Hi, from the video I understand that once you complete minimum duration of stay in the Netherlands (3 or 5 years), it takes 12 months for IND to decide and another 12-15 weeks for the Naturalization cermoney. In short 3 Years + 12months + 12-15 weeks to be able to get the passort. Can you comment if that is correct.
@@NoorKhan-vw3qh the time line you discribed is worst case cenario po. The 3 years stay in the Netherlands is indeed correct. Then the IND has 12 months to evaluate your application for Dutch citizenship. That is maximum! In our case we got aproval after 6 months! Then the townhall of your city has to call you for the ceremony and they did this in our case within 6 weeks. They wait until they have a small group of people so they do not have the ceremony for every applicant individually. So normally it seldom takes the maximum amount of time they have. I hope this info helps po

i'd like to ask if netherland has a citizenship by investment program in real estate or other form of investment? does person need to renounce their current citizenship? is netherland allow dual citizenship?
I don't think we have investment programs that alow you citizenship in the Netherlands but I'm not sure. I've never heard of that. After three years of legal stay in the Netherlands you can apply for Dutch citizenship. If you are married, you can aply for dual citizenship and when you are not married you have to renounce your current citizenship.
How did she get to retain her country’s passport? I thought you had to have been living up to 15 years for that to be allowed? And if did not you had to renounce your countries passport… Im so confused.
Sorry for the late response. After 3 years in the Netherlands you can aply for Dutch citizenship already. You have to renounce your Filipine citizenship, unless you are married to a Dutch citizen. Regain your Filipine citizenship you can do at the Filipine Embassy in Den Haag.
Hi Rachel, I have the same situation as you was and my question is. I live with my girlfriend and we are not married or registered partnership but just samenwonen and we live in same address. Is that ok also for the citizenship after 3 years? Dank je 😊
@@dutchpinaylife i will , in fact still 1 year left and i think they count the time when you register in the Gementee, am I right? Or they count when I get the residence permit??
You have to prove you were 3 years legal in the Netherlands. You do that by registering in a town at an address. . So they count from the day of registration. Only a visa does not prove that you were in the Netherlands, because you can stay in more European countries with your MVV. so yes, they told me they count from the day you are registered at an address.
If you are married you can keep your Filipine citizenship and ask for dual. If you are not married you have to renounce your Filipine citizenship as soon as you get your Dutch passport.
We sure did have messages and conversations before I went to the Philippines to meet my then girlfriend. It's so important to meet eachother face to face to see if things will work out 😁
When you arrive they give you a 30 day visa. You can right away extend that to 59 days. When you stay longer than 59 days, you need to aply for a acr-i card. It's an ID card that you need after staying more than 2 months. You can extend for 2 months at a time every time your visa expires. Make sure you do not stay longer than 6 months, because after that you need to aply for an exit clearance. So go home no later than one day before the six months are done. Saves a lot of paperwork and money too, I believe. I think these procedures are not changed lately, but maybe check at the site of the bureau of immigration of the Philippines.
When I got my Dutch passport. Then i took the oath in Dutch. Then I applied for dual citizenship (because I'm married to a Dutch man I can) at the Philippine Embassy and I had to take the Philippine oath with the Philippine emassador. So two oaths 😁
Hindi ko ginigive up ang pH citizenship ko kc kasal ako if hindi ka kasal need mo igive up at padalhan ka Nila ng letter na igive up MO.what I did is nag apply ako ng dual citizenship.
