is a outdoor venue. Just awesome!!
Yessss! Concert from Saratoga Springs, NY in September of 1987. It was shown via satellite during the MTV Video Music Awards that year. Phenomenal performance.
That live performance is actually the official video of the song and I think it was the second single released from her second album “ Whitney”.
That was her show in 1988…Loved that album she did that you year as well
I will always love you guys, love the sweatshirt, support HBCU! ❤️
Keep up the good work, guys. All of Whitney's live performances are phenomenal, but the very best one for me is when she sang "One Moment in Time" (Live at the Grammy's 1989). I think you should react to that one. You will be blown away.
Yes! I've been requesting that song for awhile. She is phenomenal!
And the version when she sang for Sammy Davis, Jr. before his death
@@MsWhoDatFan That version is outstanding too.
@@MsWhoDatFan the American flag jam of 1992 is even more epic. You should check it out
Whitney was that ethereal, once-in-a-lifetime, talent and voice that is so so so rare.
Brings tears to my eyes! Nobody better.
She was a gift from God, that Whitney.
Be a beautiful bird, Whitney Houston, like always. Be in the Light.
She had a fantastic set of lungs. Never be anyone else like her.
YES! Please react to alot more Whitney, Beautiful inside and out! Love you Whitney, Rest In Power!
You want chills, listen to all the man i need (welcome home heros) and the greatest love of all (arista records)

W.H. has best voice vocal ever!
Whitney is the GOAT. Even Dolly had to bow down for that one.
this song was composed and written by Dolly Parton
You guys should definitely react to I have nothing live at the billboard awards 1993
Favorite live performance by Whitney by far is her I Loves You Porgy/And I Am Telling You/I Have Nothing medley at the 1994 VMA’s! 10 minutes of goosebumps! If you want to be crying, listen to Whitney’s live version of “This Day”, had me tearing up last night!

Dang! Y’all had me in tears thinking about Whitney. Whenever I hear her voice I’m just struck by it’s beauty, power, and amazing interpretation of a song. We are blessed to have the recordings of her performances.
Tears for how beautiful her voice was, and tears for her.
Whitney Houston had an incredible voice ... Was one most stunningly beautiful woman I believe on the inside aa well as out .. God rest her soul.
After all these years I still cry when hearing that amazing, beautiful voice. Rest well in heaven songbird. I love you! And I love you young guys for understanding what is a great, natural voice is all about.

Whitney and then husband Bobby Brown duet “Something in Common” is really nice. I gotta bring up though Whitney song official video of “Saving All My Love for You” early in her career has always been my favorite among endless amount of hits. What a beautiful lady, talent no one can match. Such a great loss. Forever in our hearts❤️ RIP🙏🏼

She did an awesome cover of this Dolly Parton song
It was a sad day but thank God we still got her recordings.
Try Dolly Parton’s version of this song. Belinda Davids version of it at the Apollo Theater with Steve Harvey. Steve’s reaction is priceless

nobody...can touch her...perfection...❤️
Hey nephews 🥰I enjoy you guys so much. Keep up the awesome work 🥰
What made Whitney Houston different from others singers was her ability to tell a story through her songs. We can hear everything she said, it’s like she brings us in a quiet place to tell that particular story. She was one in a million!
I love your friend that's a man in touch with his feelings
FINALLY another Whitney reaction!!! I was checking everyday for it ...
You should listen to her duet with her mother Cissy Houston it’s called I Know Him So Well. You’ll find out where she got her incredible voice from
And wasn't her auntie none other than Dionne Warwick? Some serious talent in that family, for sure.
@@dianeouellette3571 Dionne Warwick is actually her cousin
@john tutela after all these years, I always thought she was her aunt. Thanks for setting me straight! 😅
My favorite performances is: Whitney Houston American Music Awards 1994- Movie Medley performance. It’s Excellent bad is one I think you should take look at
Loved your reactions to this amazing live performance by the Late Great Whitney Houston. Superb.
""Didn't we almost have it all," VEVO video was live in New York. Never heard anything better than that yet.

That is their little brother I do believe!
Thank you guys… this was wonderful
No one can replace Whitney. Such a loss and tragedy.
Whitney we will always love you, so sad you are gone.
I have a suggestion for you guys. It’s not a song but a speech given by KEVIN COSTNER at her FUNERAL. He captures her so perfectly in his speech. Don’t think of it as a sad speech, it’s uplifting and he tells how he saw Whitney. It’s incredible ( they costarred in THE BODYGAURD) ALSO…A great movie !!
I saw her live in the 90s and she was absolutely stunning!!!!! Love your channel. ✌❤
The guy in the middle…. He really loved Whitney.
And this isn't even PEAK Whitney!! (though it's still brilliant of course)
She always sung live it wasn't auto tunes back then she was just flat out sing such a legend
Can you guys please react to her singing “ALL THE MAN I NEED” Live in the RED DRESS please you will not be disappointed 🥰 I love all you guys reactions!!
My favorite performance ever.
@Monquita Cannon - they reacted to that song on NOV 5, 2020. I don't believe it made it here, but it's on their Patreon page. The definitely enjoyed it and I loved the reaction. 😀
They did react to "All the Man I Need"...and and loved it! 🙂
She ate that!!!
And I have always loved this song!
"All the man that I need" live for the troops video is amazing.
Fun Facts:
1. Dolly Parton wrote this song & Whitney Houston sang this as a cover.
2. Dionne Warwick is her cousin, a great singer herself. Check out Dionne Warwick's video "Walk on By." She's wearing a nice green dress while performing with background dancers.
Run to you and Queen of the Night from The Bodyguard are amazing!
