Please watch other clips. You can pitch either inner or outer first. In June I had 2 Weeks cycle camping in France every morning the fly was wet so took inner down and put in pod bag nice and dry. Takes a little longer but well worth it. Brilliant tent for the price.
Hi, yes, I've never got on with doing an outer pitch first. It takes me very little time to pitch the tent and the inner is only exposed for a few minutes, if that. Even in a downpour the worst I've had is a sprinkling on the inner floor. It takes less than 30 seconds with a cheap sponge cloth to wipe the floor if anything does get in... would rather do that than spend 10-15 minutes becoming a contortionist and having to go out and adjust all the pegs again. It's nice to know the option is there though. I did an outer pitch first on one trip where I'd arrived early and just wanted a quick shelter. Then I decided near dusk to put up the inner, but otherwise it's the standard way for me. I have also taken down the outer and put it in a separate bag. I've just always pitched it inner first. I like the polyester version because it dries so quick compared to another sil nylon I've used.
I have the 1 person version. I don't like that it has an entrance on the front :< and mine doesn't have a mesh pocket/shelf anywhere inside, which i guess is a factory mistake in this particular one, but otherwise its great, very light and i like that it has a selfsupporting structure, that i dont have to pin anything to the ground.
Yes, it is a tight entrance. Feels nice and cosy though. I can imagine the 1 man would feel more cramped. The angled sides especially reduce the feeling of space inside. I wasn't sure if the 1 man had side guy lines. I find those really handy in windy conditions. Makes the whole thing feel nice and stable. I know the older 1 man version didn't. I do love this range of tent.
Good video, that cleared up a few things I was unsure about.. Thanks x
