Bob you're a star, I've had trouble with the Central locking on my had door and just watched this video. Seen your issue and cleaned my contacts and there you have it, Central locking on the hub door is back in action. This is just another reason I love UA-cam Vlogs. Thanks 😊
A great video Thankyou. Shame you didn't have time for the lovely walk to Stavely as the brewery and bistro is worth a visit . Also a few other interesting little shops. Next time! Enjoy your trip.
It's a fantastic site, we were there in 2021 just as covid restrictions lifted, so the pub wasn't open 😞 It's nearer to Kendal than Windermere, but access to both (and the rest of the lake district) is so easy. The entrance is hard to miss and you can only approach from one direction on the dual carriageway. From the other way, you have you go right up to the roundabout first! ... I would highly recommend it.
Come back from Southport on Monday. Saw the Adamo with the distinctive graphics on the end pitch and wondered who was driving it! Had I known it was Motorhome royalty, I’d have said hi! 😂
HI Bob Jenny and Poppy, loved the journey to the campsite at Windermere. A nice site and a great bike ride around the site, loved the music too. Shame it was raining the following day. Loved the details about the site costs, glad you got the door locking system working again, loved your banter, hope you enjoy Moffat x Julie and Tony x
Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy this site looks very picturesque. I don’t think you could misplace the motorhome with the enormous camel on it. I’m still waiting for my van to be repaired so I’m very grateful for your lovely videos.
For future ref - M6/M74 diesel. - Carlisle North interchange has a retail park with Asda self service petrol station. Good price, 24/7 easy access for motorhomes. Scottish friends gave us this tip and we’re keen to share.
Hi bob and Jenny we have just been to Windermere yesterday and stayed at troutbeck cmcs near Keswick. Great weather until bank holiday Monday we had rain all day.
Another great video Bob & Jen, thankyou! If I may add for info...Payload, all of the Ford's can be up plated to 4100kg as a paper exercise for those with C1. The cab... the 'Trend' spec' is also fitted with a heated windscreen. Entrance door, the central locking sensors also have 2 wires attached to the contacts, these have a habit of detaching although it's quite a simple task to reconnect them for owners who are confident to do so. Take care guys, looking forward to your future vlogs in the Ford. Iain, admin F Line Owners Group.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo I can't answer definitively for the Bailey or the new Swifts Bob but the towing capacity on all of the F Lines is reduced from 1000kg to 500kg.
That video was great. I always love how Bob diligently does the filming and gives the commentary but Jenny is in the background and always so knowledgeable. I laughed out loud when you mentioned the payload and the Aqua roll and then Jenny slipped in it would have been heavier if you’d remembered the handle 🤣🤣. She’s so quiet and calm but so integral to your videos. It’s definitely the Bob and Jenny Earnshaw channel in my opinion 😊
Always interesting seeing videos of people driving on roads that I use everyday! 😊 I live just near that site and everyone gets confused as to where to turn off! Never realised it was so big, or that it was actually called the Windermere site - that’s more than a bit cheeky as it’s near enough 10 miles from Windermere!
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Haha, probably! I once heard someone describe Watford as being in ‘the north’! Would be more accurate to say South Kendal tho. You should have gone into Staveley - it’s a lovely little village, couple of nice pubs (one by the river and a brewery) and a fabulous little family run Gelato place if you’re into that.
We do like the C & CC sites. We find them a lot greener then the CAMC sites, lots of grass and trees throughout the site. Very friendly sites (the ones we’ve been to)
You’re on the exact same pitch I was on the other week😂. It’s such a peaceful site and right between Windermere and Kendal so perfect for exploring. I’ve been on the Kendal site and it’s smaller and not as nice as this one. Great video once again ❤
You are so lucky to live just and hour and a half from Windermere. This looks like it’s going to be a lovely tour. We have not been to this site but we have noticed the CCC tariffs are still cheaper than the CMC and offer good value. That camel really stands out 🤣🤣 so funny. What do the campsite wardens think of it ? 🚐💙 Trev
A favorite part of the Uk for me , many a holiday over the years , at various sites . Last year near St Bees . I didn’t enjoy the coast so much as I thought I would , I’ll stick to the Lakes in future.
Another great video. Nice to see the roads leading up to site, well edited.. what software do you use to edit with.? Are you apple or Windows? Sue and Mark.
Looks like lovely site. I was at the RiverBeamish site last week and it was more than half empty. Sadly I lost my wee travelling companion Corrie yesterday, she was 15 on the 14th of April and had a stroke over the weekend. So from Twa Westies a yr ago it’s nae Westies now. Enjoy your trip.
That looks a massive site, but very nice as well, loved the bike ride tour 🙂 Bar looked very nice, Lake district is such a beautiful place, Debz wants to go there this year in our Consort ( not long now 🙂 ) We have friends who have a caravan on Gillside Campsite near Ulswater, will be going there at some point. Hows the van performing ? All the best Trev, Debz and Tyler
Bin on that site couple times. The last time a woman tried uphook one of my spaniels a rare colour one. I only went fill water up for them. Good job a caught her. X
Can't say I have, I see it's got Nicky Horne, remember him from Capital. The Bauer group are involved. They just closed down Land River Owner Magazine, moving into radio now.
But unlike Greatest Hits Radio, they do not own them though and hopefully that will not change. Give it a go. Great presenters and of course David Hamilton.
great video bob ,,that's my fav site for fishing the lakes ,,whistling pig used to be a cracking little pub run by a Scottish family taken off them by the club during covid ??,,i was there last week and it was full ,,there s a nice pub in stavely just at the bridge if you go back again worth a visit ,,,
Hi folks looking forward to your reports on your trip, just wandering if you will be using the Avtex wifi, as the review of your own will be some time off now that you have the Bailey, regards to you all, safe onward touring.😊
Looks a very pretty location and nice site - price didn’t seem too bad either given the recent increases in the prices. Nice cycle around the site. Thanks for sharing as great context on the location and the surrounding area (and handy directions too) Enjoy the rest of your trip. All the best, David & Rachel 👍
I honestly think Bailey have gone backwards in the last few years. I bought a Bailey Alliance 76-4t in 2019 and would not swap it for any of the current models.

Maybe next time, it was raining nearly all the following day.

No danger of losing it in Sainsburys. 👍

Thanks, yes I saw it can be up-plated. I assume that you would lose any towing capacity as the GTW would remain the same?

Squirt of WD40 plus kitchen roll got my hab door lock working remotely again. Really enjoyed the bike ride around the site with you, Bob.

They were quite interested in the graphics, we told them what it was about, no problems.
Lovely site Bob, we must make an effort to visit the lake district.
It's a must visit place certainly. A huge area too, don't expect to see everything in one go.
Love your content as always. I think you'd love an automatic transmission in your Motorhome Bob?! Love to all 😊
Oh yes next has to be auto. Makes driving so much easier.

The van sounded amazingly quiet on the road
The engine is a lot quieter than the Fiat.

Another great video Bob just catching up just crossed the Bulgarian border into Turkey heading for Istanbul
Wow that sounds like some adventure!
Sorry, don’t like the choice of music Bob when you’re doing the tour…….sounds like a Thriller movie 😮
But great review of the site. Thanks.
It was a bit spooky...
Ford a much more comfortable & quieter ride than the Fiat.
Yes, a much softer ride.
