My dealer gave me a 2019 M340i as a loaner while my X5 is in for service. I had recently driven an F80 M4 competition package. I can say 100% that the new M340i is an AWESOME car. It does not have the full on "raw" feeling of the M3/M4s, and the handling is a bit softer, and the 8 speed shifts less violently than the DCT in the M car - but overall, the new M340i is 90% as good as the outgoing M cars. For a daily driver it gives you almost all the power of the M car, close handling, WAY more technology, and more modern looks. If I was in the market for a CPO M3 or an M340i - it would be a tough decision. If you must have all out performance above all else, go with the M. If you value comfort to some degree and like the bells and whistles/gizmos - and are happy with 80-90% of the performance - go M340i. What a great loaner! Love my dealer!

For my money, I've always loved the F07 GT series. Love the styling and the luxury can't be beat. I'm getting a 15/16 this fall and then I'll be working on mods for a while.
I love my 2016 340xi M-sport! So as long as it is better, maybe in 2-3 years I will buy a used one :). Can't bring myself to buying a brand new car anymore.
Could you maybe make a video on xc90? Bcoz i have watched tons of videos and I still have no idea how good or sporty or powerful the 400 hp t8 is and if its a silent, safe family car or is it good for the occasional fun.. among the big SUv's.. m tied between the Volvo xc90 t8 hybrid and the x5

It’s funny how many people buy M3’s and they realize a year later it’s not the best daily driver. Then they dump it cheap just to get out of it fast. This M340 is gonna be the best balance. Problem is that it looks like every other new 3 series. B58 is a great engine. In the future, people are gonna call it a Supra engine. 😂

i just got the 330I and its great but the APP and technology is way behind, the APP is useless it slow and takes for ever to send a command and digital key option it been horrible to set up

Rest all the reasons you've elaborated well already ! ( fresh look, nice tech , etc) . I like how BMW is adding a lot of HP to all their new models. The M550i is 523hp, this one is nice value for money when given the new design and performance.

@@ryanb8736 You dont buy a car to hold its value but by buying whats right for you the first time will mean you will be happier with it for much longer and the depreciation drops less each year the longer you have it.
B58 engine bro. This will revolutionize the great reliability of the car as it will also be in the supra. Also will be wide range of tunes to the engine as it will come stock in the 2020 supra.
The sad part about it, every series is becoming an M badged model. Completely devalues the enthusiasm of owning a real M car. I have a E60 M5 with 134K and 335i convertible with 156k. Once they go, I’m walking away from bmw experience for while. Between the depreciation and the fake M badging (good business for bmw, no doubt), my enthusiasm ran out.
Hey, I’m looking to buy my first car and I have my eye on the 3 series. I really like the F30 style and since u are way more knowledgeable on bmw, is there a significant difference between 2012 and 2013 model? If I was to buy one is getting a 2013 worth the money or just get 2012?
I'm here as promised yesterday! Do you remember? 😉 They new features are cool, but the F30 looks better and feels much like a 3 series. The G20 ist too long, feels more like a 5 series to me. I just can't warm with the new BMW design. 1 series looks really strange too, nothing to the aggressiv look of the F20.
I’m not 100% on this but I remember reading that same engine is in the new Z4. I don’t know if it’s in the 340 also. That’d be great if it was because a phenomenal motor

A real M car will hold its value better compared to a 340i, so in the long run its the better option. Plus no more manuals for non M cars.
Even the new M’s are not even holding their value. Regular 3 series lose their value fast. I’m sure this M340 will be the same as well.

NeTriXz get a 2014 or 2015 as the turbo waste gates allow for more power vs 12-13 I had a 12 myself
