One of my all time favorite songs. It sends chills through me every time she hits those high notes. They are sooooo good together. And yes, you are right, he is blind. She helps guide him on and off the stage and gets him in position in front of the mic.
This performance always makes me cry. It's like their voices touch a part of me deep deep down and its sung with so much love, hope and inspiration. Love it.
Absolutely. The role was actually written for her, as she was married to Andrew Lloyd Webber at the time. We saw her live a couple of years ago, and she can still hit all the notes, despite being in her early 60s, which is really amazing, since the high notes are among the first to disappear as a singer ages.
This was played at my mothers funeral because she loved it and what do you know 2moro is her Birthday so thanks for playing this one brings a tear to my eye every time BEAUTIFUL.
He is blind and has the most powerful voice of any human. I witnessed him twice and sounds the same live as recorded. It's unbelievable the voice he has. You cannot be anything but in awe.
@@christineoneal666 not to be disrespectful to your opinion but aren't you forgetting about Pavarotti... EDIT. I don't mean to be rude really. It's just that most people I know would definitely put Pavarotti before Bocelli in terms of voice (sorry if I don't make sense, English is not my native language)
@@mrchaplin6261 Sorry, I liked Elvis, but when you're talking about quality of the voice he's hardly in the same class as Luciano to Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Placedo Domingo and numerous others.
I love this tune. I loved your reaction to it. Andrea Bocelli has had a film about his life story. I would recommend a watch. He was born with eye problems and an unfortunate accident in his youth made him permanently blind. He loved music as it calmed him and from it he learned a vast array of musical instruments as well as listening to opera he found he could sing. It was Luciano Pavarotti who boosted him into the limelight after listening to one of his songs. One of the songs he performed with another famous singer was The Pearl Fishers with Placido Domingo. Excellent. Fun fact is he is also a lawyer. My favourite opera music is O Mio Babbino Caro - Maria Callas. Her life story is also interesting. And my other top two favourites are Song to the Moon - Rusalka by Dvorak. Which is set with a water nymph in love with a man she saw by the waters edge. So she sings her love to the Moon. Kind of like The Little Mermaid. The Flower Duet - Lamke by Gondinet & Philippe Gille. If you ever wish to delve into classical music Andre Reiu us a conductor and his whole crew (opera, full orchestra) go on tour. If you look him up you are guaranteed big orchestra epic classical music with a big whack of bright stage performance. My favourite he does is 'Highland Cathedral' with a lovely Manoe Konings on bagpipes. For a woman who has gone through cancer, she can belt a tune out.
Yes, Jayy, Andrea is blind and it's not wrong to ask. This video still sends chills up my spine. The chemistry between them is so obvious. Please watch "Fall on Me" with Andrea and his son, Matteo, who is also a great singer. I cry every time.
I love watching these two perform together. She knows how to guide him and position him through touch, and you can sense absolute adoration from them both. Always lovely to watch. Just subbed!
When my daughter was 2, her GMa played this and my Sara instantly fell in love with it. For the longest time, I had to play it constantly for her. Sweet Memories.
Andrea Bocelli teamed up with country music singer and musician Alison Krauss. They sing Amazing Grace and it is fantastic! Their voices together are amazing. Look up the English translation of the Italian song Andrea and Sarah sang...... Con Te Partiro. Beautiful!
These are the people that Incredible Marcelito emulated . Doesn’t get any better than this. My Husband died 1-12-2020 and this song brought so much comfort.
...amazingly beautiful, the first time I heard Andre Bocelli and Sarah Brightman I was out there buying there cds...Yeees! Cd 😅Your surprise looks, and clapping, priceless...Peace
The first time I heard this song I was at an Italian festival in Pittsburgh, Pa. I had never heard it before and I wept. I couldn’t stop the emotion. Idk why I was crying I was just moved by the beauty of the song.
I love that you are a young person watching this. I was 15 years old when I became obsessed with Phantom of the opera which in turn led me to be obsessed with Sara Brightman's singing which led to me learning about Andrea Boccelli. My mom gave me the album Romanza when I was in high school! I fell IN LOVE with Andrea Boccelli's voice and HIM!!!! I listened to this song over and over again! This reaction video makes me so happy!
Some really incredible voices in this genre. Even though it’s typically written in languages I don’t speak, I still feel I understand it because of how expressive the voices are.
Music is the universal language, my friend. Not every person will speak the same language nor understand each other. But music does. Lastly, English is one of the worst languages to sing because of the consonances and vowel placement. I’ve sung in school choir and I never liked singing in English.
2 absolutely amazing voices. It always amazes me everytime I watch this. It looks like Sarah is straining every muscle to get her voice that good but Andrea just makes it look so effortless. This is probably my favourite performance of a song of all.
Your reaction was so pure and perfect!! It's so cool to see young people find and experience the talent that my generation was so fortunate to come if age to!!! Andrea is and has been blind since ge was a small child,,,just fyi!
You look so beautiful with your reaction to the song. You can see the beauty in the so g come out through your eyes and beautiful face amazing keep up the beautiful work.
Sarah brightman is one of my favorite singers. Andrea is angelic. Together in this song they are heaven. One of my favorite songs. Thanks so much for doing this. Much love.
Magnifico! Jayy we did this in choir... and yes we had to sing it in Italian!!! Lucky we had the music sheet in front of us. Very hard to sing. Very emotional piece
You know that moment when you say aarrrh to yourself looking at Judy Garland singing in her prime or Gene Kelly still dancing in that rain captured in time forever ; these two capture that kind of moment and when we witness it, we all know it adds to what is the best in humankind.
The music, orchestra is just stellar. And these two artists are stunning. WOW Opera, some think it's not good or they wouldn't like it, but its an ancient form of singing, with storytelling being the aim. You did a good job of reacting. VOICES, no auto tune, not engineering, etc. Pure.
I love seeing someone hear a classically trained voice for the first time. It truly is amazing the human voice’s range. One of my great aunts was classically trained having attended the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore in the late 1910s and her voice was absolutely incredible. Whether at a family gathering or simply singing the National Anthem at a crowded public event, she definitely turned heads.

Sarah was the original Christine in "Phantom of the Opera." and Andrea is the greatest tenor in the world right now.
Sarah was originally a dancer on Top of the Pops in the UK during the 70's. Later she was Andrew Lloyd Webber's partner - then the voice!
