- Many songs from the Tamil Films have been ignored periodically for reasons best known to no one. Especially, never or rarely attempted in any reality shows, stage shows or competitions.
When the nation is on a Quarantine, Subhasree Thanikachalam launches this new series.
This series will feature a set of rare songs that are rarely heard, rarely performed and she will also try and give some trivia for the songs.
The songs will all be performed by young singers who came out of her shows, which mainly focussed on old songs. The sessions are unplugged and performed with minimum instrumentation. No retakes. One stretch live performance..

Subhashri's preface and the anecdotes of the making of the song, gives more impetus to listen to the song. This song is from 1958' which means six decades, (62yrs), the song had survived, and it is great to see, uthara Unni krishnan, and Unnikrishnan himself singing, ( two generations joining togather to recreate the magic, also none of them were born... This shows the quality of film music, the love for language, culture, tradition and tamil heritage. It is a testement, for tamil film music, having said that how many current crop of songs will be able to survive for decades, a question should trigger conscience in the musicians to produce music, which will stand time, not like fast food / junk food...... Thank u Ms. Subhasri Thanikachalam, for coordinating with the musicians and producing a feast for our ears through yesteryears film music, by paying gratitude to the DOYENS (musicians) of our tamil film fraternity .
