Welcome to our new video Bowness on Windermere.
Thank you for watching our videos, we love to hear from you in our comments and we reply to all of them.
In this video we show you an overview of the campsite, the car park adjacent to the site where you can park overnight for a price of £11. Tickets available from the machine.
Also you can park on the side of the road for free at certain times of the year at certain times.
The town is only 10 minutes walk from the campsite, great for an evening meal out in a pub or restaurant.
We caught the bus from the lake to Ambleside, 20 minute ride for only £2 max per ride anywhere per person.

Found on amazon, thank-you, we have wheel trims cable tied on so to check pressure is a faff.
Hi Jim and Kay, my wife and I really enjoy your Chanel, we got our first motorhome about a year ago, nearly got a pulsar actually but ended up with a 6 metre motorhome which is big enough for just the 2 of us. We live in Liverpool so regularly go to the lakes, usually Keswick which I would recommend as it's right on the lake. I noticed you mentioned a motorbike and was wondering if you still have it, my wife and I have a gs1200 which we tour on in Europe. We're going on our first trip to France in the motorhome this year and watched your France videos with interest, picked up a few tips which were grateful for. Hi Gary and Bev, I have had motorcycles for 48 years many different ones and me and Kay have toured Europe many times. One of the best tours was the Adriatic coast line on our way to Croatia. We sold the bike last year because we was not using it as much, we use the motorhome more these days. We still have a scooter that we take with us in the summer months on the back. The Adriatic coast, that sounds good! The van is a carado v132, it's a compact under 6 m so not much difference to a Ducato campervan really in size. Cos I'm so tall my head touched the roof in most of the campervans except the pulsar with it's extra height 😂
