Thank you for this video. I'm about to buy my first tent for bikepacking trips and after researching the choice was Cloud Up 2 Upgraded. But then you showed up in my YT feed with Cloud Up 2 Pro which I have never heard of before. And it might be what I needed. Thank you.
I’m glad you found the video useful 😊👍🏼 So far I can say it is a great tent and I’m very happy with the weight-size ratio. Whichever tent you decide, I wish you many successful camping trips. All the best 😊👍🏼🏕️
I recommend you do the 5 modifications from Fiskmas Adventures. As an extra modification I recommend the one I came up with to give it that missing interior space. You need to create a central drag strap between the two layers so that when you put the outer side wind line it pulls the inner one. I used 2mm rope, 4 crocodile clips and two sleeping pad repair patches.
Good idea, thanks for your suggestion. Although I would be concerned that over time the crocodile clips will wear out/damage the outer fly 🤔 All the best 🏕️👍🏼
@@GreeklishOutdoors 315 / 5.000 No, don't worry. The sleeping pad repair patches are for attaching flaps to the inside of the cover. The alligator clips will bite into those flaps, not the rain cover. I put bits of 2mm rope inside the flaps to give them thickness so the clip will bite in properly. I hope you understand.
Cheers mate, I’m glad you liked it. It depends on your budget to be honest. A very informative video. One always has to decide, whether the poles shall carry the inner fly - like in this tent - or carry the outer fly, on which the inner fly is then attached. With this tent, I guess, it would be possible just to raise the inner fly as a mosquito net. But raising the tent in the rain would mean some critical minuts, where the rain could come into the inner fly, through the mesh and on the flour. Living in a nordic climate, I prefer the latter.
Thanks very much 😊👍🏼 Yes I agree. Here in Greece it doesn’t rain that often, so this tent setup is fine for me, but if I was still in the UK or like you in a Nordic climate, I agree, having a tent where you can put the out fly sheet up first is more ideal. Have a great evening 😊👍🏼
I have been recently in search of a good tent bikepacking for 1 person. Good question. I’ve just measured it now and the floor width of the inner is the same at the front and back (49.5 inches/123.75 cm) when both sides are pulled tight (as would be the case when staked out). I hope that helps. All the best 😊👍🏼🏕️
Wow, wish I'd seen this when I bought my Cloud Up 2 Upgraded - you can see on my review of this I talked about the very issues this seems to have solved - the full mesh door seemed a bit draughty for winter or spring, so it's now half mesh, the lower sides vs the high-riding sides, and the door which didn't bother me but was a bit of a squidge. Also semes they made the inner bigger, I'm just over 6ft and only just squeeze into mine Cloud Up 2 'Upgraded' with about 1-2 inches to spare, so I usually go diagonally. @@GreeklishOutdoors i actually Never Order from aliexpress because im afraid i dont get the 20d version or Not the upgraded one :/ what Are your experiences?
I've just had a quick look at the Decathlon tent. If you compare the weight of the components for each tent, the MT500 fly is 1075 g, the bedroom (inner) is 835 g, tent poles are 600 g and the pegs are 180 g. Whereas for the Cloud up 2 pro, the fly is 360 g, the inner is 340 g, the poles are 475 g and the pegs are 130 g. The difference in the pole weight is expected as the MT500 has 3 poles versus the single pole for the Cloud up 2 pro. But the major difference is the weight of the fabric. The 75D polyester of the MT500 is quite a bit heavier than the 20D Nylon of the Cloud up 2 pro. Yes that means the MT500 is a bit tougher and also has a the same hydrostatic head rating. However, I don't think you need all that extra weight for regular camping. There is also more netting with the Cloud up 2, which is obviously lighter. I have a couple of Decathlon tents and I really like them, but as you say, they are heavy. I also have several NatureHike tents and they have worn very well too. The Cloud Up 2 pro will hopefully last me a long time. If you want something tougher, but with still an ok weight, the regular Cloud up 2 is fine and is still much lighter than the MT500. I hope that helps.

NatureHike Cloud Up 2/Cloud Up 2 Upgrade, Exactly right 👍🏼😊🏕️
Good morning I need two person's tent
This could be the tent for you…. But it will be warm for 2 people in the summer. If you want a 2 person tent with more space, then I’d recommend the 3F UL Gear Shell2 tent (I’ve previously reviewed it) ua-cam.com/video/z1xO0q5fkoQ/v-deo.htmlsi=r2fCVbuM38OQnO2R

Too hot
In summer here in Greece, it can definitely be hot inside. Perfect for Autumn to Spring though 😊🏕️👍🏼
