    How To Air Chair - 3 Common Airchair Mistakes
    Today, we're going to talk about airchair and the common mistakes beginners make when trying to do the airchair.
    There are 3 main areas where they make these mistakes:
    #1: Legs
    #2: Core
    #3: Stabbing Arm
    Mistake #1: Legs
    What most beginners like to do is that they like to kick both their legs in the air and hope somehow they land in an airchair. My opinion is that you should, instead, kick your legs one-by-one. Use your non-master leg then your master leg to get into your airchairs.

    Mistake #2: Core
    The 2nd mistake most beginners make is not activating their core. What they do is that they try to stab too high up, and end up not using their core. The correct position is where you keep your chest and core on the same plane as each other.
    The conditioning exercise to correct this mistake: 2:16
    Mistake #3: Stabbing Arm
    This mistake is where most beginners straighten or snap their arm, or they don't hold it and end up falling.

    does this work with unstabbed airchairs?

    • @ErinHuangBDD
      @ErinHuangBDD  7 років тому

      Saunder Ng it somewhat does except for the arms you push more upwards to unstab it. I recommend learning stabbed airchair first, unstabbed will come naturally

    I feel like my flexibility for this move isn't good enough. Do you think a good exercise is to have one hand on the ground in an air chair position while the other hand is placed on something higher off the ground?

    • @ErinHuangBDD
      @ErinHuangBDD  7 років тому

      Alan J I believe by flexibility you mean shoulder flex. doing chair freeze and doing shoulder stretches helps alot

    so is doing the air chair just throwing everything in the air? is that all you need to do in terms of execution? just lift everything?

    • @ErinHuangBDD
      @ErinHuangBDD  7 років тому +1

      What do you mean? It's understanding what I showed in the video

    • @NinjaGamer820
      @NinjaGamer820 7 років тому

      Breakdance Decoded but I mean like "step by step." Like a windmill, you need to first swing your legs, then get high on your back, etc etc. Is an airchair just lifting everything all at once?

    • @ErinHuangBDD
      @ErinHuangBDD  7 років тому

      Nemesis yes you can put it, however I have personal set of instructions for my students to help them get their airchair and airchair transitions faster

    • @NinjaGamer820
      @NinjaGamer820 7 років тому
