Carl, you´r simply the best......Lost in House is where I want to be......Thanks,,,,, really. Love dance music since was a child and know what I´m talking about.
I feel lucky to have witnessed the early Kellys nights pre Lush. Hurley, Molloy, Vertigo, Computer, Early Harmony nights, Carl Cox, Ultrasonic, Dye Witness, Dream Frequency, Njoi, Bassheads, Bin Man, Tall Paul, Tizer, Trix, QFX, Terrorize, Ultracynic, JX, Blu Peter, Mrs Woods, Love Decade, Scooter, PA Serious (binman/ricko) Xray & Sci to name but a few 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
There aren't many people from the dance scene that i would call a legend. Carl is definitely one of them. Had so many great nights listening to him in his techno days and he has constantly evolved since then. To top it off he seems like a great guy. Lush was a grear club...i have many great memories from the early years there.
Being a local lad I was in lush on weds and Saturdays 😂 but the nights on Saturdays were mega. Easter weekends also. Great times. Won club of the year so many times.
Great interview. I remember seeing Coxy in Kelly's several times at the monthly 'Harmony' events, which ran from around early 1991 to late 1993. Those Harmony raves were 1-2 years before the Battle of the Giants events. I still have tapes from those nights. I remember one Battle of Giants event, with Coxy on 3 decks versus DJ Trix (?) on 4 decks, when one chap broke in through the ceiling of the barn!! As usual when Coxy played it was a full-house and many ravers were unable to get in.
