First off… great videos and instructions and attention to details. I’m fixing to do the same… if I can correctly get my factory trim off and cleaned up properly. It looks like I have the same lettering. Mine are kind of a matte black in color, I have the tabs on back I have to cut off. Mines got a fully covered adhesive backing but not necessarily 3m. ( don’t know how it will hold up ). My question for you is …. Did yours originally come with an adhesive backing or were they just the plastic ridges I see in your video. Thank you in advance
Yea, sure! I'm on my 4th set of those F'ing RAM letters on my 2015 Limited. My body shop says he has somebody in there at least once a week with a RAM truck with letters that fell off. He has a FULL BOX of the extra letters he has removed or not needed to install (since they come in sets). It is the DUMBEST thing RAM did on the truck, tape letters that are not flat (they are ribbed with 1/16" wide plastic ribs about every 1" across each letter), and try and make them stick on a truck that sits outdoor in summer sun (100+ degree's), winter (-5 degrees), rain, snow, ice..... just DUMB! There is no "tape" in the world that will hold them on. There are shops on Amazon and Ebay making a good living selling replacement RAM letters to all of us.
@@rushtonworks9186 good to hear its still holding on. Im gonna be raptor lining my old S10 soon. I got the tintable raptor with the flame red raptor tint pouches.
Next time lightly sand the area behind the letters, wipe with alcohol then use gorilla construction adhesive. Wait 5 minutes until it gets a little tacky then apply. Im a 2nd gen dodge ram owner and I use it as well
I hope they still on, Im thinking on doing the same thing but over notmal tailgate paint
Still holding strong!
I used the 3m tape too and its lose already and its only been one month
Mine is still holding great with the glue as well.

When used properly and surfaces properly prepped, that 3m tape will hold! Good video, thanks for sharing!

Nice! Hopefully it holds up this time.
If it doesn't it wasn't meant to be! :)
@@rushtonworks9186 No. Its meant to be looks to good. Just be ready for video part 3. I think it's good now tho. Knock on would.
@@pzpinkslip123 lol-:I like it but dang I don't want to do video number three :)
Looks awesome!
Should havve flipped that m upside down and made it say WAR instead of RAM. I would!
Better than ARM or MAR
@@rushtonworks9186 u could make it say RAW or cut the leg off the R and make it say WAP
I wonder if using an adhesion promoter on the raptor where the letters go to help it stick?
Possibly, but I think the tape and Loctite combo did the trick. Still on there strong

Where can we purchase the letters?
Hey how are the letters are they still on the tailgate
Haven't budged a bit!
Double sided tape and silicone in the center. Thats the best way to do it.
Hey check out Thunderer trac grip mt tires great look for this truck
Those are some beefy looking tires. They would look great-need a sponsor. :)
